  • Just in time after Kim croaking. Here we come sonny boy.

  • I laugh if it was backwards

  • The XM25 is, as the name suggest an experimental weapon, which probably won't be fielded.

Also, the 5.56mm lower isn't a smg attachement...

  • cool so we can bring our troops home and south korea can defend themselves

  • que pija de xk 11 otro rollo para las nuevas guerras mmm pero la mejor arma del mundo sigue siendo la biblia......

  • Best rifle in the world.

  • @xxwzaebd HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • alway copy from western country

  • @tny0061 lol u fag, america has nothing like that.

  • @joash480 yes we do its called the XM25

  • @clubclanairsoft but it doesn't have the lower smg attatchment.

  • @tny0061 WTF which part??

  • aa really lonesome any one up for cam chat or phone

  • @SesyioKevaaj587 are u a girl or a boy?boy here available

  • @SesyioKevaaj587 boy or girl? boy here

  • so are all korean military personnel using this gun now?

  • @chltmdwp

no, this weapons uning in Squad

  • Go South Korea! Blast those stupid fucks north of ya!

  • But would it kill the terminator? I mean he's a cyborg and all.

  • In addition, the no.of conscripts cannot be increased above a certain no. and everyone knows why.So I can't understand people who always talk about "national security" but oppose change of military into a modern C4ISR-based one .Yet they think that "four rivers" and building a skyscraper near an airbase are good things. And a Phalanx-type army cannot interoperate with US and allied forces either.

  • The general sentiment of conservative voters is against modern equipment, for increasing no.of conscripts and service years with focus on simple infantry and artillery. Their argument is that Sout Vietnam lost despite more weapons. However, there are problems-S.VN had quantitative but little qualitative advantage and corruption was strong. In addition, increase of service years is impossible; hi tech weapons are not supposed to be operated by conscripts alone.

  • well they need that against Nkorea...

  • is that airburst 20mm?

  • @DaSurot

    yes. laser target airburst

  • so its like the XM-29 OICW project the US had back in the day

  • Korea looks beautiful, hopefully i can see it one day without a rifle in my hand.

  • from 4:22 to 4:33 are te world hardest test for a gun

  • shit i want that thing

  • wow people are retarded here. its a fucking support weapon not replacing the k2 rifle in service. obv the soldier in the squad carrying this weapon will not clear rooms, the rest of the squad will.... holy crap. go actually research if you are that opinionated

  • has this been issued yet or still in development? It would cost a fortune to issue this weapon in large numbers

  • In initial service and deployed with PRT units in Afghanistan.

  • 2:20 badass

  • @Titleification yeah.

    but powerfull

  • WOW stop complaining about the weight.

    its a support weapon.

  • there should be an airsoft version of this gun

    I like "good guy" guns

  • US soldiers wouldn't want to go from an 8 pound gun to a 13 pound gun, much less want a bulky weapon, its a good concept, but if they shrink it, it might be feasible.

  • @BlazenRocker93 Maybe the US soldiers should just stop being pussies and stop complaining about a weapon designed to keep them alive.

  • @xGothimox carrying a gun the size of Texas ain't going to keep you alive, its a liability and we could get the same effect as that gun with an M4 and an M203, as still save you 2 pounds of weight for more ammo, and how the fuck can you use that in street fighting, funny how they don't show room clearing with this weapon, because i bet that would be impossible, it would take 1 day for any soldier in a modern war zone to throw this piece of crap away.

  • @BlazenRocker93 Yea, this weapon does not seem to be too effective, but the M4 or M16 are pieces of plastic crap. Also, I guarantee you, no soldier in the middle of combat will be complaining about a 13 pound rifle if it is destroying the enemy.

  • @xGothimox your right, this weapon isn't effective, and that makes my point. Yes the M4/M16 are outdated, but this gun is not the right replacement, because if you are trying to clear a room with that gun, it like walking into a room with an open umbrella, and you are going to die. The XM8 had a better concept that was just as effective with an 20mm under barrel grenade launcher, which was still lighter than this. no experienced soldier will ever carry this gun in a combat zone.

  • @BlazenRocker93 are you from 19th century? wars are no longer march and shoot one by one. Every wars are now guerilla warfare and this is perfect for them. Even in trenches this gun will blow ppl out of trenches becasue it can aim and blow whereever. Also it can change to normal gun ammo and shoot like m4/m16 and its lighter than many rifle guns.

  • @whatthegirl well i never said anything about the 19th century, but to counter the argument you had that is relevant to the video is that, im not doubting it is a good weapon in theory, but in actual combat, no soldier will ever carry this not matter how much you prove it on the range, based pretty much on its size. and its not lighter than most weapons, it is 5 pounds more than an M16, and when you carry 2 types of ammo, the time you spend on the battlefield is shortened.

  • @BlazenRocker93 also with m203 /m4 you cary 2 types of munition and 20 mm is lighet than 40 mm it could of set with the lighter munition and due to accurcy nead less of the 20

  • they seem too bulky

  • @AnarchistActivist It's not as bulky as the OICW. Go to google and search up a image and compare.

  • well the funding for the OICW may have been cut in the US but least the Koreans decided to invest in the program. A very good decision btw since the Americans would rather burn the cash on even more useless shit, not even taking the time to replace the shitty M4 with something decent that costs even less.

The music they play on this clip lol

  • Do not spend useless money!

  • damn communists!!!!!!

  • @kingjohnyb WTF U TALKING ABOUT? S. Korea is Republic/ Democratic. You lack knowledge. Go back to school.

  • @TheHabadu no dip sherlock.....that was suppose to be a sarcastic/retarded joke

  • @kingjohnyb oh nvm. Thought u were serious. I was like DANG! because i also know a guy who says s. Korea is communist when hes Chinese. China is communist. Anyway didnt know you were being sarcastic.

  • @TheHabadu ya sorry about that

  • @kingjohnyb naa its alll good. Its just all misinterpretation.

  • Huge rifle.

  • It is a copy of ilegal OICW

  • WTF? was that a kid in 2:18 ???

  • cool looking gun but the sight looks clumsy and awkward and when they were dropping the rifle it didnt show them try and use it after they had dropped it, also looks like it was shooting a lil low and to the right plus the distance didnt look that far from the cross target. good idea maybe once they fix the sight and get a talented shooter thatll be a gun to reckon with.

  • nice one..

    but looks like too heavy..

    and too big..

big gun doesn't make big man...

  • it weight same as korea's current regular K2 rifle with night vision and everything on. well at least thats wat i heard.

  • Those dumb people say use gerenade launcher, but this gun is much different..

if you are smart enough, gerenade launcher needs to be reloaded after 1 shot, this is not like that..Plus, its not an explosive gerenade that shoots out, its a capsule that has more than 100 small bullets in it and it shoots out as the capsule blows up

  • Pretty much everything you've said is wrong. Did you even bother to watch the video? It's IS a grenade, like a smaller version of the existing 40mm, but with a modern fuse system. There are no "100 small bullets that shoot out of the capsule". It's a core of explosive material that fragments and propels the shell. It's shot with the same propellant system as existing grenade launchers. It's also a bolt action so it's not a simple pull the trigger and keep firing.

  • @DApointman It's semi auto 20mm grenade launcher with an air bursting capability combined with a 5.56x45 fully automatic assault rifle. It's essentially a well done version of the XM-29 so seriously look some stuff up.

Not to insult you or any thing but there just a few discrepancies in you post.

  • @rnjstkdtn123 techincally that is still a Grenade, english is odd like that.

  • I don't understand from where all that hate comes from?????

  • FX Thug.. shiity country? what a dumb chinese people.. u have no tech to build it..so shut the hell up... and please do not copy this one... war? lol

have u ever thought about why chin dynasty built great wall? protect from whom? u need to study more history about china.. real history.. and stop read fiction.. please shut up for all other innocent

    chinese...

  • Schrott

  • damn - i gtooa get me one of those!!!!

  • The U.S. dumped that system, the South Koreans ran with it and then the U.S. makes the airburst capability as a stand alone rifle and then calls it a new weapon where the U.S. military is one step ahead.

  • not that heavy

it is LIGHTER than M249 SAW

  • lol its liek a long range shotgun

  • I know many US military personel, largely Army and Marines who love this gun unanimously. At the same time, it looks like a bulky all-purpose item, not something a soldier could bash someone with if the need arises. Hopefully this is only deployed in battle-rifle conditions.

  • Not much heavier than the G3 or FAL rifles European conscripts had to carry in the past. Mortars and recoillesses are much heavier and have to be carried across all sorts of bad terrain by the soliders, where machinery like trucks and helicopters cannot be used.

  • Interesting demo.

  • @MachinedSound

    This is acceptance test video.

  • The XK11 was designed to be suitable for Asian war conditions where fully sized units confront against each other along defence lines. Armed urban insurgence involving small no. of terrorists or militants is not possible in Asian societies so CQB is not a primary issue. Korea faced 900+ defensive wars during the last 2000 years and weapons are designed to fit unique requirements.

  • yes each contrey or person makes weapons that sute their nations or their reqriment .............

  • You are 100% right.

  • I respectfully disagree about the CQB comment. In Japan and in Korea the high-rise living conditions of the vast cities and so on present a good deal of close quarter combat scenarios, and South Korea is something of a criminal warzone. The conditions *are* different than Middle East CQC. Primarily however, it is the hope that military combat does not arise within the towns and cities. The XM-11 is a battle rifle, not a carbine.

  • Both societies have high security standards. Assume some guy shows off with a .38 handgun..he will either face large-scale fully armed(maybe one battalion at least) soldiers or LE officers in minutes.Military standoffs happened at locations close to sea or the DMZ. Even organised criminals assumed to have smuggled (heavy) weapons never use them since they know the final fate they will face within minutes.

  • CQB conditions will not happen in Korea due to it being a high security society . The security levels are much higher than imaginable in Western societies which put individual freedom first. There is an effective total ban on firearms(even gas and electricity protection devices requiring license).World's highest CCTV density ;some of them can detect suspicious gestures. There are also other issues about which I cannot talk.

  • "Asian war conditions" You mean North Korea.

Korea faced 900+ defensive wars? Come on we all know, every power succeeded on the first try.

  • War has different meanings in West and Asia-it is not about fighting a small no.of fanatical, lightly armed insurgents here. Line defence, trench wars and area denial are more important than CQB.The 900+ wars happened during the last 2000 years of documented history.

  • The insurgency your referring to, are just partisans. Partisans have been around since the start of war.

Line fighting and trench warfare? You mean conventional warfare we have that too what is your point.

900 individual wars in the last 2000 years, that's a bit exaggerated. For that to be possible you must wage a war and end it within the year. 2000/900=2.2 yr span per war.

  • Yes it was a total of more than 900 wars. Check history. There are large ones like WW1 or WW2 while also small ones, such as when an adjacent kingdom sends smaller troops to grab land. The limited warfare thing does not work in Asia due to difference in history and culture.

  • Okay I'll believe you had 900 wars in 2000 years, spanning an average of 2.2 year each. Koreans breed like mice anyways.

  • Just your idea..do your own homework anyway.

  • fuck u

  • @FXThug Probably the number is high for two reasons,

One. we were three countries until around 700AD. Two. Japs always sent their nasty pirates to Korean coasts, Sometimes their official army disguised as pirates to take money and stuff from Korea... Very cheesy they were.

  • okay I believe you, your shitty country fought 900 wars. Sounds retarded but I'll believe you.

  • @FXThug Even the Mongolians spent 40 years to get Korea yield. Elsewhere in the world they wiped all men if they fought against mongolians. But in Korea they spent 40 years! and sent their princess to marry Korean King.

  • Looks like and oversized and overpowered version of the G36. Awesome!

  • very nice rifle... but looks heavy~

  • 0:36 It weighs 6.1kg = 13.44 lbs

  • my asssss. youre a dumbass. the shape of a gun is not the main thing about a gun

  • chooechooe did u look up the xm-29? because if u didnt then ur the fucking retard that doesnt know shit between the xm-29 and the xk-11!

  • but what if korea thought of it first

  • Not likely. The xm-29 OICW had been in development all through the 90's. Development on the xk-11 began in 2000.

  • you sound like another american trying to take credit for something that has nothing to do with you!

  • greeny632 many u should shut ur fucking mouth because u dont even know what ur fucking talking about. ur a fucking kid trying 2 look smarter than everyone else. u dont know one fucking thing on military equipement do u? maybe u should do some fucking research be4 u talk some shit out of ur fucking mouth.

"every marine is, first and foremost, a rifleman. all other conditions are secondary." -usmc

  • well as it appears that i am 10 years older than you and you are just spouting random USMC shit everywhere pretending that just because its your dream it instantly means you know everything military. Fuck off and grow up... kid

  • greeny632 ur a in the military?????

  • chooechooe no fucking shit surelock!

  • thought Heckler & Koch was a german company..moreover its a private company..why would they give out blueprints to korea when they couldnt produce a working product..

  • ikaisa u never know with the us. if the us and south korea want to win against the north koreans and the chinese in the new war. they have to use the same weapon technology! in which they almost did in the korean war til the chinese came into the war.

  • It looks similar because they share the same concept. When you follow a concept, there's only so many ways the end result will come out. Look carefully and you see the xk-11 is definitely Korean-based. However, because it was built on the same concept as the xm-29, it failed to address most of the issues that made the xm-29 less than desireable.

  • 좋은 성능...

  • im not to sure about the airburst rounds lethalty when used in airburst mode sure ur gona be picking metal out of ur self but is it gona kill u good

  • Those frags travel at over 1km per second or about 3200 fps. Frags from explosive devices are known to travel at 4km per second according to some sources. Thats about 12,000 fps. I think that says it all...

  • thats fast mabey being like swiss cheese will kill you

  • just for my personal choice i would bring that gun into combat, to bulky i'd stick with a an nice M16A4 with an m203 and an Eotech or an HK416. but thats just me, im all about light weight and i want to mobile in combat.

  • The whole gun weighs 6kg.. that is 2.72 lbs. .. wow

  • Learn math buddy- 1kg is equal to 2.2 pounds, making the gun 13.2 pounds.

  • Lol, Owned.

  • I've got around 10 Asian friends, and I'm a white Dood, and I've got 30 pounds less then my best friends brother who is 11, I am 17...

  • grow up more...

  • How...? I'm over 5 ft 8..

  • HOw? tie yourself in a tree...white dood...

  • "Tie yourself in a tree" thats not correct Terminology, ass hole.

  • Ok Dick head.. just tie yourself to a truck...

    ;->

  • I honestly don't know how to respond to such a retarded message....

  • ;->

  • You must be one scrawny ass kid. Since you are a kid, it means you know jack shit. So shut up if you don't know anything. It'll help you on later in life.

  • r those scopes really that huge or do they just look like that because lil asians r running around with them

  • The "little" Asians are usually the North Koreans or rural Chinese. It has something to do with malnutrition.

As for the scope, It's technically three scopes all shoved into eachother, and then a compute attached to those. It is huge.

  • sounds like this hairy bastards never seen a Korean up close...go ask any one of your redneck buddies, who've served in Korea, how big they are.

  • LOL, well said sir.

  • the 20mm and multioptical scope is cool and tactical, but it sucks as a rifle. The rifle barrel length is shorter than the m16 by 250mm, resulting in a 250m less effective range than the m16. How would you be able to march and operate with that 13pound brute? It would be hell to do urban, close-quarter, or indoor fighting

  • plus its super duper heavy

  • Holy hell....the scope is ridiculously huge lol.

  • Comment removed

  • One of the ugliest gun i have ever seen?

  • maybe, but that thing can pop your brain out from a mile away

  • Yeah the point is to do the job not to look cool, but looks cool is nice also. LOL

  • i bet this thing is bloody heavy n the sight system is huge

  • total weight 6.1kg

  • the scope reminds me of the original half-life 2

  • What are you talking about most T.Vs and Mp3 are korean and Japanese. They are just assembled in China with korean and Japanese technolgy although the chinese are starting to make some really electronics now. Samsung, LG, and Zenith which is now part of LG is all korean. Sony, panasonic and Toshiba are all japanese there are no big brands that are chinese. Although Koreans and Japanese and chinese do hate each other when it comes to people like you we will stop hating each other and hate you.

  • yea well when that happens i'll be long dead. :)

  • did u play that violent game ur mama didn't want u to play? why don't u get a life if u really are 30 years old.. rather than being a goddamn racist, huh? do u have mental problems? not that I hate guys who are mentally chanlleged...

  • i thought ur mom told u to stop playing violent games dude..

  • hey look guys.. we've got ourselves a new asshole right here : frozenmonkey86 damn racist

  • Thats what I said. It seems like everyone emulates USA design. I've seen Chinese, British, and other national derivative of OCIW.

BUT, I don't see developement or progress of USA OICW. Maybe it'll be abandoned like RAH-66 Comanche.

Besides there's XM8 and SCAR being developed.

  • haha in the end your still a gook, failz

  • thank you captain obvious. I've realized that fact and I have no problems with that. Anyways, thanks for stating the obvious and for wasting my time.

  • no problem gook.

  • gook means country and most people like you belong to gook

  • yo what episode do you know?

  • And Goeetfuk, you don't sound like a 30 years old man. You think just by nuke the asians, you think that's just going to end? so let's say we did nuke China, well what do you think Russia would do? they would warn us not to nuke china because Russia and China is close together. my point is if we nuke them, the WW3 will be a Nuke War. And people like you are causing these problems that makes America as an arrogant and peace of shit country.

  • And we hate American because people like you exist . Think a little small brain. It same as your putting Gasoline on Fire and you keep asking: Why the fire is more bigger?? If you don't get this moral you gotta be 1 of the 1/3 of the stupid American.

  • Are you 7 years old or what??

He said Japan you idiot JAPAN not china you can't even read??

so it true.. that 1/3 of all american are fucking dum? and Goeetfuk give a wonderful example how he is fucking retard.

i am Korean and we don't hate each other i don't have a small penis like your and take a look of all the stuff that you have 70% of all of them are made in Asia . If you say that Asian hate Asian then American hate EVRY COUNTRY. Fucking racist

  • hey goeet the fuck, why are you hating Asians so much? and what?? Asians are failing race? are you smoking dude? Japan is #2 richest countries in the world.. that's only one number behind us, USA. All the cellphones, Tv, Monitors, computers, LCd screens etc are mostly from Korea, Japan, and Taiwan. You know all races are equal. why do you hate'em so much?

  • goeetfuk!!! we are human's you belive in god? why so much hate? to want to nuke em what have they done to you make you hate a human being that much? i will pray for you, and god bless you.

  • can't tell how effective the gun is...a great shooter can pull the same shots with a less moded gun, but that looks like some half million dollar scope, impressive

  • when mass produced it will cost slightly less than an M-4 but I know what you mean.

  • ree so rasian YES WHITE POWER

  • hee haw honkey donkey

  • Nice Weapon man Korea did a lot of nice weps in last 10 years just like Turkiye. Especially the Tank production with K-2 Tank and Altai Tank

  • Apparently

The weapon is planned for distribution within the Republic of Korea Army starting in 2010, making it the world's first army to use an airburst rifle as standard issue in the military.

  • I love how towards the end they play the ancient Asian art of dropping their guns..

  • This new gun will most likely be for light troop support. I heard it from my Korean friend that this gun is so badly expensive.

  • srleeplus3377,

It will be fielded out in 2009.

  • US has been having this technology for 15 years lol at korea and after they stated OICW is canceled well they never told you what it is now.

+ South Korea is to small of a country to go around fighting other countries lmfao

  • Korea has the fourth largest army in the world. (That's what Wikipedia says).

  • don't underestimate small country man. in ww2 japan is small country and look at what they do to china and Philippine.

  • Yeah I may be underestimating their country but, overall these guys barely have any war experience.

But, I guess these guys are our allies if south. Overall on topic the XK-11 is a total ripoff of the OICW program and is late in time.

  • well,in the Vietnam War, the U.S military also think that way and look what happen, 10 year of war, a lot of people die(my uncle die in that war),why? the people in US underestimate the Vietcong and North Vietnamese, and don't go hard enough to win. American may win a lot of battle but they can't win war.

And what wrong with copy weapon?

American use the Nazi technology such as jet airplane(American stole that from Nazi) blue print of V2(Nazi long range rocket)and best of all nuclearbomb

  • you're also underestimating our country. South Korea maybe a strong country at defending itself but, its not a good offensive use of an army. If Korea launched a fullscale attack on the US who do you think would win?

  • It wasn't really Americans copying Nazi technology, they were both developing the technology at the same time and the Germans just so happened to beat the Americans to it. In the end though, it made absolutely no difference.

  • So the South Koreans go ahead with the "OICW" but the U.S. doesn't? WTF??

    That's a nice gun!

  • We're gonna be stuck with the goddamn 5.56mm M4 forever. After cancelling the XM8, the OICW and LandWarrior, the very least the gov't could do would be to give us some gas piston 6.8mm service rifles, but noooooooooooooo....

Anyway, good on the South Koreans for giving THEIR soldiers the best equipment possible.

  • I have followed the development of the 6.8 since the begginning, and blended metal bullets, and they are very promising. Instead we have 5.56 an UGLY FN SCAR... (But that won't last.) I like the new Magpul Masada... that looks nice, but also should be 6.8

God Bless those South Koreans... they will be the next ass kicking leaders!

  • Politicians and filthy Colt lobbyist are the ones to blame.
