Dude....Maybe he went up the tree because you like took your camera and chased him all over the hood? BTW, black bears do occasionally attack ppl. If you don't believe me, just ask the guy who got his face ripped off by one.
I live next to the ocala national forest and have a decent bear population. Once or twice a year youngsters like the one in your video have been kicked out by momma and are out searching for their own territory. I have had one take up residency here. We know each other but I still sing loudly when I leave the fenced yard after dark. Bears are decent neighbors if you know how to behave towards them. My fear is too many people moving in and demanding bear removal.
