I suppose to a certain degree you will be correct, there are always those which achieve some kind of gratification or other such feelings whilst enforcing another to wear such items. Because if I were to move to Afghanistan, Iraq, or Iran I would learn the language, customs & obide by the laws of the land. I would not try to install Christianity or any other faith upon that country. Immigrants should respect us too! I never said they were bad people!

You are right one wouldnt be able to take a test without showing ones face!! That is why there are ID cards, and although the girls may wear the veil for lessons, it would be mandatory for them to show identity at the test center, so i think it'd be OK!
Also, I do not think it is discriminatory, but merely accomodating. Rather than complaining that Britain has gone too far in acceptance of other cultures, I think Britain ought to be commended for its steps towards encouraging world unity!

I do agree that many people who live here do not make the efforts to integrate, but they form the minority and are often of specific cultures, rather than Muslims in general!
I also do not think you can judge by ones accent, our accents are different to Americans, for example!!

Your argument of teaching children other languages before English, and them speaking English with an accent as a result, them teaching the children English first would make no difference to their accent, as they're learning English with the accent the parents have.
This is also why you have different accents in different parts of Britain, you pick up the accent of those around you, regardless of the language.

My parents taught me Turkish before English simply because they speak it more fluently.
I will be teaching any children I have English before Turkish simply because I'm more fluent in English.
It's not a case of rejecting the language, it's just trying to strengthen the communication between the parent and child.
