  • Why is everyone so mean to Pat? Remember that he was just a young boy being thrust into the hysteria that was the ROLLERS!!! I think he was just terrified his first few times out, nothing more and certainly not bored!!! I also think that the boys are beyond exhausted here, and it WASN'T PAT that brought the ROLLERS down, the blame started and ended with TAM. Pat is a sweet boy & it bothers me that he's taking the brunt of the blame.

  • Clearly, the rot had already set in. Pat McGlynn! Need I say more...

  • omg one look at eric and hes saying get your knickers off girl what a dish x

  • The British Glam Rock period at it's best

  • They definately showed far too much of Les in these video clips. And Pat looks like a deer in the headlights. I remember seeing him in concert and I was in the front row and he looked straight at me. It was a big thing back then.

  • When Eric closes his eyes it's so lovely, long eyelashes.

  • The Oh So Beautiful Eric Faulkner......*sigh*........

  • These were hottest guys around when I was a teenager. I love all these videos!

  • Eric is and always be the sexiest in my opinion!!

  • @KellieHorn13 AGREE

  • Damn, i miss these guys! Where r they now....they need to do a comeback tour!

  • @foxyhare2001 I so agree and they need to do it in the Reno Or Las Vegas area. Duncan is in Vegas.

  • I was lost with the mentions of a pat and an ian!so googled and they didn't join the original 5 until 1983,no wonder I didn't know who they were lol I loved woody

  • Ian replaced Alan in 76 and then was replaced by Pat 8 months later then left and there were 4 Rollers. Alan came back in 78. When they held a reunion in 83 Ian and Pat played with the other 5.

  • I got the chance to see Ian in person with his group aka The Bay City Rollers in 2006. He sang all the hits. It was a great show.

  • brilliant true teen stars

  • Les, is so cute. I love all their music it brings back memories of running to the store to buy Teen Beat mag. to see them in it. Those were the good old days!

  • But Im cutier than Les.

  • @MB412 lets see you then

  • So love that song....Les sings it so right.....Poor Pat...he looks terrified or disturbed by something.......I read about what Tam did to Les and Pat and perhaps others........very sad indeed....

  • love woody

  • this looks like aussie 76 Oh Eric dont do that with your eyes. Love is blind

  • No, it's The Arrows Show, Manchester England, Yes, 1976.

  • poor old pat looks terrified!

  • They played rock & roller from dedication on supersonic about the same time.

  • This was never a single in the UK. Maybe they were going to, but changed their minds..things were beginning to slow down around this point-they were concentrating on America...Great song anyway, from 'Dedication'- my fave Rollers LP.

  • I love this song! This and, to a greater degree, "Yesterday's Hero" and "Rock'n'Roller" made "Dedication" my third fave BAY CITY ROLLERS' album. "Wouldn't You Like It" is my second fave BCR album because "Money Honey" is my fave BCR song. And their first US LP "BAY CITY ROLLERS" is my #1 fave because of "Saturyday Night" and all of their British hits on it. If I had to pick only one CD, "The Definitive Collection" would be my fave. (Is this TMI?) Thanks for the post. ROLLERS FOREVER!!!

  • 'Dedication' is so wonderful-i still play it all the time. Followed by 'Its a game' & 'Wouldn't you like it'. My fave single is 'I only wanna be with you', then 'Bye Bye Baby' & 'Saturday Night'.

  • Pat looks terrified!

  • I just love leslie...oooh sooo hot and still is after all this time...all of me loves all of him

  • I love Leslie too. The way he sways to the music is sooooo sexy.

  • I read at one concert Eric got his pants ripped off and Woody was knocked unconscious. I'd be scared too performing in front of young hormone-crazed girls...LOL!

  • This was a single? I don't remember this in the UK...

  • pat looks really scared!!

  • Actually the girls look quite tame compared to some vids I've seen. I was reading part of a book "Bay City Babylon" and it mentions at one concert Eric got his pants ripped off and Woody got knocked unconscious. I'd be scared too with all those young hormone crazed girls.

  • Re:paticles1-Soooooo young too! The other Rollers look so grown up next to him!

  • Leslie, luv the way you sway to the music.1:28.

  • i agree. Imagine him swaying with those hip in the dance floor...in in ze boudoir-mmmmmmmmmmm.Luv Les!

  • omg.loved this when i was a young girl still do even now...have thison my i-pod soon..leslie and ian were my favs!

  • oh, man. seht euch les an. für diesen mann wird ich auf die knie gehen.

  • Remember the good ol days when the Rollers and Kiss would appear on the cover of 16 Magazine?

  • Leslie still looks good and has aged well.

  • Does anyone remember the pullout poster of Pat from Tiger Beat or maybe Teen Beat mag? It featured a nude him (or at least simulated nude) with a very long and very wide tartan scarf covering important body parts.

I had this on my bedroom wall until my Puritan grandpa walked in and saw it! LOL-it was taken down immediately.

Thanks to everyone who posts these vids on BCR-couldn't get enough in the 70s and still loving them thirty years + later!

  • Wasn't that a photo of Woody????

  • there was one of woody standing up starkers all but for a long long yellow tartan scarf

  • yeah, i had that poster hanging right over my door-where nobody else could see it!! my dad would've ripped it down if he'd ever seen it, but since my room was in the basement, he never did! there was one like it of woody, but i never saw it!

  • I know now why I used to fancy Les so much.. he oozes sexual charisma. Is he still like that? lol

  • yes. 'o)

  • I was too little then but that guy Pat is such a cutie-I wish I was his age in that year and knew him oh yes that would b so nice-go back in time

  • Miss Witchiepoo, Les has been happily married for the last 25 years.

  • Pat gets a lot of camera time here, like Ian Mitchell did before. That's why they both got the boot.

  • people need to back up off Les unless you know him personally you don't know anything about him. So if you are actually a true fan you will quit lying about one of the sweetest men in the world!!!!!!!!

  • hang on a minute. did I just see Marc Bolan introduce the Rollers

  • No, that was Terry Taylor of The Arrows. Terry now plays with Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings.

  • nice hairstyle on les and eric...

  • What is October Road?

  • big roller fan have been for years saw them in to at the c n e back in 1977 great show it brings back so many memorys of my child heard keep it up it's great

  • one of the best songs from this band, cool to see the video

  • Ever wonder which one of these guys you'd actually be compatible with(AND I'M TALKING PERSONALITY WISE)Lol. I'm starting to read up more about these guys. I'm admiring Derek and his accomplishments. Wow.

  • Well for me it was and still is Eric... Just can't change the lady's mind lol! :)

  • I'm with you Rollersagain! Sounds like Eric will be our fave forever :-D

  • Eric is so beautiful!

  • I'm with you Rollersagain! Sounds like Eric will be our fave forever :-D

  • Les has such an amazing butt in those white pants. I loved this song.

I met Les in 1994.. performing in Toronto.

His wife and son were nice.

I Still Love Leslie Richard McKeown.

  • i agree with the butt part!

  • i agree with the butt part!

  • i love him all, not just but.

  • There was nothing gay about the Rollers... Everybody needs friends, and I bet it was easier for them to have "guy" friends than "lady" friends in the 70's. I'm loving these videos... they take me WAY back... Thankyou KeithTheKing! Keep on Rollin' Roller Fans!

  • Les NEVER had a boyfriend,if he had, don't you think everyone would have knew!

  • Thank you BAYCITYROLLERBOY!! we would of known about his "so-called Boyfriend"

  • Huge 70s pop phenomenon!

  • Arrows guitarist Terry Taylor who introduced this clip is now with Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings band.

  • glad to see that i'm not the only one who liked the rollers

  • You are quite right about him being married now. But Les still had a boyfriend in the 70's. *SS*

  • Yeah, Les is married and has a son who is about 20 now.

  • I am a 43 year old Danish woman who was a big BCR fan when I was a teen. I got to meet Les and was the happiest girl until I saw him with his boyfriend John. It broke my poor teenage heart. Saw the BCR in concert about 15 years ago, where Les and Ian looked like a couple of old junkies. That was such a sad sight to see.

But I still love the music and can still get the same feelings I got when I listend to once upon a star, you're a woman and all of the other great songs they did.

    Long live BCR

  • You are sadly mistaken. I'm sorry to inform you that Les is married for many years to a Japanese lady named Peko, and they have a very handsome son.

  • Even if any of them were gay or bisexual it still wouldnt change the way i feel about them i'm a fan for life

  • I was one of the "older" Rollermaniacs, being the same age as the guys when they hit the US for the first time. I instantly fell in love with them & bought everything I could get my hands on. I still have it all packed away in a large box in my garage. When I heard the Rollers playing in the background on that "October Road" ep, I could not believe my ears!! So, here I am again, listening to their music & reliving all those wonderful Rollermania memories. Thank goodness for UTube.

  • I so agree with you. It's like Rollermania strike me once again... When I heard them in October Road I tought I was dreaming lol

  • I don't watch" October Road" but codos to them for playing great music( BCR)something that us fans have known for years...Rollermania is here again with us in our 40's... (works for me)

  • I just have to say what a great thing utube has been for me! How wonderful to be able to go back in time and watch bands from my youth! And wow what a roller fan I was! Just want to say thanks... cause it literally brings tears to my eyes remembering all the fun times we had!

  • wow i was crazy about the rollers when they were around in the 70s i still think there the best im on myspace and i have eric, ian and les on my freinds list

  • I was born in '75 and I guess my mom wasn't a fan because I have never heard of them until I watched October Road this past Monday. Now I am totally hooked!!! Why weren't they more popular? They're awesome! Are they still alive? Fantastic!

  • I watch October Road too and I almost fall out my chair....GREAT MUSIC. You have to know that the BCR are the first boys band in history. Rollermania strike hard in the mid 70's and they had a record 330 000 000 millions album sold.... the were popular! Peace

  • Eric and Les.... how could you NOT fall in love with them when you were 14, 15, 16... 40...... swaying now...... and woody.... pat.... omg.... i have gone back 30 years....

    *sigh*

  • omg--they still do it to me

  • cool

  • Swayed as a kid and still swaying now! Even more beautiful now! Ah,the bittersweet memories of youth! Begging for money to buy the latest issue of Tiger Beat for even the smallest glimpse of these guys! Especially Eric and Woody lol Or getting up early on Saturday mornings to watch them and taping it on my little tape recorder.

  • Although I'm supposed to have grown up I stilll adore them. They are the best band ever.

  • Right back at you. Since I discover you tube, I'm hook on the Rollers again, and I love it... lol!

  • It's 1976 I'm that 13 year old girl sitting looking at any magazine that had the Rollers in them ( 16 and Tiger Beat) singing along to the music, it's 2007 I'm 44 and I'm still singing along gazing at Woody!!!!

  • Hi happidaze, you said it so well. I'm 44 as well and this band takes me way back to my childhood. So many great memories. And now my kids are building their own to their own heroes. Someday they too will look back. Wow, we actually made it this far. God bless.

  • Hi Piper146, It's funny I was told by the time I hit 18 The Rollers would have been a faze gone by! well I guess they were wrong!I thank God I made it this Far!! BCR Always!!!

  • Since we didn't have internet in the 70's it was a real bear to find anything but articles on them. It's such a treat to check them out like this in concert. I hadn't given them too much thought in 30 years and now I'm hooked all over again.

  • I grew up watching the Rollers, love them! But did Pat always look so sad/scared?? He just never seemed to look like he was enjoying himself. They never said why they fired him..wonder if that was why??

  • Les was fond of Pat when I met him recently :)!

  • Ok, this made me cry.

HUGE fan here... was able to see them twice in concert and met them in SLC -- had their autographs but someone stole them from me. =(

  • Thanks for posting! This is one of my fave BCR ballads. And be sure to check out the posting under the YouTube search THE ROLLERS SHOW. It's that song by Nick Lowe with pictures of the Bay City Rollers and it ROCKS!! Rollers Forever!!! thanks.

  • HAHAH THEY ARE ALL BAKED...wooo the drugs were being passed around that night

  • more likely they were all exhausted! i saw in an interview that alan did where he said that in one entire year, he only had one day off, and that was to go to a friend's wedding. i don't imagine things got any less stressful after he left!!

  • One of my favourite BCR songs!!

Les is sooooo gorgeous!! i love him to death hehe

I'm 13 years old again, sitting on the floor in my room listening to this song over and over again. Thank you the memories, the trip down memory lane has been wonderful.

  • Talk about a trip down memory lane. I loved BCR then and I love them still!!! They never did get the credit that they deserved. Thanks for posting this. It sure made my day!!

  • They sure do all look very tired on this one.

  • they all look burnt out to me lol eric's the only one that looks like hes giving a genuine smile...aw bless em' they worked so hard and the didnt get hardly anything from it.

  • I just remembered that my sister talked to Derek on the phone, when the foursome visited a radio station in Los Angeles back in '77.

  • Oh boy, doesn't Leslie have an awesome voice, isn't Eric just adorable, arent they just soooo coool.

    Im going insane again!!

  • WOW. Good old times. Love it, when I was a little girl and was dreaming to meet one day the Rollers (in particular Woody, he was so cute).

  • he still IS so cute-whether young or older-woody's always adorable!! right, everyone?

  • I'm 13 years old again, sitting on the floor in my room listening to this song over and over again. Thank you the memories, the trip down memory lane has been wonderful.

  • Remember the days when you could go to a rock concert and get wild and have fun and drool but didn't have to start a riot or hurt people? When you could go home and actually remember what happened? Thanks for posting this!

  • When u watch this video...it really looks like they are VERY TIRED! Woody looks so burnt out...Pat looks SCARED to death and Eric isnt smiling that much! i dont know...they just dont look that happy! *sigh*:-( but its still a great video! :-)

  • omg This brings back so many memories long ago. Now I remember why Eric was my first true crush.

  • Oh, man! Eric! I think I'm going to be up all night with these videos!

  • Could Pat be any less enthusiasic? Or is it just me?

  • he looks terrified!! 'o) must have been pretty daunting..

  • He sure does, bless his heart, I would have been too!! He does bear a resemblence to Ian but could never replace him in my heart!!!

  • @tritown8563 you know, i just read over the comments on this one and i stopped COLD when i got to yours-i think what pat was was SCARED TO DEATH!!!

  • i am in heaven one of my fave songs, les oh boy

  • I LOVE THIS SONG! and it sucks that Ian wasnt in this one! ah well! he was better off leaving! poor babe was not digging on the whole insanity that was the rollers! that's JMO!;-)

  • i no

  • fruits!

  • Note short-timer Pat McGlynn on rhythm guitar, very prominently featured!

  • well, pat's always been my favorite, but unfortunately, i think i only saw him on tv twice while he was in the rollers and he and ian are the only ones i've never seen in person! but his smile has been lighting up my world for 32 years!
