Poor dog. Never felt so sorry for one cuz he wasn't even antagonizing the deer. Heart wrenching. How can a dog owner possibly predict such a situation, even owning an inoffensive and friendly dog that wouldn't hurt a fly, let alone a mother deer acting on instinct. This is a tough situation. Interestingly though the deer knew, at first, that the cat wasn't a threat. She got a bit testy eventually.
The people screaming are not the dog's owners, its there neighbors, and the owner probably didn't even know the deer was out there. That's why it was just sitting there in all likelihood. And if I was there I would have tried to get the dog out of there the second I saw it anywhere near a wild deer, at least the cat knows how to run away.

As much as i hate to see animals get hurt its not the deers fault , the top comments are pathetic ,you shoot a wild deer you'll get charged with animal abuse and secondly the baby will have no mother, the deer was protetcting its baby its natural althought i think attacking the dog was a bit harsh considering how far away the dog was , if anyone shouldve been attacked it would be the cat he got up and personal but he was just playing with the baby ,so have fun going to jail if you shoot deers,

Welcome to nature suburbanites. This is how deer are. Dogs are perceived as threats to Fawn. Reaction, stomp threat into a grease mark. Be glad it wasn't a Buck, Fido would have gotten the stick and flip treatment. Antlers aren't just for show, kiddies. @BlackPhanter47 wtf is a pit bull going to do? I rescue abused pits and they're sweet as pie. Besides, sending a pet to destroy a wild animal will only get your pet killed by DNR. In my State, DNR and police are allowed to shoot a dog that is being a nuisance to wildlife. Would your REALLY want that on your conscience? I say beat the snot out of the damn owner.. just sayin!

There is no doubt that deer could have killed the dog if the dog became aggessive. She was trying to warn the dog away from her fawn, but the dog lay down rather than back away. Priceless video!

Poor dog. Never felt so sorry for one cuz he wasn't even antagonizing the deer. Heart wrenching. How can a dog owner possibly predict such a situation, even owning an inoffensive and friendly dog that wouldn't hurt a fly, let alone a mother deer acting on instinct. This is a tough situation. Interestingly though the deer knew, at first, that the cat wasn't a threat. She got a bit testy eventually.

The people screaming are not the dog's owners, its there neighbors, and the owner probably didn't even know the deer was out there. That's why it was just sitting there in all likelihood. And if I was there I would have tried to get the dog out of there the second I saw it anywhere near a wild deer, at least the cat knows how to run away.
