I'm not religious, but if I were and lived in a town where everyone is of the same church, descended from people who founded that town specifically to get away from everyone and worship in peace, I would be furious to have a bunch of outsiders come to my church and start preaching their religion to me, telling me that my beliefs are wrong and inferior. This amuses me because in all the church hopping experiences i have had, it is the "Mormon-people" who have the better knowledge of the Bible than most others. Only Jehovah's Witnesses seem to have a comparable knowledge of biblical verse. In my experience almost all Protestants believe something is "in teh bible" not beacuse they read it themselves, or the chapter it is in, but because their Pastor told them it was and told them to think that way.

As for the three degrees of glory, Celestial, Terrestrial and Teletial. One of those kingdoms will be yours according to your works. So, either way, you're saved.

@WayneTheWriter the famous writer and once atiest Lee Strobel wrote the case for Christ, he interviewed 13 people and realized God was real and there were explanations for everything in the Bible. He accepted Jesus and is now a pastor, once an athiest. I read it its great. He is bias the whole time

@jbuzzell70 There are no contradictions between BOM and Bible, and no, the BOM never taught that Adam is God, however it was a theory from Brigham Young. It was never and has been a doctrine. I used to be an anti-mormon until I've read it all and found some evidence that you will never understand until you're willing to trust God. Here;s a challenge, ask God if the bible is true, you'll get a yes, and then ask God if the BOM is true, you'll get the same answer. Exactly the same answer.

The Book of Mormon has Him appearing in the Americas after his ascension (3 Nephi 10:18-19).

This amuses me because in all the church hopping experiences i have had, it is the "Mormon-people" who have the better knowledge of the Bible than most others. Only Jehovah's Witnesses seem to have a comparable knowledge of biblical verse. In my experience almost all Protestants believe something is "in teh bible" not beacuse they read it themselves, or the chapter it is in, but because their Pastor told them it was and told them to think that way.

The similarities are few and those that are similar have different meanings. Joseph Smith affirmed that these similarities and said they were because the Masons had a bastardized versions of the rights of the Temple of Solomon and that God has used Masonry to prepare his mind for the further, greater revelations of the Temple.

@jbuzzell70 I understand your confusion. We believe ALL man will be saved by grace, and this is exactly why all of them are resurrected and all of their sins removed. That's grace. As for the three degrees of glory, Celestial, Terrestrial and Teletial. One of those kingdoms will be yours according to your works. So, either way, you're saved.

@WayneTheWriter I know plenty of Mormons, i have mormon friends, i dated a mormon, i live 5 miles from a polygomist colony. i have seen over 50 baptisms. I can still testify that mormonism is declining rapidly. Ever since people found the internet as a source to find stuff quickly they have found that mormonism is not the way they want to go.

The problem with your statement, every anti-mormons I speaks to has said the same thing as you. They all claimed to live in Utah and got many mormon friends. It would make them looks more credible. I wouldn't buckle to anyone. Only to God. He is the one I listen and agree to. If a mormon disagree, that's their problem, not mine. If you don't agree with me, then it's not my problem. I only follow the Word of God, both Bible and Book of Mormon, as well for D&C and POGP. Nothing more.

@WayneTheWriter Jesus is God, if not, then our church wouldn't be named after Him. Mormons believe that Jesus is Son of God and also God. That's in harmony of John 1:1. A well educated mormon would agree with me. An average mormon may agree or not agree with me. I would urge you to read Jesus The Christ by James E Talmage. (Most mormons doesn't read it!).

@WayneTheWriter Ill tell you something pretty cool. about one year ago i wanted nothing to do with God, i went to church forcefully. compared to today, i am going to church without force, i go to bible study monday and tuesday, and go to youthgroup wednesday. there is only one bad thing, i need to fill thursday friday and saturday!!!!

@jbuzzell70 Sounds like a good attitude. I admire the way you spend time with your church. That's how a christian/mormon should feel. I feel the same with my church. I am not forced to go etc. Freewill is a blessing of the Lord and it does apply to all people from various religions.

You would agree that most the points in the bible are correct and on task correct? the contradictions you say are in the bible can be described pretty easily, most are just greek to english translating errors. the most accurate bible right now is tha NASB. there are too many to list on here but all can be explained

@WayneTheWriter the famous writer and once atiest Lee Strobel wrote the case for Christ, he interviewed 13 people and realized God was real and there were explanations for everything in the Bible. He accepted Jesus and is now a pastor, once an athiest. I read it its great. He is bias the whole time

@jbuzzell70 The famous quote that anti-mormons uses is Gal 1:6-8, but they had missed the point about "another gospel". We don't have another gospel, and we never had believed in another gospel. The Book of Mormon is NOT another gospel. Gospel means good news, good news is that Jesus IS THE Christ. Perhaps that verse should be refered to Mohammed? Their religion are completely different from Christianity? No?

It really truly breaks my heart to see that you are led away from truth. did you know that once in the BOM adam was God. why is that? how do you trust that. and there has been 0 archealogical facts to prove Smith's story. the bible has 20,000 archealogical findings to prove it.

@jbuzzell70 There are no contradictions between BOM and Bible, and no, the BOM never taught that Adam is God, however it was a theory from Brigham Young. It was never and has been a doctrine. I used to be an anti-mormon until I've read it all and found some evidence that you will never understand until you're willing to trust God. Here;s a challenge, ask God if the bible is true, you'll get a yes, and then ask God if the BOM is true, you'll get the same answer. Exactly the same answer.

@WayneTheWriter God told me to test your Book, so i have, the bible and BoM have many contradictions as i have shown, the test came back and it failed, the bible is the only true word of God, and as for contradictions in the bible, i dare you to find one, there is none. unless you say that in mark it says he looked at the mountain and in matthew it says he saw the mountain.

Since the stories it tells are not genuine, then why would anyone trust what it has to say about God, salvation, and other spiritual topics?

@WayneTheWriter Contrary to the Bible prophecy concerning the Lords birth in Bethlehem (Micah 5:2), and the fulfillment of that prophecy in Matthew 2:1, the Book of Mormon reads: And behold, he (Jesus) shall be born of Mary at Jerusalem (Alma 7:10, parenthetical comment and emp. added). The writer of the Book of Mormon was simply wrong.

The Book of Mormon misses that by several thousand miles and nearly 100 years in having believers in Christ called Christians in 73 B.C. (Alma 46:15).

@WayneTheWriter The Bible tells us in 2 Kings 25:7 "they slew the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes."
The Book of Mormon has one supposed son of Zedekiah (Mulek) living and in the Americas (Heleman 8:21). The Bible tells us in Acts 2:34-35 and 3:20-21 that Jesus is to remain in heaven after his ascension "until" his foes are made his footstool, and "until the times of restitution."
The Book of Mormon has Him appearing in the Americas after his ascension (3 Nephi 10:18-19).
