  • Hard to say if Chavez is the man that is working for his nation but for sure he is not worst that those corporations ruling the world these days. Only idiot would not see connection between oil-gas-gold.....and "democratic" interests of big nations. Just wandering after seeing this documentary if middle east is not another south America?

  • Socialism rules. amerika sucks air.

  • I do hope America will fall down soon to the ashes, like every other empire of evil, violence and expolitation in the history of humanity. I do hope, really God doesn't bless America anymore.

  • @5334881 Speak of the people in control will you...its upsetting that it seems youre wishing this on the people as a whole..who dont know half the shit thats going on anyways

  • Although I am very critical of CIA actions abroad in general, it is guys like Chavez that make sure there is still a reason for the CIA to interfere and exist. For the good of the Venezuelan people I sincerely hope that the CIA will succeed in plotting a coup against him one day...

  • @andrik1978

    We did some "Harmless bombing"

  • american people are fooled by their govt...america must see the revolution..CIA rules the world.. fuck

  • world is going to a place we cant follow, its simple, we act now, or we die as a free will

  • USA will soon circumsise Chaves big time!

  • I am taking a Latin American Politics course at the university I attend, and my professor claims Hugo Chavez is a dictator, and Cuba and Venezuela are the only countries currently in South America that are not democracies. Honestly, I expected more intelligence out of a professor. She described U.S. and CIA overthrows as: "it was bad what the U.S. did, but I still love my country, don't get my wrong." I wish I could bring Chavez and Evo Morales to class with me one day hahaha

  • This documentary is quite informative and is showing that it is quite a fight for the people but they are succeeding.

  • This documentary is complete nonsense.

  • @HateCrimesDivision Are you being serious? I am wondering what makes you think so.

  • @andrik1978, shut up! Just once we actually have a chance to see what was going on in Venezuela from the other perspective. What you are saying may or may not be true but the fact is those stories, from that perspective, is all we get to see on the media. You are right that an objective documentary would be better but for now I'll settle for the perspective that I never had a chance to see.

  • @floppymax From the other perspective?? Have you been to Venezuela recently? All you hear there is governmental propaganda...because Chavez has banned all opposition media. So your "other perspective" in Venezuelan terms would actually refer to those been stripped of all rights during this current, totalitarian regime. And yes, I have been to Venezuela several times...

  • Very emotional. Everybody involved in the making of this should be commended.

  • that went into the streets complaining about the violation of constitutional rights when Chavez cancelled important parts of it in granting himself the right to stay at the presidencial throne eternally? Moreover, why are demonstraters "inflamed by the media" whereas Chavez´s supporters motives are not questioned? If one aims to study positive Latin American development without state influence, dictatorship, populism and opression of any given class Chile and Costa Rica are most better examples

  • @andrik1978

    Chile ?!? Right . .

  • @Kzaaps Yes, Chile. Chile has had the world´s highest average economic growth rate since 2006. In fact, in this year of more financial downturn Chile is still achieving a 7,1% annual growth. Why, you ask? Because unlike in many other Latin nations they havent been tricked in to adopting populist, socialist policies like those of Chavez

  • Comment removed

  • nor the fact that Evo Morales slaughtered his opponents from the Santa Cruz region who tried to stand up to his plunder of the "lowlanders". Santa Cruzenos were discriminated strongly against in his so-called national reunion government, and as claims for independence grew stronger, so did the opression. I like wonder how this programme questions every opponent to Chavez but take all his arguments at face value. Where is the mentioning of the literally million of young student demonstraters

  • Hence, this whole perception Mr. Plieger trys to portray of a unified continent raising up against the Western world is not only a bad misinterpretation, it straight out incorrect. Many modern Uruguayans, Argentineans, Brazilians or Chileans feel a strong cultural connection with their North-American peers and this whole so-called "revolt" is really only found among the poor and rural population of said nations. Also, let not forget that Chavez did NOT win his elections constitutionally correct

  • @andrik1978 "peers and this whole so-called "revolt" is really only found among the poor and rural population of said nations"

oh, so you mean about 99% of the population?

  • @TheStamon You seriously need to study statistics and Latina American societies, buddy. Several Latin American countries have a good number of middle class people. Chile, Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Costa Rica and more..they arent really 3rd world nations at all.

A good example: Cristina Kirchner may be Argentina´s (corrupt) current president, but she only achieved 24% of the votes in Buenos Aires where people have more studies and more societal knowledge than in the poor countryside.

  • state-run channels are allowed to broadcast. Something which has been strongly critizised by both the OAS (organisation of american states) as well as the UN. It seems Mr. Plieger forgot to tell about this part. In Argentina 77% of Buenos Aires middle class citizens consider the socialist president Kirchner to work out of self-interest only - and many common people in neighbouring countries (no, not those of the upper class) consider Chávez and Evo Morales to be "madmen"

  • Unfortunately, the same development is happening in Bolivia, Argentina, Nicaragua and Ecuador where the same socialist populism that this video hails is conquering votes. It is a sad developement - tricking poor people into believing that your worst enemy is really working in your favour. Also notice how 99% of all interviewed people are in favor of Chavez and their motives or roles are never questioned. And for those unknown to the subject, Venezuela of today has strict censorship laws were ONLY

  • Selective journalism at its worst!! I am sorry, but this documentary is flawed with lack of criticism towards "the other". Hugo Chavez IS a criminal who is sending political prisoners into eternal damnation, who runs a semi-dictatorship supported by the army, who has rigged several elections and who, despite the richness of the soil, has managed to create more crime and more violence. Caracas today is the most crime infested cities of all South America cities.

  • music video distributors are a entertainment group for artists and etc....

  • What a shit. this is not Chris Martin from Coldplay!!!

  • Democracy is garbage.

A republic is what people need.

  • america and uk are the biggest problem facing the earth today all the wrongs that we faces today are coming from them

  • @efesmith1 fuck the beatles and the stones

  • men you rite

  • that CIA guy is a deutche

  • Turn off mainstream media America! You are being fed a lie and you continue to support that lie with your vote of a corrupt Empire that has killed many innocents of these so- called "Banana Republics or 3rd World countries".

  • If every gun toting, evangelical, patriotic American were to watch this doc and then do their own research to verify it's truthfulness. Then, maybe then, we might have the masses march onto DC and protest for real change. Never leaving that Masonic city until finally the military would get a backbone like the Venezuelan army did and overthrow the puppet regime.

  • VIVA CHAVEZ!!!!!

  • Great docu.

  • its funny, at about 32:00 an 80's movie breaks out of this contemporary documentary...
