The new TV series "New Amsterdam" is quite a good series.
It's not bad thing to be named after a dam by the river Amstel in Nethersland. Quite masculine, really.

We didn't even go out though, I couldn't buy him a drink at the range, they don't have that option. He only wanted beer because he is underage.

OK I am guessing you stiffed the guy on the drink, that's low. Should have bought him a coke or something didn't have to be alcoholic. Good luck with finals.
