  • What a great piece of music; and well done to whoever snagged such a strong bootleg recording - in 1976.

  • Yes, that was definitely Kelly singing the choruses. Jeff did the verses. Both did good jobs.

  • I was at this show back in 1976-it's now 2010 and I still remember every fun filled acid laced minute. From Swampscott,Ma w/LOVE,Kim Mason

  • I was lucky enough to see ELO in San Jose, Feb. 15th 1976, third night of the tour for Face The Music... that show is in my top 10, from nearly 500 concerts from '75-'10... God Bless Kelly, R.I.P.

  • never heard this live before, gee it was good, jeffs vocals on v chorus he nailed it very good. kelly i dont think he was singing! was he?, not sure he was in v band at that stage.?

  • Terrific. Great to hear this.

  • Great to hear live, raw, ELO. Thanks! Great vocals. I still say the "other worldliness" of ELO is simular to LOTR "other worldliness", kinda...

  • un pasote de cancion ojala la hubiese podido escuchar en directo

  • What a masterpiece!!! Kelly´s voice fundamental in the group.

  • I haven´t heard this kind of version of this song before.

The video was also great. It included

pictures of ELO I haven´t seen before.

  • Kelly´voice is terrific.......

    What a nice song!!!

  • Is it Kelly's voice in the chorus?

  • I'd lay money that it was kelly singing the high tenor.

  • ELO is a great band. I love all his music, Jeff is a real genious, and he should have a tribute as big as his music. Eldorado is a artistic jewel. Where can i Find this version to hear. Please let me know. I love Eldorado song and this version is awsome!!!!!

  • What a voice!

    And what a melancoly...

When I listen this song I d like to left this world and make the beautiful voyage to The Seven Cities of Cibola.

I think Jeff was thinking about this legend, thinking about the legendary golden city, EL DORADO, ubicated at South Amèrica.

It was the dream of european sailors an conquerors.

EL DORADO....like a Golden Shangri La...and that voice!!

  • What I'd give to be 17 again, living in Beantown, and catching ELO at the Orpheum! Great pictures, Thanks.

  • Splendid! There is so much energy to it! The album recording is obviously more sophisticated, but more flat as well... The San Francisco recording is better, thought...

  • very cool I just luv elo saw them 15 time live

this tour included 2x once at michigan palace detroit mi and at olympia (hockey stadium)detroit. "on the third day" was my first elo show at michigan palace 1 yr before. MD

    was the one

  • Sometimes it's hard for a live performance to match the studio album. They definitely hit the nail on the head with this one though; always loved Eldorado, and considering this was just with two cellos and a violin, this is outstanding!
