  • Position over submission is a term that guy does not take in mind when he competes..

  • There was no fuckin need for him to crank it that fast and that intense....Fuckin dickhead.

  • i hope that guy is ambidextrous.. gigity

  • ouch

  • That was no accident. "Spoiled brat" is putting it nicely. Looks like a person with a lot of frustration, maybe little power in the real world

  • AHHHHHH!!! OH MY GOD

  • OUCH!!! What a shame. Beautiful technique UNTIL he snapped that guy's arm. Martials arts is about CONTROLLED FORCE, and this guy whether caught in the adernaline rush or just carelessness DID NOT CONTROL his force resulting in a break.

  • the guy in black did it by accident, you can tell(he covers his face right after he breaks it)

  • he had no time to tap - The guy just ripped it, with no sense of consequence for the other guy. Whos the idiot -the guy who broke someones arm for a single win? Im sure it wasnt for first place in the absolute division of grapplers quest. Hey In a street fight yea. but...

  • Yes it is lol, what in idiot...

  • Isn't this ussually why you immediately tap out when the other guy gets you into a lock?

  • holy shit, that looks painful lol

  • Nasty kimura loud break too.

  • was he in a choke aswell?

  • Black belt? instructor? who the hell are you hearing this from? He trains at the same place I do. He is a blue belt (and a damn good one) The academy is run by a black belt. He didn't do it just to break somenes arm. he applied a submission and the guys arm happened to break. It was a freak accident.

  • You're talking shit you don't even know who the guy is.

  • You're talking shit you don't even know who the guy is.

  • that guy should have his head cut off and lit on fire in front of his mothers house for that. if the guy wants to fight in wars and hurt people, recruitment stations are open 6 days a week

  • You're an idiot. It is called Brazilian Jiujitsu. He didn't over torque the hold, which was a kimura from the side mount position. Looked like a freak accident to me. Get some knowledge about the subject before talking out of your ass about something you know nothing about.

  • Uh didnt over torque the hold??? holy shit youtubers are becoming dumber and dumber these days. Do you have absolutely any clue about mma. From what i am reading you are a newbie to the sport.

  • it looked like the guy on bottom didnt resist at all. The one in black looked genuinely shocked, but normally it takes some effort to lock in a kimura. that looked too easy, and seemed to snap early

  • He is a black belt in BJJ he should of controlled that kimura. Even though he was shocked about it who wouldn't be after you see someones arm dangling like that. He knew what was going to happen he just wanted to see how much pressure his opponent could handle and snapped his arm

  • the kimura damages the shoulder

  • wow... thats some sick shit. i really dont see any sportsmanship there... academy or not.

  • Absolutley disgusting sportsmanship, He should be banned from grappling and mma events. He just seemed to get up and stroll off?!? Prick.

  • hey the guy that broke the arm is a teacher and went and saw the kid in the hospital. He's not a prick he even gave him presents and shit. I think he's under choke academy.

  • what does a kimura damage?

  • it depends on how much pressure is applied. i know its a shoulder lock but it torqued roughly like the vid it could break one of the 3 bones in the forearm; humerus, radius and ulna. honestly i don't know what bone broke because im not familiar with any of the breaks like this. so the only damage i could tell u is that it can cause damage in any part of the arm from the force used to torque the arm.

  • Agreed

  • dude look @ it again. he walked off his his hands covering his face. he was obviously shocked when it happened...

  • he looked in shock. as soon as the arm snapped, he put his own hands up to his head in realisation... and let the ref take care of business.

  • are you guys serious don't get involved with the sport if your afraid to take injuries anyone who disagrees with me is a complete pussy. you have to be willing to accept your eventually going to get injured.

  • its not about being afraid to take injuries its knowing when to tap. If you are a fighter and dont know yet then i think you need to try a non contact sport before you get neck broken. Damn your a moron lol.

  • honestly i agree if you don't wanna get hurt coza sport don't play if you can cope with the fear why not play? it's fun and if you get hurt so what? at least you'll have had a little fun. my mum can no longer run coza an injury she got in a parking lot back in 1998. but that doesn't stop her enjoying it. she swims etc therefore still enjoying sport just a different one to one you need to run in.

(also as you can see above she wasn't injured in a sport merely walking to work)

  • BJJ is known to be the "gentle martial art".. one tries not to hurt the opponent or themselves for a victory.

  • well i agree that injury comes with any sport, but you sound like a total spoiled brat when you say if anyone disagrees with me your a complete pussy. its a dangerous sport man, some ppl have lives and jobs to lead so for some it may not be worth the risk.

  • if you are so dumb to do this kind of gay hugging sport then you deserve to get a broken arm

  • people who say this is gay just gotta be gay...

they must be quite uncomfortable with their sexual opinion --'

  • oh man, Id feel so bad if I did that, not to mention everyone calling me a jerk just cause I pushed to hard, Im not him so I dont know if it was on purpose or not... but he seemed genuine, Kimuras are nasty, if you dont push hard enough it doesnt hurt quite badly enough, but push just a little too hard and snap. then again, if you get stuck in a Kimura even if you can bear the pain, not tapping is just asking to have a break. but yeah, a little overzealous on the Kimura, easy mistake to make.

  • wow... it's a amazing more breaks don't happen...

  • that was freakin awesome. Geez that is so gnar time!!!

  • why does the guy act like he was surprised that he dislocated his elbow?? he purposely did it, and then tried to play it off like it was an accident

  • I broke a guy's shoulder in a kimura once and it sucked. Worst day ever. It makes me sick to my stomach to this day and it was a complete accident. I agree that the top man threw his kimura on a little fast, but it's obvious that he didn't do it on purpose. Adrenaline+inexperience can result in dangerous situations sometimes. It's part of the risks involved with joint manipulations.

  • There's a lot of wisdom in your statement. Adrenaline and inexperience put me on the wrong end of a kimura arm break. Me & my opponent are cool now. Life sucked for several months, but I'm 95% back to normal with my arm. :)

  • Except that was an expirenced blackbelt with a known history of assholishness who was annoyed to be fighting a white belt in an open tournament. (Bad idea, but still...)

A little searching the net can get you the whole story.

  • never let your man gain leverage in a grappling struggle regardless.

  • i think the guy is a idiot.. he throw kimura too fast.. he had control and if he was smart

no injury to his partner happen..

  • well, the guy doesnt look happy when he goes up, looks like he made a "misstake"....

  • The link you give is broken. I can't think of anything that would excuse the aggression he showed to his partner anyway. An accident that shouldn't have happened.

  • Read the fucking response before you call the guy an asshole. chokeacademy . com/statement . html

Take the spaces out. The guy performing the submission was not in any way at fault. Jesus, people.

  • ohhhhhh OUCH.

  • I agree with all that was ghey. Its not a street fight.

  • asshole should give a chance

  • still thats wack.. i train bjj and you just dont do that ...its not a fight....that dude is a fuckin loser...

  • It looks like he did apply the kimura way too fast, he had plenty of time and didnt even work the triangle before going straight for another submission. I dont know why he didnt just use the triangle?? It looks on and I use reverse triangle from kesa gatame a lot and it goes on quick.

  • most of you guys are retards and obviously keyboard warriors... read his comments on his website

  • wow...that was pretty messed up he should have given the guy to tap...he had both arms trapped and he cranked the guys arm too hard..sad>>

  • That is Messed up...the guy that cranked the others arm off looks totally upset ,but you can tell that he knows he took things way to far.

If he gives the kid free lessons that is very honorable and the least he can do...They should be private lessons at that..to work the material on him.

  • Holy Shit..

  • wtf is wrong with u.Ur suppos to give the guy a chance to tap out not just break his arm

  • The guy who broke the other guy's arm IS a moron. He's a jerk. It doesn't take ALOT of training to break someone's joints or limbs. A TRUE expert knows how to CONTROL the hold SLOWLY

  • roid rage anyone?

  • Uh...no matter how hard or fast he cranked, it shouldn't have snapped his arm right in the middle, retards. It's a shoulder lock.

  • Yes, but sometimes humerus-es break first. Mine did.

  • you should drink some milk

  • holy crapola...that thing snapped like a twig man!

  • Learn to apply pressure, noob.

  • That was way out of control. Anyone who trains knows that there is a general area where most people tap to that move. It varies depending on a person's flexibility, but that's why you learn to execute the move SLOWLY and CONTROLLED. Being mounted on that guy with a triangle he had complete control. He could have taken his time and saved that guys arm.

  • read his statement

  • jiu jitsu is about control, he shouldnt hav cranked it so hard, but mistakes happen especially in bjj

  • I agree. It's not a street fight. The better you are at jiu-jitsu the more control you have, and the less you need to force things. I'm sure he didn't mean to do it, but he should go sit in a room of mirrors and take a good look around.

  • it was a freak accident. the guy's submission isn't what broke his arm. i'm glad he's giving him free training though.

  • it actually WAS from the kimura if you watch it...arms dont break by themselves. and i think the OTHER guy needs to give that kid training. he broke his arm, i think he needs to show him a thing or 2

  • Ouch, that could have been prevented, yes. But it happens.

  • jesus!! wat a son a son of a damn-fuking bitch!!! not intentional but i think it wasn't necessary, poor kid.several moths to fix that.

  • if it wasnt intentional, why are you calling him horrible names? moron.

  • Benign bone tumors could easily predispose a bone (such as Mad's humerus) to easy fracture. I'm surprised no one mentioned this. (The Radiologists might've looked for evidence of this on the x-ray, and simply not mentioned it. A good DC likely would have. The point I'm trying to convey is that with said condition, it would NOT take extreme force to fracture the humerus, which would explain Mad's feeling little discomfort at the shoulder when his humerus snapped.

  • That's definitely unfortunate, but that's the kind of thing that can happen in any competitive sport. At least the guy apologized for it. It's obvious it wasn't intentional.

This is what the guy who broke the arm says. He gives the guy free lessons to his school and stuff, he's pretty cool about and felt horrible.

  • Yeah what a cockhead!! he had total control. He could of taken heaps of time with that!

  • I dont think he ment to break the arm. That arm will take a long time to heal but he will be ok.

  • Not cool at all

  • Its not "not cool" it just "is."

  • He had the guy in 100% control, no need to crank it like that but those are the risks you take when you compete.

  • i agree with that. i fi were him id have put a lot less pressure on the arm cus he was in control

  • What does a kimura damage?

  • IT wasn't practice, ir was competition. Still not OK though.

  • can u fix that arm? i really wanna noe

  • Most likely, but I'm pretty sure that will never be 100% in years, in fact he probably won't be able to compete.

  • what a dick

  • I agree

  • He cranked that kimura so fast you would think he was fighting for his life or something, that is the kind of scum that will hold this sport back. No need to crank it that fast, the guy wasnt going anywhere.

  • I agree

  • oof, im a striker and dats my worst nitemare

  • ouch!

  • Ouch! He didn't get any time to tap!

  • Was that really unavoidable? I know Kimuras can go too far but seriously!! Was there a grudge involved?

  • oh shit :(
