@iLikETurtleS1029 High protein, like market shrimp. Remove the horn from them and feed them raw to your fish. Also, you can buy dehorned freeze-dried krill in a car for pretty cheap. The FD krill are what I use as my staple food, with market shrimp thrown in every now and then.
hey could u help me how long could i keep a peacock bass in a 90 gallon tank i want one but i wld like to no when i wld need to upgrade to a bigger tank
@jacksonjones402 for a 90 gallon , i say when they are around a foot or a little bit longer upgrade to a bigger tank , these fish grow very fast , and if your planning to have a 90 gallon i say maximum of 2 pbass and upgrade to at least a 125 - 150 gall , or if u want even bigger than at least a 200 gall.
@jacksonjones402 I wouldn't put pbass in a 90 gallon at any size. Also, you want to work in odd numbers, not evens, so get 3 instead of 2. These guys grow extremely quick, they'll be too big for your 90g in less than a year. To house them comfortably you would need at least double that size. Also, it research the species you're getting. Some species of pbass get almost 4 feet long when fully grown, others get to 3 foot in captivity, easy.
@MrStewPadasle This isn't really true. Most types of fish usually get bigger in the wild, however, I've seen plenty of captive arowanas reaching up to three feet long in person.
ya thats what i thought the temp needed to be, well i have 2 florida gars, a hujeta gar a largemouth bass and a rock bass and they go through 200 feeders in a week and i have to get rid of some of them but i dont want to let any go:(
Haha yea. They are warm water fish. Local to the amazon, they get gigantic! My tank temp is kept around 78F. I don't have these fish anymore though. But higher temp means more active fish, for the most part.
They are pretty mean, make sure their tankmates can't fit into their mouths! Also, they grow really quickly at the start, until about a foot long or so. They can out grow other fish that are currently the same size as them, pretty quickly...then it's lunch time.
whoa awesome tank, and also nice ass silver bro! props!!. ill video mine, but first i need to wait till mine gets a little bigger so i can show off haha. and also wait till i get my 55gal upgrade :)_ i have a 20gal FOR NOW
