i have a question what about if u left the school because you decide to join the army is that possible because i asked that question to one of the recruiters and they told me that i have to finish the high school or i will not join the army wtf
@crazyman9914 Joining now has become difficult if you do not finish high school, you don't have to finish high school but then you need to get a really high score on the GED tests.
@PersonalGeek plenty of combat vet rakkasans in my old unit, we had a little bit of everything, NG is a solid fighting force but they were out of shape, that's all =)
i'm a california Guardsmen assigned to the 79th brigade combat team in Sandiego California but i'm still in AIT, what are my chances of getting sent to Air assault school right after AIT?
@felio182 Unless you're high speed, your chances are pretty slim. The unit usually gives out schools to guys with top PT scores, and then they give schools to the ambitious ones who show leadership qualities.
It might be 6-8 months before your unit is comfortable enough with you to send you to any one school. Also, don't fuck it up. If you fail ANYTHING at ANY POINT in your Army career, don't expect any further opportunities.
Alright Seargent... Good action packed video. But can you tell me in what real world senario an air assault team that needs to extract a VIP quickly, or is expecting to get into a situation that involves TIC, they would be rappelling insted of using the FRIES?
Afghanistan 2001 - present (We are short on troops so people use air to send in troops to raid villages.)
You would need this if you can't land, a quick dismount assualt. If everyone came in by ground or landed a Helo some foe would shoot at it. Dismount quickly then get out just as fast.
