@jmariewashington What bible did you read that in. Not all will speak in tongues. The Holy Ghost is not tongues. You can be filled with the Holy Ghost with out speaking in tongues.

@whoswatchingyou Now that is a BOLD lie from the pit of Hell. The Bible says in Acts 10 they knew that they had the Holy Ghost for they heard them speak with tounges. That is the intital physical evidence of receiving the Holy Ghost. If you don't speak with tounges you havent expereienced Pentecost.

Tarrying it not bibical. Peter even stated that ye shall receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost not tarry for it. Those following the day of Pentecost werent insturcted to tarry, but to receive.

if the holy ghost is a gift, why do a person have to work for it. free gifts does not consist of labor. only acceptance through faith. speaking in tongues was a language that could be understood. oh, how we long to speak as on the day of pentecost. if a person never speak in tongues, but have faith and is baptized. they are yet saved. no where in the Bible does it tells us to speak in tongues for salvation. these gifts were useful in Apostolic times. ask yourself, have I raised the dead? no!
