  • you spelt premier wrong

  • @mrilovechildren Where?

  • @mrilovechildren You spelled "Spelled" wrong. LOL

Spelt is a type of wheat.

  • @Andyproscooter I haven't actually got that, so I'm not too sure, but so long as you can use some form of chroma keying, it should work. Just try googling something like adobe "premiere elements chroma key" and that should help.

  • @HeapsGoodProductions how do I do it for iMovie?

  • @ILuvSelGomez1012 Well, the easiest way would be to get footage with a green background, then use the green screen effect. Just search for a tutorial on youtube, it's too hard to explain through text.

  • do you have the link for free download fire effect ?

  • @williamp190596 Go to the website I mention in the video, Detonation Films. There's heaps of free fire effects there.

  • @HeapsGoodProductions do you save the format in winrar? thnx

  • @williamp190596 Sorry, I'm on mac, so I'm not entirely sure. But do you mean when it comes up with the window saying "Would you like to save or open this file?" Or something along the lines of that? If so, yeah choose save, and download it as whatever comes up first. I'm pretty sure you should be able to extract the footage from the winrar file then.

  • @HeapsGoodProductions ok thanks :)

  • @williamp190596 You're welcome!

  • do you have the link for free download fire effect

  • it got it but then it said i had to pay for license to get the free ones

  • @2centthompson On detonation films?

  • @HeapsGoodProductions yes the license

  • @2centthompson never mind i used a diferent program to extract

  • How do you move the effect?

  • @ferrarienzo564 In what software?

  • dude you are awesome

  • how do you get the effect installed?

  • @Refilmz Go to about 0:29 in the video, I've added an annotation with a link to some tutorials in iMovie.

  • how do you do that thing where all of your opened windows come up in the middle of the screen??? its so kewl

  • @DomoTheAngryBrownie It only works on a Mac, but you hold Command, and press tab to swap between them.

  • @HeapsGoodProductions oh kewl thx and i have a mac

  • @HeapsGoodProductions Windows can do the same with ALT and TAB.

  • I know an easier way to the effect in premire pro cs4. I will put it in video response

  • @otterstudios Ok, cool. I'm not very good with Premiere, so go for it!

  • does this work on iMovie?

  • @SirMisterD I can't say I've ever tried it, but I know iMovie has a green screening option. However, it can only key out green. So if you have an explosion with a green background, then you're in luck. If not, you could play around with the colour settings and try changing whatever colour the background is to green, if that makes sense. Here's a tutorial on green screening in iMovie anyway watch?v=8pS5_Z_2eKA

  • @HeapsGoodProductions ok. the video link, it doesn't work, could u send me another one?

  • @SirMisterD Oh, sorry, should've told you. YouTube won't allow comments with full links, in case people spam links everywhere, so just type the normal youtube address, add then add /watch?v=8pS5_Z_2eKA

  • @HeapsGoodProductions ok, thanks!

  • will it work with adobe premiere elements?

  • @SUPERHEROLUVR It should do. From what I know, elements is just a lighter version of pro, but keying is a basic function, so you should be able to.

  • @Leolego29437 Try just changing the blending mode to add. The blending mode drop box are the things next to the layers, as seen in this picture:

    automaticduck . com / user_guides / PIAE5UserGuide / images/BlendingMode . jpg

    Just remove the spaces.

  • do u need after effects, to use premiere pro, or can u just have premiere pro to add effects? to ur video

  • @Tommy2man After Effects and Premiere are separate programs. So to use premiere, you don't need After Effects. Same goes for After Effects, you don't need Premiere for it. They are both by the same company however, so they do look similar. I only showed them both in the video so that if someone doesn't have After Effects, they can watch the premiere tutorial, etc.

  • @HeapsGoodProductions o ok thanks

  • How do you make the fire move?

  • @Billofbong Click on the little dropdown arrow next to the fire layer, goto transform, then click the clock next to position. Go ahead some frames to the next part of the movie where you want to move the fire to, and click and drag the fire, to its new position. Now, go back to the part of your movie where you first clicked the clock, watch it, and it should move.

  • @HeapsGoodProductions In final cut.

    Sorry, I didn't say.

  • @Billofbong Oh, that's okay. Well I haven't actually used Final Cut for a while now, so it'd probably be a better idea just to do a YouTube search for Final Cut Keyframe tutorial or something like that. If you know how to keyframe, then you'll know how to make the fire move.

  • @HeapsGoodProductions Great, thanks!

  • iMovie 09'?

  • how do you change it to something other then a zip file

  • @dale1364 Change what?

  • Instead of doing color key, just change the mode to add

  • ok..thx

  • aright..can u make a video show us about this skills PLZ

  • @lostchee Just use what I taught on this video and apply it to your body, or look up some other tutorial, I'm sure there's already one somewhere.

  • whatever i get it now..

but i can't it the explosive effects that u have CZ it not free alright..i just get another one..lol

& can i make my body burn in this programe..?

  • @lostchee You can do just about anything [in After Effects and Final Cut) as long as you have the skill to do so!

  • what's the name of the video editor which u use it plz

  • @lostchee All the info about what I used is in the description

  • wow you sound so young, but u are so talented, i can only use final cut, i cant even use after effects!? and thank you so much!!

  • @FishRFrenzNotFood Thanks! I think I was 12 or 13 when I made this, so it's funny listening back 1 year on hearing how high my voice used to be. It's quite embarrassing really :P

    And you're welcome! I'm glad i could help :D

  • speak up plz

  • @Mmmad19 Sorry, next time I will. But in the meantime, can't you just turn up your speakers?

  • @HeapsGoodProductions i'm using my new labtop and my volume is on max and i geuss its too quiet, sowy i was just really frustrated because i'm trying to add an explosion to my video and i cant seem to friggen make the explosion black background NOT black, so i am unable to overlap it, i tried that color key thing but i changed it to the color you did but it did nothin, i'v tried like 50 tutorials, im using cs4, do you know what my mistake might be? thx

  • @Mmmad19 Ah ok. Well I'm not entirely sure what you could be doing wrong... Did you try changing the colour tolerance around a bit?

  • 2:51 you should have changed the layer mode to screen much faster

  • Finally and Australian!!!

  • thank you

  • @HeapsGoodProductions Final Cut. Also how do you rotate...

  • @MyBrainGoBoom Well it's hard to explain in words, so watch this tutorial, I'm fairly sure it explains the basics /watch?v=58-88FBWuS0 (just add that to youtube dot com)

  • How do i move the fire around?

  • @MyBrainGoBoom What software are you using?

  • @dantetheipodlover So are you!

  • thank u

  • @IKnowMac1 Your welcome :)

  • @angie14847 Thanks :)

  • @RedNinja96 That's strange... can you tell me a bit more about your problem so I might be able to help fix it...

  • I did color Key and nothing happened

  • @Skippy647 Did you adjust all the settings, and have the effect turned on?

  • @HeapsGoodProductions Never mind got it to work stupid me. Great vid

  • @Skippy647 Ah ok, cool :D And thanks :)

  • NICE TUT HELPED MUST

  • I cant import footage from detonation films into After Effects.

  • @KungFuMastur Just read the comment conversation I had with Jaldape18 above this comment, as he had the same problem and I think I kinda solved it.

  • can you do this on Jahshaka?

  • @dash4545 I've never used that software before, so I'm not entirely sure, sorry. As long as it has chroma keying capabilities, it should be possible.

  • o: dude you sound like your 10

  • @PiromancerFreak O: I do :S

  • In after effects, use Keylight 1.2 for keying out stuff, much better result

  • can you please tell me how to put the effect on adobe after effetcs can u mak a little cam studio tutorial thing please when i try to import the file from detonation films it wont work please help ? please

  • @Jaldape18 Well, I can really only help by saying, watch this video. If you follow each step I say, it should work, otherwise, I' really not sure what to do, sorry.

  • @Jaldape18 OH, WAIT! I just realized I didn't cover on how to import it in the video, sorry :) All I do, is I find the fire effect that I've downloaded off detonation films in finder if your on a mac, or windows explorer if your on windows, then drag it straight into after effects. Hopefully that helps :D

  • does any1 no where to get pinnacle studio for free on a mac

  • @ElliotsMedia Thank you :) Glad I could help :D

  • dont use keying use transfer modes

  • if you download the explosions off detonation films, can u get viruses??

  • @cutesweetcheeks I dount it. I never have, and I know a lot of people use that website and I've never heard of any-one getting viruses. So I highly doubt you will, but if you do, just please don't sue me =P

  • Is there any way to do this for imovie HD?

  • @saleens11 I think there may be, but you'll have to have a chroma key/green screen sorta plug in effect. I'm not sure if you can download something like that, and if it's even any good, but have a look around and you might find it somewhere. Then just watch my tutorial and it should give you an idea on how to do it (f you even can.)

  • Thanks a million for the upload, the effects on the site are pretty awesome. Quick question though, where you edited the effects using something called ''After Effects''. Is this free? Or is there a free version I can get of it? Looks good, but I don't have it. Same for Premier Pro. I do have a few other video editors however, but they look good for this. Especially the After Effects. Looks kind of vital for the effects from the site.

  • Is there a way to do this on imovie 09?

  • Only if the explosion has a green background, then you can drag the explosion over the footage you're using in the time line, and choose green screen. That's the only way I know of.

  • Ok :D

  • Aha! That explains it haha

  • That's weird... I really don't know anything else you could do :S Hang on, this is After Effects we're talking about, right?

  • Oops, sorry I mean the "threshold" Just fiddle around with the amounts because it depends on the explosion your using, so it'll be different every time. You'll mainly have to change the threshold, but changing the "edge Thin" and "edge Feather" can help as well.

  • Have you changed the tolerance and all that? Or just applied the effect?

  • Your welcome! Glad I could help :)

  • does it work on ulead video studio 11?

  • Not sure, I've never heard of that one before. But as long as it has chroma keying abilities, it should work.

  • Ohk, lol :D

  • Well I don't really wanna make a tutorial just for that, because, for one, everything you've said and done should've worked, and two, my process of mkaing tutorials takes aaages. Maybe if I work out an easier way of making them, I'll make a tutorial on that. But in the mean time try googling stuff like "How to import files in After Effects" and all that, cause I don't think I can help any further, besides suggesting what I've already said, sorry.

  • That's strange, it should've worked. Try instead of clicking on import, just drag the explosion in from your desktop or wherever you downloaded it to, straight into after effects.

  • What software were u using, and what format was the video?

  • Your welcome :D

  • Ohk. Well if you are on a PC, then right click and then click on "extract all files", or something similar to that. If you are on a mac, just double click the zip folder.

  • When you download what?

  • great vid. but when i try to add a video to a layer it doesnt do anything and also when i watch the video in after effects the adio doesnt work

  • Well, firstly of all, don't drag a video into a layer, drag it into the timeline above whatever you already have in there, cause u can't have multiple videos in layers in after effects. And secondly of all, I've already answered someones question about this, so I'll just copy and paste the answer...

  • Well, when you click on window, in the toolbar, is "Preview" ticked? If not, tick it. Once it's ticked, find the window that's now appeared called "preview". Somewhere in there, there should be an arrow pointing right, with 3 bars behind it. Click that, and then your movie will be rendered. Click it again to watch your video. Now it should be playing with sound. If it isn't, have you clicked the box with the sound icon, to the left of the layer that contains sound?

  • so u think that its going to work with Sony Vegas Pro 9.0?

  • As long as Vegas has chroma keying effects, which I'm fairly sure it does, and you know how to use them, if you don't, just google something like "Chroma keying in sony vegas 9.0", then you should be able to.

  • sfaliyg ol4jw5ho4h;gknr[owheh

  • Alrighty!

  • @HeapsGoodProductions how do i make the fire move with each frame without making it look chopy??? lk how do i make the fire move smoothly with the person while the camera is moving????

  • Do you know how to use motion tracking? Cause that's what you'd need to use. But if you're not using after effects, I'm not sure how to use it.

  • @HeapsGoodProductions

oh never mind then i have final cut express it looked lk the same i got confuzled... thnxs anyway though

  • Ok, your welcome.

  • ONCE YOU got the color all keyed in how get the fire(effect) over your original video.

  • In what software are you talking about?

  • after effects

  • OK. Well you see the two layers, one with the filmed footage, one with the explosion, is the explosion layer above the filmed layer? If not, move the explosion to the top of the layers.

  • I Dont have any adio how will i do to get that on after effects cs4

  • Do you mean the video that you dragged into after effects originally had audio, but now it doesn't?

  • yes

  • Ohk. Well, when you click on window, in the toolbar, is "Preview" ticked? If not, tick it. Once it's ticked, find the window that's now appeared called "preview". Somewhere in there, there should be an arrow pointing right, with 3 bars behind it. Click that, and then your movie will be rendered. Click it again to watch your video. Now it should be playing with sound. If it isn't, have you clicked the box with the sound icon, to the left of the layer that contains sound?

  • thanks

  • Glad I could help :D

  • How to do it with imovie HD?

  • I don't think you can, sorry. Unless you can download some sort of green screen plug-in thing, then you may be able to, but I don't think you can. You'll need something a little bit more advanced I reckon.

  • Then can you tell me how to get after effects for free?

  • Well I don't encourage pirating/torrents, etc. I reckon you should buy it, cause you can get some really good deals on some websites. And I wouldn't know how to get it free anyway, and there's always the chance of getting caught, which could lead to huge fines.

  • my question can it be done in sony vegas? because im not sure how to after effects

  • 'm not entirely sure, cause I don't have Sony Vegas, sorry. However, like I said in the video, as long as you can key out solid colors in it, you'd be able to do this. I'd suggest watching the after effects part in this tutorial, and just see if you can work it out for yourself. Just look for a keying out effect.

  • i dont think Sony Vegas is available for mac.

  • i dont have a mac computer i was asking if it could be done with sony vegas. but thank you for the comment

  • actually ye it can be done, pretty much the same way as after effects and premeire pro.

  • i might upload a video tutorial on sony vegas :)

  • THANKS IT WOULD HELP ME OUT VERY MUCH

  • Hey! im using Final cut, and it works, but how do I place the frame where i want it? Thanks

  • Sorry, but what do you mean? By frame, do you mean like the red slider thing, where that goes?

  • Haha sorry I meant flame, but I know how to know ;) thanks tho

  • Oh, ok :D

  • ok i thank you for the advise and idea on animation

  • Your welcome =]

  • hey mate, i am trying to put different video clips together but it keeps freezing in windows movie maker, would i be able to do it with this program?

  • You could do it with any of these programs, they wouldn't freeze up, unless you have a really slow computer or something.

  • windows movie maker freezes up on my comp when all i do is put two videos together, loses all the quality aswell!

  • That's okay :D I've been meaning to for aaaages

    Thanks + Desktoptopia ;)

    Coolies :D

  • thank you so much man

  • That's okay, glad I could help :D

  • nice tutorial! like the Final Cut it got the best effect with the fire :P

  • Yeah, you could get as good as that on after effects and them, but final cut is quicker and easier. Except sometimes the black outline looks cool over the fire

  • hey just found a good easy and ok fast way on after effects have made the tutorial xD no sound :P i use the color range instead of color key

  • okay, cool. tell me when its uploaded :D

  • cool tutorial

  • Thanks (:
