Ah, the original plan. Now its mgr revengeance. Sounds a bit corny, and it strays alot from stealth, going for a more mortal combat with a sword feel. But i guess we won't know until we see it. If the game is succesful, it will be made into a sereies. We'll have the original 16 biit metal gear, it's polygon using sequel, solid, and the future of mgs, rising.

For all the uninformed out there, this is no longer the game. Kojima was having trouble getting it to run properly on their engine and so gave it away to platinium games, makers of Bayoneta. Its a litte bit more over the the top than this, humans dont die in one slash but still in just a few. Check it out by searching gameplay.

The mgs series has always confused me. I beat 1,2, and 3. I'm working on 4. But like, I don't get all the stuff with them being clones or like what time period it is in snake eater and sons of liberty. Its all confusing. Can anyone explain to me wht the mgs series is about? Thanks

@SnipingLikeJesus The the timeline between the games goes from 1960s to the the future aprox. 2030s. The story focuses on several plots but the two main ones would be Big Boss (The greatest soldier) and his legacy, which is subsequently his clones, Solid, Liquid and Solidus Snake and the patriots a censorship system that controls everything and everyone. MGS 3 and the PSP games are played as Big Boss in the 60s while MGS 1,2,4 you play as his clone Solid Snake in 90s onwards.

Also what you people need to remember is that Raiden is no longer that stealthy field operative anymore, even in 4 where people liked him a lot when he fought vamp and everything he is all ninja'd out. I can appreciate this game and don't dislike it at all. It helps to not think of it as a Generic Metal gear but to try to view it out of the eyes of Raiden in Mgs4.

Metal Gear started before Sony even made a gaming system so I don't understand why people think it belongs to one company. A lot of console fanboys seem to be ignorant of the Metal gear history. The first Metal gear titles were MSX exclusives. That just goes to say, that whenever a Metal Gear is being made, whatever platform it will be on has nothing to do with companies being ''loyal'' to other companies. Nor should it be that way. This game was made just because Microsoft is jealous that MGS4 was a PS3 exclusive, so Rising is only for XBOX. It's going to be a significantly smaller game because of that. Just like how MGS1 was remade for Gamecube "The Twin Snakes", but they didn't put it on PS2.
