Add your snow scene to a new layer underneath the one of the girl after that..play around with the size of your background rather than scaling the girl. When you get the pic of the girl to the position you want..layer merge down, then grab your rectangle select tool and trim your photo with that. While still selected, go to image..crop to selection. :) Great tutorial..awesome work! Keep it up..I would have loved this stuff in high school in the 80's!

I love this..however, you can save yourself "tons" of work when you cut her out and when you remove the excess background from your snow scene. Use the free select tool to cut her out and go to select "feather" to about 3 (depending on photo pixel capacity..work with that until it looks right). Then go to layer..add alpha chanel, select..invert, cut. Wha-la! (More on separate comment..)

I think an important thing is the colours of both images. The girls has too bright colours, it looks faked as on a real photo with that background, I'd never expect such bright colours!
