Great that the Gallic-Celtic chieftain title of Brennos (there were two main ones a century apart) is remembered the twin voices harmonize well yet a Brythonic Boudicca would sound far more angry going by history !
I actually think it is more Arabic, I mean it looks like the man is singing "Al-Khalid Al-lodobe, Al-Khalida, Al-lododobe Ahalal hestni burni" it is probaly not Arabic, but it is what I hear
Argh, why is Civilization V so disappointing? I mean the combat system is probably a step-up, but everything else has been dumbed down that the only viable option for victory is to crush everyone else.
@Wintericecrystal I believe it is a song I learned in Gaelic class, although the dialect is different, so I am not completely sure. It is about a guy who goes off sailing intothe sea.
There were three major types of europeans in the olden days, Hellenic people, Celtic people, and Germanic people. They later got mixed pretty heavily. The Germanic people remain distinct in the most places, while you're almost never going to find an pure hellene anymore. Celts are somewhere in the middle. I myself am descended from the Germanic Saxons and Vikings, with a little bit of interbeeding with the local celts in Britannia. :<
@HiveFleetHydra Well it's not just Hellene, Celts, and Germanics that are the major groups. Eventually there was later Slavs and Latins. For example, most Russians are Germanic and Slavic because of Viking settlement in Russia.
@samoanfun11 whenever i played this game and listened to this music, i always imagined the celts sitting in some ancient tavern drinking ale around a fire and listening to this music being played.... that and rolling green hills
I love having the Celts as an ally in my games. If you help them technologically, they actually get quite dangerous. They are only non-threatening because of how slow they develop in the technological area.
The celts are okay but not my favorite. they mabye 3 or 4 fav. My favorites are Viking, Dutch, Ruusain, Japanese, then Celts, or British but i love the song.
@Imhornydadcomeinside there still is pleanty in Ireland and in some parts they still speak the language. All sighns and speakers are in English and Irish. There are pleanty of ruins in Ireland and more. It is still active to an extent it is tring to be revived.
Hi! I want to thank you for sharing this amazing track and I ask if you can post the complete song in the near future; I really enjoy it and it's sad to hear it end so abruptly. That said, thanks again. I'll check often your channel for good music. Bye :-)

It sounds as if the man is singing in Irish (Gaelic) but the woman is singing in Welsh. I could be wrong though.

@teh117
It's not an actual song - rather a construct by musicians employed by the game creator, like all of the other cultures' songs.

My style is always playing with Boudica cause she has Aggresive and Charismatic traits
With her I can effieciently give 3 promotions to units with combat in the endgame-
Heres how it works:
Barracks(3xp)+Vassalage and Theocracy civics(2xp apiece)+Pentagon wonder(2xp in all cities)
Each promotion is at 2xp,4xp, and at 8xp.

I love "Celtia" and the Music (Being Welsh). Please, Anyone know what the words from this song mean?
.*The Celts* didn't live in the British Isles, just their culture through trade. (This proven through the R1b gene in my/others DNA).
.They used the word Celtia from Celtae.
Bibracte was somewhere in Modern Day France where lived the tribe of Aedui, as I believe?
Thankyou GigaNerd17 for putting these music videos on here. Much appreciated! ;),
Diolch yn fawr.

If you are Irish, French, or British, there's a massive chance that you have Celtic blood.

Don't forget Spanish and Portuguese.

Of course, the spanish have influence from the aquitaines, and the portuguese from lusitanian and vettonian tribes.

Well, i was mostly referring that those areas was the most Celtic influenced, rather than all areas affected by Celts

I would have thought Welsh would be the most likely candidate, followed by Irish.

In the game, the song loops. That's why it sounds "incomplete."
GigaNerd17 2 years ago
For some reason, I generally wind up crushing the Celts at some point in the game before the Renaissance.
I don't know why: they usually never even pose a threat or annoyance to me, and are usually not very annoyed at me in turn.

How do you know that, what language is it, because there are loads of types of Celtic languages e.g Gallician, Welsh, Breton, Gaellic, etc

It's easily understandable through welsh, aparantly the words are similar.

Galician is actually very similar to Portuguese, and may even be a dialect of Portuguese.
Just nitpicking.
