I am not sure I am convinced he is 6'8" - he doesn't look that much taller than the other guys.  Taller, yes - but not a full head taller than everyone else.

I am a NY Giants fan, but I'm a football fan first. Carmichael was dominant and should be a HOF'er. No question about it. I'm surprised that Philly hasn't openly campaigned for his induction like some other cities have for their stars. I think he loses out because Philly was a Dr. J/ Bobby Clarke/ Mike Schmidt city at that time, but no one embodied the blue collar, workmanlike, just get the job done like HC!

I hate to say this as a Redskin Fan but had Harold Carmichael played for good teams early in his Career & with better QB & had he Played in an Offensive Era he would of gotten a lot of more Respect as 1 of the best WR of All Time.
