I am in the share market and I have a huge spread sheet database(chart) of morethan 500 comapnies and everyday prices of them for more than 2 years.
I want to make each cell turn to red IF the Privious day's price is higher, or green IF privious day's price is lower or yellow IF the both prices are equal. and I want to apply it for the whole 2 years.
I tried every thing I know but nothing workout. :S
Very interesting :). And if, for some reason, the IF formula didn't work, you could then add a second condition whereby a cell that doesn't have "Warning" in it or doesn't equate to B2<E$2, then the cell would remain blank :P.
Thanks man!!!

hi! i have a question. what if i want to automatically highlight the entire row when a cell is "equal" to a certain text.
for example:
i have misc. values for cell A1 TO E1 (mix text, dates and numbers) and on
F1 i input a text "WITH RESULTS", and i want to highlight the entire row with "WITH RESULTS" text in FCOLUMN ONLY.. what should be the right formula ?
thanks
