Thats was an excellent video!! Well done. Just one observation: never put yourself down!!! This work is from a guenius!!! Thanks from New Zealand - Aotearoa!! land of the Ta Moko Maori designs.
i were in marrakech and henna was mixted only whit water, and saometimes it produces allergy because someones use turpentine or something like that i don't remember.
Wow.. datsz really cool!! omidaizz mahn your likee awsome mahn like totally cool,. Looll .. im jwkn no really your good but i mean the design couldve been improved.. cuz i noe how to .. cuz ive dne it before.. part as tradition i think ur on eif realli nice!!!
@lilm4lyf Oh, okay. Sure, I get you now. I agree, it could be more developed. Anything gets more developed when you plan it out before hand and have a chance to work out all the kinks but I was making all the details of this design up as I went along. So maybe it was a little simple compared to some, but I feel like as long as doing henna is relaxing and fun then that's most of what matters. : ) What I like about henna is just letting it flow and doing whatever without a constrained plan.
@Ahoy4393 Thanks! I've made a few tattoos off and on for a few years but I don't do it often. Nobody really taught me, but something I found useful was getting a little book of designs and reflecting on them and taking time making simple stripes and chevron and swirl shapes over and over. The more you practice the simple lines and getting the spacing right, the better it will be when you start tattooing. I hear you can practice with toothpaste, though I've never tried it.
@nicolemaryam I don't, but I think the way you make cake icing cones are the same. Maybe you could find a video on it on YouTube already if you search for that?
This is really cool and very informative but i wouldnt want a peacock on my hand. Im going to look in your playlist for something extremely simple looking and easey to apply. You have an awesome talent, Im going to sub.
I am planning on doing Henna for a project of mine, but I am not all to sure on sites where I can buy henna of top quality. there isn't a very high population that uses good henna near me, so I have to buy it online. Have any sites I could visit? I check the one in the description, but I guess the site isn't there anymore since it popped up as an error
Incredible! I saw another video on how to mix the henna but you look like you know what your doing so I'm going to take your advice instead, thankyou :)
Your henna is wonderful!!! ..And I laughed throughout your video, you sound like me kinda! XD I have always loved henna, as you can tell by the sn, and Ive been wanting to start doing my own tattoos at a local farmer's market. About how much does it cost you to buy a set-up; the henna, lemon juice, etc.. and can I use a cake icing sleeve with a small nozzle?
Hm, it's hard to say because I'm terrible with finances. I just kinda buy stuff and forget how much I've paid. Plus I've been doing henna off and on for 5+ years and so I have a lot of old supplies I can draw on. The good news is that a little henna goes a long way and a 30$ or less kit of supplies could do quite a few applications. Certainly more than enough to make your money back and order more.
I really encourage you to do the market! It's so fun and relaxing! I'd like to see your work too!
wow. you are really good at the free hand henna art. i have been looking for about 2 weeks in my area and my vacation area. but i cannot find any stores that sell henna powder and cones and such and i do not want to buy off internet.. any ideas? i live in south carolina too..
Unfortunately, I don't have many ideas for how you could get some in your area without using the mail. Depending on your reason for not ordering on the net, could you ask a friend to order it for you if you pay? Or suggest it's what you want for a birthday or gift-giving holiday?
Henna, as far as I know, is typically grown and prepared outside of the US so if a local store doesn't carry it, you would need to order it somehow.
Well, all due respect to your mom, but whose wedding is it? YOURS or hers? I was just recording some more footage for my 3D nails today and I hope to finally put a video up this week. I just need to edit now.
I wore henna at my cousin's wedding as her matron of honor, but I asked her if she was okay with it first. But since YOU are the bride, then it should be up to you, right? I mean, not like being a bride means someone would be snotty, but you really should do what you want for your look!
Personally, I think that henna and 3D nails would be awesome at a wedding, particularly if it's what you want. Express yourself how you like and you'll look fabulous. There's actually also instructions on YouTube and The Henna Page for how to do glitter henna designs so you could tie in henna patterns with pretty 3D nails and it'd probably look totally stunning and otherworldly!
All very beautiful ,,,,Is any one can tell me how to make liquide henna which we use to put on Eid with Bangles shops, with wooden blocks designe I want to know if some one can tell me that recipes of that blooks mixtures..please (How to make Henna Ink for Woodend Blocks)
That depends. From what I understand, some henna hair dyes are made of of a variety of ingredients. Henna for the body and the most ideal henna for the hair is nothing but JUST henna plant. The same body grade henna that you would use on your body for this kind of work, you would use in your hair, yes. But if you get a box of "henna hair dye" at the grocery store or something, then no, that's NOT something you would put on your body for henna designs. I hope that makes sense <3
It's in the video description. :) I was a really weird kid. White Zombie was my favorite group when I was a wee tyke and this is still one of my favorite songs from the Astro Creep album.
I'm sorry, if you don't want to order it online, I don't know what to tell you. If you don't have a high Indian or henna-using population in your area, you're probably unlikely to find any henna of quality in a store. Most henna pastes I find in stores are just awful. You really want a high quality powder. Online, or having someone else buy it online for you, is the best option.
i |||||| tid so amazing u can do dat im still learnin tho im jus a kid tho soo im not as good any way ive got a request its show the pattern wen it ready n stained oh yh if u want a more dark colourput oil over it the one u put in paste trust me it works n its soo nie to get henna done
I learned when I was young though, so it's no big deal. :) Just keep with it. That's a good tip. I usually use a lemonjuice mix with sweet in. It's a bit sticky, but helps keep it pliable.
that was amazing. you made it look really easy, its all to do with creativity. thanx i will try out on my little girl as she will not mind my mistakes!!!!!!!!
Heh heh... Children make exxxxcellent test beings! Actually I thought it was so cute, children always want tattoos when I do them at faires and such. All the little boys want flaming snakes and skull dragons. XD I think it's something kids really love to try to do themselves as well. One of the best things to practice with (besides willing subjects) is sketching to get familiar with different shapes you like to make. Also, you can practice with toothpaste! n.n
Oh, heehee. n.n The nail art one... Well, I have all the video for it, but I just felt like it was filmed too far away and I should take more "up close" shots and then never got around to it... I really should though. Maybe I can start in the next day or two. <33 Thanks for reminding me.
This is an awesome tutorial. You're design is great, I like to place it on the hands of my two daughters, if you dont mind. Hope you will post more designs
Please, go right ahead. I bet it will be awesome! n.n
Sure, perhaps I can post some more. Sometimes it's hard for me to find the time to do henna though, so I was thinking I might just post some henna patterns online for download rather than making new videos. Would that interest you? If so, let me know and I can message you when I get around to it and make them available.
It says in the video at 5.20 that it can last up to a few weeks. The video contains a lot of information if you watch it all the way through. There's much more that can be said on the topic however, and I refer you to The Henna Page. You can find the link in the video description. Thank you for watching--
I listed the place I bought my henna from in the video description. I always include important links or information that may be of interest in the side there. Thank you!
It's an essence of a plant (as the general definition.) It's an extraction which has a strong scent and carries hormonal properties of its original source. When you hear about aromatherapy, the scents involved generally come from essential oils. Tea Tree oil comes from the Melaleuca tree, I believe.
I hope that helps. Try searching online to learn more. :)
Oh my god. You are NOT a dorky looser! You're art work is so amazing! I love the way you put together all you're videos and the way how you don't talk but put subtitles instead with all the kawaii smileys and...and...
Just be sure of its origins. I've come across some dubious looking tubes of stuff and at best, they just don't stain at all and at worst, they could be pumped full of more garbage than Kentucky Fried Chicken.
It might have been a good idea to show after it started to darken. Perhaps next time! n...n
As for the drops, I'm sorry, I didn't have a dropper bottle. I measured. It'll be quite easy to find the number of drops on any site that discusses mixing. Everyone does it a little differently. <3
I would so give this a shot but i wouldnt have the patience xD! BTW I used the clay to make the cerberus heads for my vincent valentine gun,, they turned out really cool but didnt fit the gun so I got a drying clay so I could mold it better to the gun for size and all and that worked good to x3
I would totally get that all over the pretty tablecloth if I were doing it. Oh, THAT's a carrot bag (duh)! Whoa, that turned out amazing! (Both of them!)
I -have- messed them up before where I'm just doing my thing and then I smear it all over something. XD I have to remind myself not to be absentminded when I do henna.
It's not too bad, actually! You can try printing off some basic patterns and tracing them. A lot of what makes these designs look special is the detailing, but the details are often just straight or curved lines. The patterns look more complicated than they really are. <3 I think you should dive right in, lovee!
Well, I live at home so I think my mom would have a hard time with me having something like that in the house that I'd end up spilling or whatever, lol! And then my grandmother would think it was dangerous to have on my skin.
You know, it's weird- I was checking out your channel and one of your favorites was using he exact same song I almost used on this henna video. It's just an obscure bit of music too. It was kinda of funny. XD <3 I heard it playing while this video was still running and I was thinking "Wait, I didn't actually end up using that song... did I...?"
Oh, yay! <3 I hope you'll give it a try now. If you order a kit, everything you'd use is in there, except the lemon juice and bowls and such. You can even get body grade adhesive and really fine glitter at a lot of henna sites. I was gifted a set and I've been meaning to try it. I think it would be fun to do some soft white and pink princess style decor over the hands and wrists in all glitter. <3
XD I look like a person. I have blue eyes, a nose, some skin, some hair that needs a haircut and I think I have eyebrows and stuff. Last time I looked, anyway.
I don't have any plans to show my face on video, but it's not like my face is a big secret. C'mon. This is the -internet-. How hard would it be for you to find me somewhere else and see an avatar or something? .... Never mind, don't answer that. That's scary. XDDD
LoL, you have a comical personality in the way you write :D. Nice video though. I never knew what henna was until now. (I stumbled on here while searching for wheatgrass juicing. hehe)
heh- thanks. I'm sure you're plenty awesome as well. So you're gunna get into some wheatgrass? I <33 the stuff. Hopefully you'll try those green smoothies too. It's great stuff. n...n
great video! are you on the henna page forums? if not, is it alright if i cross-link this over there? i think there are many over there who will appreciate this :) it's such a breath of fresh air in between all of the crap videos that we find with people being maimed by "death slingers".
"Death slingers", whaaat? XDD I have NO idea what that is.
No, I'm not on the henna page forums. ;...; I get all intimidated! You're welcome to cross link it. I really mean to stop by some time...! I just haven't. Like I said... intimidated. u...u;;
lol. "death slinger" is what i like to call people who use "black henna" (ppd)
you know, the stuff that people come back from south beach with; a nice tan and what looks like a third degree burn in the shape of a dolphin above their ass... ;) and don't even get me started on all the other complications...
and for anyone else reading this comment: chemicals of any kind do not belong in henna. henna is naturally varying shades of brown. NEVER BLACK.
Ohhh! Right, right, right. You know- I came across a website selling 'colors' of henna and quickly shot them off an informational, polite e-mail warning them in case they didn't know. No reply. x...x figures! XD
Right on. <33 Thanks for watching, Lizanne <3 I've seen your comments here and there. I think it's really awesome you keep commenting. It perks me right up!
You're awesome!!! I miss talking to you. <33 How are the boards goin'? <33 (I replied earlier, but I don't think it 'went', so if there's a double post now, forgive me! n...n;;)
The boards are GREAT. We now have monthly "Project ThreadBanger" challenges that I seriously think you'd get a hoot out of. A bigger and a smaller challenge. Fun stuff. Hope you're well, happy n healthy!
That -does- sound cool, actually... Maybe once I get stuff settled here, it'd be a lot of fun to stop by and see what's going on with it all. <3 Thanks for telling me!
Wow, that was pretty sweet watching you put the henna on in all like.. fast motion and what not. <.< Turned out real neato. I got a henna design at Ozzfest but the lady didn't tell me anything about it, so I wound up brushing the flakes off early and it got ruined. u...u
D: HOMG. Lame. XD My first henna I really wanted on my chest up by my collar bone and tried to take extra good care of it. She warned it it wouldn't stain well, but I was determined. ... It didn't even last a day on me. XD
BTW, -you're- pretty sweet in fast motion and what not. XD omg.
I subscribed before even watching the vid! The music amused me that much ^_^

develishsmile 3 years ago
It says in the video at 5.20 that it can last up to a few weeks. The video contains a lot of information if you watch it all the way through. There's much more that can be said on the topic however, and I refer you to The Henna Page. You can find the link in the video description. Thank you for watching--

and cute ring
uhnitisha 3 years ago
Thank you so much! It's my wedding ring. : )
I listed the place I bought my henna from in the video description. I always include important links or information that may be of interest in the side there. Thank you!

what is essencial oil ???
Ar2rock 3 years ago
It's an essence of a plant (as the general definition.) It's an extraction which has a strong scent and carries hormonal properties of its original source. When you hear about aromatherapy, the scents involved generally come from essential oils. Tea Tree oil comes from the Melaleuca tree, I believe.
I hope that helps. Try searching online to learn more. :)

Oh my god. You are NOT a dorky looser! You're art work is so amazing! I love the way you put together all you're videos and the way how you don't talk but put subtitles instead with all the kawaii smileys and...and...
In short - you're awesome :P Don't EVER change!
thecharlotteness 3 years ago
Uh oh, now I worry I can't talk in videos!
XD Thank you very much! : D
meandrousart 3 years ago
Don't worry about it! I like it when you talk too ^^
thecharlotteness 3 years ago
Um... oh yeah? Want me to use my silky smooth tones on you? XDDDD
meandrousart 3 years ago
lol :P

Beautiful design (and result). Henna has always been something I have wanted to try and I just might here in the near future.
Thanks so much for sharing!
Dragontrap 3 years ago
You're an incredible artist- I'm sure when you try henna, it will look amazing!
meandrousart 3 years ago
Thank you and I think I might pick up a tube of henna from a local shop I frequent which carries it.
Dragontrap 3 years ago
Just be sure of its origins. I've come across some dubious looking tubes of stuff and at best, they just don't stain at all and at worst, they could be pumped full of more garbage than Kentucky Fried Chicken.
meandrousart 3 years ago
pity you didn t show us the stain after two days, 1 ml how many drops is that aprox?
majawow 3 years ago
It might have been a good idea to show after it started to darken. Perhaps next time! n...n
As for the drops, I'm sorry, I didn't have a dropper bottle. I measured. It'll be quite easy to find the number of drops on any site that discusses mixing. Everyone does it a little differently. <3
meandrousart 3 years ago
this video is great, thanks
majawow 3 years ago
You're welcome! And thank you for the compliment. <3

I would so give this a shot but i wouldnt have the patience xD! BTW I used the clay to make the cerberus heads for my vincent valentine gun,, they turned out really cool but didnt fit the gun so I got a drying clay so I could mold it better to the gun for size and all and that worked good to x3
Brokenache 3 years ago
Ooooh... right on! That's great that you found something to work for you. I hope you'll show me your work. n...n!
meandrousart 3 years ago
(;...; I said work twice.)
meandrousart 3 years ago
I would totally get that all over the pretty tablecloth if I were doing it. Oh, THAT's a carrot bag (duh)! Whoa, that turned out amazing! (Both of them!)
OckGal 3 years ago
Nah, you'd do fine! <3 Thank you, too. <3
I -have- messed them up before where I'm just doing my thing and then I smear it all over something. XD I have to remind myself not to be absentminded when I do henna.
meandrousart 3 years ago
I should probably learn to draw/paint better first, lol!
OckGal 3 years ago
It's not too bad, actually! You can try printing off some basic patterns and tracing them. A lot of what makes these designs look special is the detailing, but the details are often just straight or curved lines. The patterns look more complicated than they really are. <3 I think you should dive right in, lovee!
meandrousart 3 years ago
Well, I live at home so I think my mom would have a hard time with me having something like that in the house that I'd end up spilling or whatever, lol! And then my grandmother would think it was dangerous to have on my skin.
EdwardHerrmann101 3 years ago
OMG!
Your pattern rocks!
I love it! Keep up the good work girl!
Kribasoft 4 years ago
Yay! Thank you!
You know, it's weird- I was checking out your channel and one of your favorites was using he exact same song I almost used on this henna video. It's just an obscure bit of music too. It was kinda of funny. XD <3 I heard it playing while this video was still running and I was thinking "Wait, I didn't actually end up using that song... did I...?"
meandrousart 3 years ago
yay, a new tutorial! I always wanted to try henna body art, it's so pretty!
PrincessSushii 4 years ago
meandrousart 4 years ago
*_* Glitter.... sounds awesome! :D Thanks a lot for the tutorial and all <333
PrincessSushii 4 years ago
When will we get to see what you look like? =)
MatteBIack 4 years ago
XD I look like a person. I have blue eyes, a nose, some skin, some hair that needs a haircut and I think I have eyebrows and stuff. Last time I looked, anyway.
I don't have any plans to show my face on video, but it's not like my face is a big secret. C'mon. This is the -internet-. How hard would it be for you to find me somewhere else and see an avatar or something? .... Never mind, don't answer that. That's scary. XDDD
meandrousart 4 years ago
LoL, you have a comical personality in the way you write :D. Nice video though. I never knew what henna was until now. (I stumbled on here while searching for wheatgrass juicing. hehe)
MatteBIack 4 years ago
heh- thanks. I'm sure you're plenty awesome as well. So you're gunna get into some wheatgrass? I <33 the stuff. Hopefully you'll try those green smoothies too. It's great stuff. n...n

great video! are you on the henna page forums? if not, is it alright if i cross-link this over there? i think there are many over there who will appreciate this :) it's such a breath of fresh air in between all of the crap videos that we find with people being maimed by "death slingers".
insidethemusicbox11 4 years ago
"Death slingers", whaaat? XDD I have NO idea what that is.
No, I'm not on the henna page forums. ;...; I get all intimidated! You're welcome to cross link it. I really mean to stop by some time...! I just haven't. Like I said... intimidated. u...u;;
meandrousart 4 years ago
NEVER BLACK.
insidethemusicbox11 4 years ago
Ohhh! Right, right, right. You know- I came across a website selling 'colors' of henna and quickly shot them off an informational, polite e-mail warning them in case they didn't know. No reply. x...x figures! XD

awesome thank ^^

You're awesome!!! I miss talking to you. <33 How are the boards goin'? <33 (I replied earlier, but I don't think it 'went', so if there's a double post now, forgive me! n...n;;)
meandrousart 4 years ago
The boards are GREAT. We now have monthly "Project ThreadBanger" challenges that I seriously think you'd get a hoot out of. A bigger and a smaller challenge. Fun stuff. Hope you're well, happy n healthy!
hoofer1 4 years ago
That -does- sound cool, actually... Maybe once I get stuff settled here, it'd be a lot of fun to stop by and see what's going on with it all. <3 Thanks for telling me!
meandrousart 3 years ago
OMG. That was AWESOME. Thanks, doll. I'm gonna try this one :) <3
instantk4rma 4 years ago
Wow, that was pretty sweet watching you put the henna on in all like.. fast motion and what not. <.< Turned out real neato. I got a henna design at Ozzfest but the lady didn't tell me anything about it, so I wound up brushing the flakes off early and it got ruined. u...u
m00sh 4 years ago
D: HOMG. Lame. XD My first henna I really wanted on my chest up by my collar bone and tried to take extra good care of it. She warned it it wouldn't stain well, but I was determined. ... It didn't even last a day on me. XD
BTW, -you're- pretty sweet in fast motion and what not. XD omg.
