  • As a Washington fan let me say the following. Crosby is the better player in that he makes others play better. Ovi is the better scorer. On the other hand ever since Ovi got the C he has focused too much on leading. Laich deserves to lead that way Ovi can focus again on his offense.

  • finally for all you ovechkin fans who say crosby sucked ovechkin even said he was better, but that not what matters to me, i hate when people fan a player and say every other player sucks

  • 0:10 crosby shaking ass

  • lol at ovechkins face at :23 .....knew he wasnt human

  • @AnzeKopitarFan11 have you ever seen datsyuk throw a check? Or fight in the corner for a puck? Yes he has good hands. But ovi has hands as well as speed datsyuk lacks the speed. Yes both can shoot but yet ovi most of the time has more goals. Ovi is the best player in the game right now. He's better than cry baby, datsyuk, kessel, and any other top goal scorer you can think of. He's the best all round player. Nuff said

  • @irishlax1610 the person u call "cry baby" im guessing is crosby? if he were actually playing he would be way better than ovechkin

  • @irishlax1610 hahahhahahahahahahahhhahahahaahahahahahahahahahahah you said ovi is the best in the league.. i fell outta my chair i was laughing so hard.. well if were talking goals then Steven Stamkos! nuff said. hahahahhahahahahah ovi is not far from being the best though..

  • @irishlax1610 Yes I have seen Dats throw the body, plenty of times. And making people look like fools battling in the corners. Ovi is one tracked, while Dats is the best two way player, period. Ovi is -6, Dats is +16 and has nearly as many assists as Ovi does points. However, Ovi has better English, I'll give him that.

  • 230 pounds my ass.

  • Now I get him

  • it's amazing how well people can speak english when they take home your currency in large form....part of the job...show respect to the poor that back your skills when being taped and never diss other players; that would just be bad. Just go for the head when on the ice, free assault no charges big bonus at the end of the season for taking out the skilled. Love the game hate the owners. Where else can you get a beer at the price of a 24 and sit in a shitty seat for half a weeks pay. T.O.

  • his english is pretty good for being Russian

  • who cares if crosby sucks or ovechkin sucks.. datsyuk is better than both of them

  • @AnzeKopitarFan11 hahahaha word to that

  • @AnzeKopitarFan11 your on crack did datsyuk beat ovys record or crosbys no

  • @potovino doesnt matter, datsyuk is a better all around player than both of them... hows ovi doing this year? exactly ;) and hows crybaby crosby doing this year? exactly ;)

  • @AnzeKopitarFan11 LOL. You wish.

  • @kirstinxxcouture actually i know... ovi may be a better scorer but thats it.. datsyuk is better than both of them and you know with crosby crying about his vagina sprain hes never gonna play again but yeah datsyuk is a better stick handler, better skater, if not better than as good as scorer and both of them, and a better all around team player.. as on the capitals its all about ovechkin according to him

  • @AnzeKopitarFan11 oh you so smart !

  • @kirstinxxcouture why thank you. nothing else to say? well that was a dumb question if you had something else to write you would have wrote something.

  • he is the BEST, understand this !

  • kinda reminds me of Butthead, uhhh uhhh

  • uhh I drink vodka uhh where did my teeth go?

  • Crosby is better on Ice. I'm not saying Ovechkin is "bad", he's only a bit worse.

Ovechkin is better socially. Crosby is just a dick towards other players and he cries as soon as his team loses.

There. I'd go for Crosby, but his style really puts him down my list. Ovechkin is a funny guy and when he smiles, it looks like he really enjoy life as it is.

I don't "love" any of those two, but they're good players.

  • @Chekkogrnteam so your whole speech was useless as you could not conclude what you actually like, why would you try to say something without knowing what actually you want to say... just remove yourself from youtube mate

  • @Artemushka1 Say that again with proper punctuation.

    Try again.

  • @Chekkogrnteam sorry, i'm not a native english speaker

  • @Artemushka1 Neither am I...

  • @Chekkogrnteam sorry for being rude as well

  • @Artemushka1 Hurray.

Now we're strangers again and we will probably never meet ever again. I do wish you good luck in your life.

  • @Chekkogrnteam Likewise

  • lol at :23 troll face

  • @ChuicyProductions is it hard to do like this 0:23

  • @repeHAX i thought i pressed the 0 but i guess i didnt

  • Ovie is the best!!!!!!!

  • He's drunk! It's how Russians play hockey good :)

  • toews and datsyuk have taken over the nhls best

  • the look on the pens fan's face at 00:24... priceless.

  • @PhishB0wl priceless indeed

  • что бы тут не говорили овечкин лучший ,а русский хоккей первый в мировом рейтинге))))))))))))))))), и плевать он хотел на ваш английский))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

  • i huh but huh and huh haha I'm not jugging hes English cuz I'm from sweden so I'm not better then him but its so funny he can't say a complete sentence without saying uhh.

  • @MyMuffinking if you havent noticed almost every hockey player says uhh when they are talking, its not because of his bad english...

  • @theYellowBooger Yes he has truly mastered the "boring hockey player" guise for interviews

  • He's Russian morons, his English is obviously going include Um's and Uh's

  • ya uhhh im uhh going uhh to uhhh kickuhh asssential uhh but

  • @jamonit441 , i like ovechkin its called a joke simmer down

  • if you think his english is bad I can't imagine what he thinks of your russian.

  • @6BURG9 His English isn't that bad compared to others.

  • @6BURG9 my russian is better than his english.

  • @jdjdjdjd3330

good for you buddy im proud

  • @6BURG9 well i'm just sayin...

  • @6BURG9 YES great comment! made me laugh so hard

  • @nab742

    ;)

  • @nab742

    ;)

  • @6BURG9 been over checking over chicken

  • 0:11 it looks like crosby is trying to get humped lol

  • @theYellowBooger why don't you try learning Russian and try to communicate in Russian to a Russian audience and not having to think about what you are saying? English is not Ovechkin's first language, so give him a break.

  • @theYellowBooger

let's see how you speak russian...

  • uhhhh huhhhh looks like Alexis would rather talk about Crosby than himself lol, he likes to talk about superstars and not floaters

  • Having played hockey for about 14 years, i find i Play best and most competitive when i have a friend on the other team!

  • @bbabins45 oh come on u dont evenknow how to skate little bitch

  • @funkki88 why was that necessary? I do play my best and have the most fun against my friends. Whats with the rude comment?

  • @bbabins45 sorry i was drunk :D

  • 0:25 Thats the real Ovi!

  • This is KGB technique say alot no one understend shit

  • You guys go over to Russia and give a good interview without screwing up at all then come back and make fun of Ovi.

  • look at the guy right above ovechkins right shoulder at 0:24

  • uhhhhhhhh, ummmmmmmmmmmmm, uhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • @datsyukdeke1 Are you fucking kidding me... What on earth do they teach you at school?? The most spoken language in the world is Mandarin Chinese..

  • uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, and uhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • @hixyjm My point is that it's great that someone has taken the effort to learn a new language. Even though he doesn't speak English fluently, everyone can recognize what he's trying to say...

  • @NHLMkks It's all Crosby fanboys on this page... the only thing they can make fun of Ovy for is his english skills... cause they can't make fun of his hockey skills

  • @anewillss has Crosby caught him in points yet? hahahaha

  • @anewillss haha ya true

  • @anewillss Ovy isn't that good nowadays, so people can make fun of him now. As for his English, it's pretty good considering he only learnt it without schooling. Many North Americans can only speak one language so we shouldn't make fun of others who know more than one. At least he can converse without an interpreter, unlike Semin who still needs one.

  • @canuck21 You should hear Malkin talk.

  • @canuck21 Agreed completly.

  • :D I think you should try to speak Russian.. Ovy would laugh his ass off! Wake up you stupid Americans.. English is not the only language in the world and not even the most common..

  • @NHLMkks but it is the most widely spoken language by successful people in the world. why would anyone bother learning russian? no one speaks it outside of russia.

  • @NHLMkks Then what is the most common language.....?

  • who cares if he can speak english. he makes bank

  • he looks like the FPS-russia guy...

  • um, uuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • give the guy a break on his english. fuck sakes

  • yellowbooger.....

speak two languages do you? didn't think so douche......thats russian for douche bag. say that to his face

  • shut up with your "uhh" comments ... hes russian the most russian ppl speak this way .. !

  • @TeamXtremeMvz russians who dont know english that well is what u mean lol

  • @Haures66 Yeah ... kinda xD

  • The only thing haters have against Ovi is his accent. LOL

  • uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh he won a stanley cup and gold medal and uhhh i cant

  • lmao, wait, i wanna see all these kids mockin how he talks go to russia and have an interview, let alone be one of the top players in the world...ohh, and if ur already workin on ur comment to try to bitch back at me, u should erase the hating on caps part, cause im not even a caps fan....

  • uhhhhh hmmmmm uhhhhh yeah, uhhhh but uhhhhhh on the ice he's uhhhhhh you know?

  • @theYellowBooger how many languages do you speak. i guess 1 cuz ur a yank and all americans are stupid rednecks like yourself.

  • @max432156 no I am not.are you?

  • @ItzzNORTH to bad ovechkin is one of the best in the league and can actually take a hit and not cry about it

  • @ItzzNORTH he's payed to play hockey. Not be attractive or be good at public speaking.

  • @ItzzNORTH He has no teeth and still gets more bitches then you

  • @ItzzNORTH but he has millions and bitches begging to ride him. U?

  • @ItzzNORTH thats okay because he's the best player in nhl, has millions of dollars, and a smokin hot girlfriend.

  • @meganfavorite2 Best player? no, he isnt the best player

  • I literally didn't understand one thing he just said

  • @Iknowaghost19 maybe your brain is rotten?

  • @theYellowBooger English is his second language.

  • i cant understand a thing

  • @Cheesiethecheese are u retarted? cuz i understand without any difficulties. i guess american redneck.

  • Ovi forced that out, and immediately threw up after the interview. These are facts.

  • Ovechkin should become an English teacher after the NHL-career.

  • @DeathMagnetic90 English sucks!! most of white population of America are anglicized germans

  • Ovechkin i made a book trailer about the ovechkin project and it's on my channel buddy123786 watch i made it for you

  • i like how no one is really talking about ovi? hahaha

  • OV's a cocky asshole but he can be, and the only people crosbys ahead of are those in line at burger king

  • if points dont matter, then i guess gretzky is a bad player, because im pretty sure if he had average points he wouldent be the best. points do matter, crosby is better, stop saying datsyuk is because he isent, datsyuk is a great player but he cant dominate five people around the ice. ive seen syd play in games, ive seen, datsyuk play, crosby is alot more effective.

  • @metalheadjake11 Datsyuk HAS dominated five people around the ice before, and points aren't the only thing that matters. Datsyuk scored 97 points and won the Selke in a year that Crosby scored 103. In that season, it's easy to say Datsyuk was miles ahead of Crosby, as his defensive play likely stopped a dozen more goals, making up the difference in offensive stats.

  • @kdfsjljklgjfg datsyuk isent miles ahead of crosby haha. Im a bruins fan, and when the pens played us, crosby tore us apart. when the redwings played us, datsyuk did nothing maybe a few shots, not saying he is a bad player because he is a great player. but crosby is a much more effective player to be of the ice with. and crosby is like 9 years younger and he is almost the same with datsyuk in stats.

  • @metalheadjake11 I was at a B's/Wings game last February. Datsyuk dominated the game. I'm not saying that he's miles ahead of Crosby, but that season he definitely was.

  • @kdfsjljklgjfg Crosby has the ability to control a game. datsyuk has the ability to change it.

  • @metalheadjake11 In that by controlling a game you have the ability to change it, yes. Datsyuk is just about as good a passer as anyone, has an accurate shot, and is by far the best stickhandler in the league. Put them all together with his defensive ability, and you have a guy who can dominate play.

  • @kdfsjljklgjfg I mean offensivly, crosby can take a game over better then anyone in the league. even though he is not a defensive foward, he makes up for it of offence. sidney crosby is the best playmaker in the league and he can snipe lol, and go around player, and has crazy vision.

  • i bet theres not a GM in the league that would take datsyuk over crosby (considering he's healthy, obviously), including detroit

  • @zachichu Crosby isnt healthy! Fact is Crosby is whining crying moaning little bitch that has tons of skill but no defense. Talk to me when Crosby can own all 5 players in the offensive zone and play the boards, hit, get to the front of the net and stay there, become an all-around player:) Crosby cant because hes a little bitch.

  • @CamericaUSA hahaha intelligent response man. im pretty sure crosby can and does do all those things. talk to me if datsyuk ever cracks 100 points or even score more than 32 goals in a season. its pretty sad that he cant do those things considering his linemates are all stars compared to crosbys. maybe you dont notice crosbys defense because hes in the offensive zone for 90% of his shift...its also funny that youre calling crosby a bitch when datsyuk wins the lady bing and has 1 career fight

  • @zachichu Crosby doesnt do those things. Datsyuk has won the Selke also and you know what that means. Crosby has never won it. My point proven. Crosby can have all the offense he wants. But we will see when he returns if hes as good as everyone thinks he is.

  • @CamericaUSA how is your point proven? i never said crosby would win a selke. crosbys role isnt to shut down the other teams top line. that's staal's. so obviously he's never goign to win a selke. youre saying "he cant" do those things because he cant play defense. he can, and does when he has to. btw, gretzky or lemieux never won a selke either. i guess datsyuk is a better player than they are too? datsyuk has never won an mvp or art ross. i think those are a little more important than a selke

  • @zachichu Not to a team they aren't. Gretzky was a pussy just like Crosby.

  • @CamericaUSA I like how he's basically comparing Crosby to Gretzky and Lemieux. As if he's anywhere close.

  • @kdfsjljklgjfg Crosby only has a little bit of Gretzky's vision. Not his skill, but see Datsyuk is more tough than Crosby. Datsyuk over Crosby anyday.

  • its so dumb to expect them to be buddys....

  • Yay more people fighting about who is better. You cannot say a person in the NHL sucks because they are obviously good enough to be stars in the NHL.

  • Datsyuk is the best, he can defend, steal, pass, shoot, stick handle just as good and better than anyone... reason his stats won't show that is because Detroit play him differently if Crosby played for Detroit he would be having same numbers as Datsyuk....Stats don't prove everything so don't be naive and look at numbers watch them play. Crosby is great but hes no Datsyuk.

  • @ShowBusiness90 If thats the case then why not mention patrice bergeron to be the best. Because he can do all those things. he is one of the best players in the league in all 3 zones. yeah maybe pavel is more gifted on defence, but not on offence, sorry, the ability to put the puck in back of the net and playmake goes to crosby.

  • @metalheadjake11 Datsyuk = great offensive ability. Crosby = exceptional offensive ability. Datsyuk = exceptional defensive ability. Crosby = atrocious defensive ability. When it comes down to it, Datsyuk prevents enough goals and Crosby does little to prevent enough to make up the difference in actual point scoring. Datsyuk doesn't score 100 points per year because he doesn't have to. Detroit has other scorers, and their system is based on defensive responsibility, not scoring.

  • @kdfsjljklgjfg Wrong, he doesn't get 100 points because he couldn't even if his linemates feed him the puck all the time.

  • @lionbaiter He scored 87 points in a Selke winning season, TWICE. 13 points isn't a lot to gain when you go from being very focused on, to completely ignoring defense, especially given skill. And no, Datsyuk's teammates don't "feed him the puck all the time." An underrated part of his game is his playmaking, and he's just as likely to pass it as he is to shoot it. Just this last playoffs, he passed the puck on a 2 on 0 with an empty net.

  • @kdfsjljklgjfg crosby atrocious defensively? what games are you watching? he does backcheck and is very strong in the defenisve end. datsyuk doesnt put up huge point seasons becasue his team isnt based on scoring? detroit scored more goals per game last year than pitt, and pitt gave up fewer goals per game. so no, youre wrong. replace datsyuk with crosby on the pens, give him the same linemates (kunitz and dupuis) and he wouldnt even sniff crosbys point production

  • @zachichu IF Crosby had played the entire season last year, he wouldn't have broken the top 300 in hits, or the top 200 in takeaways or blocked shots. So, if he never helps his team regain possession of the puck, and hardly stops pucks from reaching the net, he's not doing a whole lot defensively. Positioning only counts for so much if you don't do anything with your positioning. And again, it's not about "who scores more". It's about combined offense and defensive ability to be complete player

  • @kdfsjljklgjfg no he does do all those things. whoever has the idea that crosby is a floater either doesnt watch hockey or is an idiot. one of the analysts called crosby "the king of grinders" because he plays like a grinder but has a ton of skill to go along with it. i always laugh at the takeaway stat. you can only get a takeaway WHEN THE OTHER TEAM HAS THE PUCK. crosby is too busy controlling the puck to lead the league in that stat. and the hitting stat has nothin to do with def positioning

  • @zachichu The primary aspects of defense are preventing the opposition from getting pucks on net so as to prevent them from scoring, and to regain possession of the puck so as to begin your own scoring chances. If he doesn't get takeaways, he's not turning the puck over himself, and if he's not getting hits, he's not knocking the opposing players off the puck for his teammates to get it, meaning he's very bad at that aspect of defense. Crosby would've also been 44th in giveaways.

  • @zachichu (2nd post) Detroit's style of game is based ENTIRELY around puck possession. Datsyuk still would've been 2nd in the league in takeaways, and if Crosby had as much skill in it as you make him out to have, he would've broken the top 100 regardless. He didn't even make the top 200. Datsyuk hasn't won a Hart or Art Ross because defensive play is much less flashy than high scorers, and is less noticed. He wholly has the talent to do so if he wasn't focused on the TEAM SYSTEM.

  • @kdfsjljklgjfg crosby has won the lester b pearson award (voted as the leagues best player by other nhl players) datsyuk never has. last year crosby was voted as the hardest player to play against and smartest player by his peers. not datsyuk... i think they would know more about hockey than you...datsyuk is a great defensive player. if you want to say he has the most well rounded game, thats fair. but that doesnt make him a better hockey player

  • @kdfsjljklgjfg and enough with the hitting and blocked shots stats.... craig adams leads the pens in blocked shots and has more hits than jordan staal (yet staal is the one that was nominated for a selke)...does that mean hes better defensively than staal. no, its not even close

  • @zachichu There are multiple reasons for Staal's nomination over Adams. First, had Staal played an entire season, he would've finished with close to twice Adams' number of takeaways. Second, Adams is wholly a grinder. His hits are less based on taking opponents off the puck, and more on wearing them down and getting them tired over the course of the game. Third, the Selke isn't 100% about defensive play. It's about best all around play. Playing defense while maintaining a high level of offense.

  • @kdfsjljklgjfg adams did play the whole season. healthy scratch. he still led the team in blocks and had more hits than staal. showing you those stats dont mean youre playing good defense. if a team has a lot of blocked shots in the game, it usually means the other team had a lot of shot attempts. thats not good. and you said hits "knock the player off the puck." the majority of hits come after the player has already passed it, sometimes even leaving you out of defensive position

  • @zachichu Again, Adams' hits were based more around wear & tear than defense. He's a pure grinder, nothing else, meaning his primary job is to tire out the opposing team with gritty play. Meaning, it's not as big of a deal if he takes himself out of defensive positioning for it, as his job is not to be a shutdown player. His hits are less relevant statistically when you read into them a little more, and blocked shots alone with no other semblance of defensive skill don't mean much.

  • @kdfsjljklgjfg "The Frank J. Selke Trophy is awarded annually to the National Hockey League forward who demonstrates the most skill in the defensive component of the game"...where does it say maintain offense at?? dont make things up. best all around play? so kris draper was the best all around player before? john madden too?? hahahaha...and you still never answered about crosby being voted the best player by his peers before and datsyuk not

  • @zachichu It's not stated on the award, but that's how it's voted nowadays with the emergence of two way forwards who can still score. It's why you rarely see low point scorers get nominated anymore. The Hart is a similar thing. It's supposed to be for the player who was most important to his team, but it's treated as a strictly MVP award, which is actually what the Lester Pearson (now Ted Lindsay) award is for.

  • @zachichu (2nd post) Additionally, let's figure some more stats. In 08-09, Datsyuk averaged 19:13 of ice time per game. That factore out to about 1556:30 played over the full season. With 97 points, he averaged about .0623 points per minute on ice. Crosby averaged 21:57 on ice. With 103 points, it comes out at just about .0608 points per minute. In 08-09, not only was Datsyuk MILES ahead of Crosby defensively, but he actually scored MORE than him too. He was FAR better that year.

  • @kdfsjljklgjfg far better that season? hahah datsyuk had marian hossa that year and crosbys top winger was pascal dupuis. id like to think if you switch those wingers, the points per minute would sway a little. okay a lot. use your brain, man. look at the career points per minute and crosby blows him out of the water, and the only legitimate first line winger crosbys ever had was hossa and that was for 20 games. datsyuk has had all stars and future hall of famers on his

  • @zachichu The only one was Hossa? What about when Malkin played LW? Or when Crosby had Guerin? Or maybe Sykora and Kunitz (who scored nearly a PPG to close out the season) that particular year? Crosby fans like to think that he's never had a good linemate, when he's had quite a few. And again, when you factor Datsyuk's defensive play in, he prevents enough goals that, when combined with goals he creates, the differential is much more favorable than Crosby's.

  • @kdfsjljklgjfg im beginning to think you dont watch hockey. malkin played about 1/3 of a season with crosby one year. guerin? seriously? he was 39 years old when he joined the pens and played 19 games with them. sykora? no, he played on malkin's line with malone. kunitz that year? he was traded at the trade deadline to them too, which meant he played about twenty games for the pens that year. the first ten or so, being on staals left wing. not crosbys...keep trying to find a decent winger

  • @zachichu Guerin played 78 games with Pittsburgh in 09-10. And you're jumping to the conclusion that Hossa was definitely on Datsyuk's wing when he consistently split time with Datsyuk and Zetterberg. If that counts, then we're counting all of those other guys for Crosby. Datsyuk has spent most of his time with Franzen and Holmstrom. Franzen is horribly streaky and isn't one to set people up, and Holmstrom has been a near-useless PP specialist for years now.

  • @kdfsjljklgjfg bill guerin. a 39 year old, washed up, bill guerin? i dont even think he was on the islanders top line when they traded for him. just because a player was good 10 years ago doesnt mean they still are. and youre trying to downplay franzen and holmstrom. hahahaha. say whatever you want about those two, theyre still better than any other winger crosbys ever played with (other than hossa for a handful of games)

  • i take that back, i forgot he played with ziggy palffy his rookie year until he retired midseason. he was still a solid winger

  • @ShowBusiness90 I think the same... Datsyuk is a team player, not like crosby or ovechkin.

  • @TheKarhuolut3

Crosby isn't a team player huh? I can't speak for Ovechkin. I know he takes a lot of shots, but there's plenty of bias coming from rival fans, so I would be speaking out of bias and assumption. I don't get to watch many Caps games. I do know for a fact Datsyuk is a team player and I respect him plenty. However, it's not my bias that Crosby is the definition of a team player. I know this for a fact. If you wanna point out a flaw in Crosby or any player, please do so accurately.

  • @TheGrandArgument FUCK YOU ?

  • @TheKarhuolut3

Ahh, you're just a troll. Never mind.

  • @ShowBusiness90 I love you. You just summed up everything I have been trying to say for years

  • @ShowBusiness90 spoken like a true Detroit fan. Datsyuks is a sick all around player but anyone would take Crosby over Datsyuk every day of the week. Datsyuks advantage over Sid defensively is not nearly has big as Sids advantage offensively. Also Sid is 24 Datsyuks is 31, wait til Sid actually reaches his prime, it's gonna be scary for us non Pens fans
