Kinda like that transitional period between the 50s and 60s, when everyone sorta acts like jfk, Fancy hat formal suit and tie , Cigarettes booze and constantly screwing around. Theres also alot of references to shit going on in that era (kennedy getting shot, cuban missle crisis, etc) and alot of like foreshadowing of shit like Vietnam, Civil rights, womens lib, hippies and marijuana.

@420ANALiiSA420 Being 20 alot of the show is just one giant culture shock (so much smoking, the food they ate back then was HORRIBLY unhealthy and nobody gave a shit about littering or what they were doing to the environment) . But its a wicked awesome show, if your into stuff about the 60s and if you enjoy the ganj, you'll def love Mad Men :D
