i tried but when i double click the icon on my computer the changes do take effect but there is nothing on my taskbar....no icon of it......

uhhmm.....when i use vistart the changes are applied but after i reboot my computer they are gon and it's back to normal.Can anyone help me with this?

yh click on vistart once you opened up your computer. then right click on the vistart (on the taskbar) and click on startup when windows starts :)
