  • its a good shelter but u need more foundation and u need to fix the fire place cs in need of a fire inside all that smoke will kill u but other than that ur shelter is great

  • @500eze Thank you for the insight my friend i appreciate that.

    , Reggie

  • There would be much more space, if you dig down a little

  • @cerka0 Yeah but if i do that my friend it might fill up with water :(

    Thanks, Reggie

  • @TheGods1marine then put something on walls, like slate. BTW sorry for my bad english

  • Minecraft irl.

  • @SCIFIguy64 haha Thank you my friend, Reggie

  • yeah what was that other shelter in the background

  • @ghost173335 Just another shelter i had built, Reggie

  • why dont u make more vids i love them

  • @deadlywarier Working on that my friend and Thank you, Reggie

  • muito bom.

  • @TheCallavera Obrigado meu amigo

  • Anybody else see that other structure in the background? WTF was that?

  • @9thchild haha yeah my friend its another one of my shelters.

    Thanks, Reggie

  • reggie are you on public or private land i had a set up like that on public and the drn made me take it down are you deep in the woods on public or what message me!

    hayden.

  • @07minkman I build them on both my friend however i make sure its ok first.

    Thanks, Reggie

  • In terms of the fire, what would you do if it poured down rain for a full day to stay warm? Building the fire with the fireplace as-is wouldn't work as it's outside and would just be rained on.

  • @rvrsl As long as you keep an eye on the fire my friend it should be fine.

    Thanks, Reggie

  • @rvrsl A mini lean-to above the chimney would probably work, just have to make sure that it is high enough above it to not hinder the smoke or catch on fire.

  • Looks very cosy.

  • @venuism Thank you my friend, Reggie

  • I think you've done great, love your vid's.

Also; i couldnt believe how dark it is inside during daytime. Well done i say...

  • @willem01 Thank you my friend, Reggie

  • Your parents must be proud because I am in just knowing that all the youth of america hasent lost there surival skills. Build, grow, protect. Vote Ron Paul!

  • @jongh666 Thank you my friend, Reggie

  • @jongh666 ...NO.

  • a little awning or cover over the chimney, like you made for the door, would have been a good addition. Just to keep rain from getting inside or on your fire.

  • @thecodeman1269 That's is true my friend

    Thanks, Reggie

  • @TheGods1marine Awesome work Reggie, glad to find your videos today, look forward to more!

  • What about cooking during rain? I noticed your chimney didn't have a covering.

  • @joshpj84 Very little water can get throw the chimney but i must admit it was a concern at first also the fire place is not for cooking as it is for heating the shelter.

    Thank you my friend, Reggie

  • Has it been through any rain yet? It would be interesting to see how waterproof it is.

  • @zagamaphatoadis Yes my friend in the last part of this video the shelter had been throw a few days of rain.

    Thanks,Reggie

  • Awesome shelter man! When I get the time, I am for sure going to be building that!

  • @MKW23BH Thats great my friend let me know how it go's for you

    Thanks, Reggie

  • this is awesome and im also trying to build one like this but im having a little trouble with finding the right sticks and a good place for making it and thanks for the video.

  • @hondaguy199 Thank you my friend and i hope you can find a good place

    ,Reggie

  • you wouldn't have to go find food an animal would wonder off and fall into the fire place

  • @HunkyDj I highly doubt that would happen but would be nice if it did.

    Thank you my friend, Reggie

  • @Khazikx no need to be jealous my friend any can do this if given the time and opportunity .and that was another one of my shelters

    Reggie

  • That is really cool, I can build simple shelters but that is really good...one question.....what if rain water comes in from the chimney and ruins the shelter?

  • @camouflagelane Thank you my friend. And no, the opening of the chimney is not large enough to cause a problem.

    Reggie

  • What's the shelter on the left at 1:16?

  • @MrTinyoldjason The one i built in this video

    Thanks, Reggie

  • Nice work! Question, is it wise to smoke out the shelter if the leaves are really, really dry? Kinda afraid of setting fire to the whole thing.

  • nice work!, but i got a litlle tip for ya maybe for next time it is smarter to put your grill lower in the shelter so you dont have to go out to grill something.

  • Nice informative video.

  • hey nice chimney can you go back to the part wher......wait I'll be right wit ya

  • Nice!

  • I notice you had one other shelter just like the one you should how to build and another one that looked like it was made completly out of bamboo and in front of that a spinning fire rack do you this you can show how to make the spinning fire rack

  • do you own these woods?

  • I have watched alot of video on shelters and u were the first to say anything about smoking the darn thing out!!!! If u had not said somthing I would have to learn the hard way.

    Thanks

  • And could you make a vid about what you take with you when you do this? Like a survival kit?

  • @TheGods1marine yes but it's not to hard, I used this technique yesterday (btw thanks) and I got to the rack quite easy. Now I just need to build the rest. Also what state do you live in? I didn't know the us had bamboo, btw are you a boy scout?

  • @jack1654098 ya the U.S. has bamboo because it has been brought over hear a long time ago

  • Another purpose u might not have thought of: you can use the stove rack in the chimney to grill. :D

  • @jack1654098 that is true however it be kinda hard to get to ;)

  • @TheGods1marine not if you hang your meat in thin strips and smoke it dumb as......wait I'll be right wit ya

  • @jraybu09 that is true, also thank you for viewing and commenting on every part of this video series I really appreciate your support.

    Thanks, Reggie

  • @TheGods1marine Youre quite welcome

  • Nice beaver dam lol good job!

  • U might be the coolest person ever

  • Good job man. I'd like to try it out, though I'd be a bit worried about catching that whole mess on fire while I was in it. Haha

  • :v

  • where you tired

  • dude nice job

  • Great shelter! The only thing that I would add would be a over hang for the chimney if it rained it would rain right on ur fire

  • 0:19 ... you made a whole village of these forts... didn't you? lol. That is really pretty cool dude.

  • umm please respond...thats prety awsome and i was hoping you'd make a vid on the little hut beside yours. the fire place is GENIOUS <-(dont know how to spell that)

  • i love all your videos, i imagine that the bamboo is a good insulator due to the fact that they are hollow.

  • hope you never wake up with a spider on your forehead...lol..but I liked the video

  • that looks like hut from the stoneage after they used caves but i dont sure if they looked exactly like that but people are saying that it did looked somekind of that the only thing thats are changed is the steel thingy in the fireplace and on stoneage they did use other ropes

  • Congrats to you . One of very few you tube videos that include shelter with fire ! A major accomplishment , you should be proud . With the exception of the grate and maybe the twine you used (over looking the bamboo) you made it all from what you found in the bush . Well done !!
