Love 90% of the music. That's all that matters. What the hell difference does it make what some person I'll never know in doing in their personal life.
We girls just don't like to see a gorgeous talented guy that is gay merely because it means one less awesome guy available to us! We're left with the beer guts and wrestlers. It's not the fact that he likes guys, it's the fact that we just want him to like us. true story.
I wish people could just focus on his talent instead of freaking out about the fact that he's gay. Seriously. Sexuality doesn't matter when it comes to talent. He could be fucking a dog for all I care - as long as he's got a good voice, I'll buy his music.
I Don't know, people. Maybe I just can't look at them. ( I think it is the influence on one national gay singer, that my country has. He is awfuly lame.)
You know, he looks so great, when you think, that he is a real man.
Why the fuck is he gay? I was like: "You know rufus wainwright? He is my new idol" And my friend was like: "You no, he is gay?" And i was like: "NO fk'in way... :( "
@EpicLame100 Seriously, it doesn't matter. Homophobic or no, talent is talent, and you should just appreciate it without worrying about what they do in their private lives.
Boy, has he grown into himself! When he started he so still gawky and scared....now take gander (!) at this gorgeous hunk of man. Such a talent. Major big time talent.
I just discovered him last week and I've been searching all last week for more of his music whenever I got the chance. Great musician, heard on an interview that Elton John called his one of the greatest song writers of today. That says a lot. From what I've seen he looks like a lovely guy. Shame he isn't more popular.
By the way, I'm not trying to say that Rufus stole his tune from Bizet, just that the rhythm of "Vibrate" is reminiscent of a Habanera. Bizet's Habanera is probably the most familiar example to most folks, and come to think of it, Rufus is a huge opera fan. The score of "Carmen" is surely in his musical memory. Everything a composer hears becomes part of the material from which they can create new things.
when i listen to this song i can't pay attention to the lyrics because i am so distracted by trying to identify the tune....it is familiar to me and everyone else i know, but we can't identify it or what it is similar to. anyone know?
@beingwyrd How about the Habanera by Georges Bizet from the Opera "Carmen"? System won't let me post a link here but if you search Carmen Habanera you should find lots of examples. The similar bit will be a minute into the clip.
he is gay yes, and absolutely nothing wrong whatsoever with that, his purity through music and genuine happiness he has arrived to with his lifestyle in today's world should be admired. He is a very happy person with the way he lives and it channels through his voice, what more could ask for in life than to love who you are and express that love to the rest of the world in way they can close their eyes and feel?...
i know he's super gay - when i saw him live his finale was to dress in drag as Judy Garland : ) - but his voice still makes me melt like ice cream on a hot afternoon.
what an incredible talent!! "pinochio's now a boy who wants to turn back to a toy" what a fantastic lyric that is , however you interp his lyrics they are just wonderfull.
@sNAiTHnAg this made me laugh. out loud, as it were. cuz i definitely know exactly where you're coming from. he's catchy, it's good songwriting but... there's something missing.
Rufus is such an incredible personality. I could change my sex for him:)) And I discovered him only 3 weeks ago. His music is not played on the radio and he is not shown on TV in catholic countries. What a shame!
@StealinKills Yes , I did, though i didn't literally mean it .Gay people have it much harder in life.We say things like that when we lose our head, when we are head over heels in love. I hope, you know what I mean. I admire R's sincerity , openness and his music speaks to me. I'd love to see him at a concert
@2010hera yeah... I discovered him like TODAY.... you know why is that because most of the time this world FAILS T_T but people like him make me believe in humanity... hope is all that's left... :P
i love his songs and this is my ringtone
