  • have you ever had a derailment?

  • @CSX8663 Sure, minor derailments happen all the time in model railroading. I've never had anything severe that resulted in a lot of damage, though.

  • @CSX8663 I go to the model railroad museum in sandiago California , and when i was running my trains down there, and on the track next to mine there weer two fully loaded freight trains, one BNSF and the other CSX, no one knew it and the crashed head onto eachother at full speed.. One train fell from the ledge hit the floor and broke. the other began to spark and smoke bagan pouring from enterior and they two guys were devestated... about 2000 for repiers on both engines.... It was pretty epic.

  • I love the flashing lights on the locomotive

  • Only Csx & UP Have ac6000's,Anyway So Much freight Cars Just For 1 Locomotive!

  • @CSX2665 Only 30 cars. This engine is powerful enough to pull double that on level track.

Shoot my railking sd70M-2 can pull 40 up a 4% grade.

  • Do these units have spinning roof fans?

  • man sick ac6000.its like one of mine but mines csx

  • To my knowledge, only UP and CSX own AC6000's.

  • Actually, BNSF has an ultra top secret AC6000 that they only use for covert operations. It's usually leased by the government for use by the CIA, FBI or Department of Homeland Security and used for highly classified missions. Due to it's clandestine nature, it's not even listed on BNSF's engine roster. Only a few rare photos have been taken, and this model is supposedly based on those rare photos.

  • Sure they do:)

  • wouldn't matter if they have 1, this model is a ES44DC or AC

  • Well, it says AC6000 on the box.

  • no dude thats definetly an ac6000, look at the back of the engine as it passes

  • @NJT4111 The model IS an ac6000cw. The dead give away is on Right side walkway & The air reserve tanks on that side. The ac6000 had a big fuel tank (5500gal). The air tanks were placed on top of fuel tank.To go above these air tanks the walkway & hand rail was raised (see by the "B" in BNSF). ES44DC (ES44AC) did not have this characteristic. Look at a model of the ES44 & look at this model (on the right side). However- BNSF did not use ac6000- so in that respect this model is not prototypical.

  • this Looks like a gevo,not a ac6000.and the 5800 series is a gevo.

Bnsf never had ac6000's I have the Orignal run of the mth warbonnet BNSF AC6000'S #956,959 Wired to run Tail-tail without the DCS. if you look at the BNSF roster

You will see There is nothing between BNSF 952-959 which is where MTH made these. If you also look Mth made a BN paint Ac6000,and we all know Only EMD's were painted in EX bn paint. MTh is known to make non prototypical engines.

    Good video though

  • @adam1234a The model IS an ac6000cw. The dead give away is on left side walkway & The air reserve tanks on that side. The ac6000 had a big fuel tank (5500gal). The air tanks were placed on top of fuel tank. To go above these tanks the walkway was raised. The hand rail also reflects this. Gevos did not have this characteristic. Look at a model of the gevo & look at this model (on the left side). However- BNSF did not use ac6000- so in that respect this model is not prototypical.

  • @adam1234a Hey in my last post to you- I said look at the left side- I meant to say look at the RIGHT SIDE! Sorry about that. But this MTH model IS an ac6000- just shouldn't be in BNSF colors.

  • whatever makes you sleep at night.

  • @esiegel76 lol

  • BNSF never had AC60's, just Dash 9's and AC4400CW's

  • i just looked through BNSF's roster and it doesnt appear that they even own any AC6000 units. odd. i thought they did. or at least aquired a few from Santa Fe's order. Its also unlike MTH to put a fictional paint scheme on a Premier locomotive. Did they possibly sell them off?

  • I'm not sure. I would guess that it's probably a Santa Fe repaint, since it has the warbonnet scheme. BNSF's current #5811 is an ES44, which is a new engine so maybe they retired the old one and the newer ES44 took it's place? That's my only guess. I don't know for sure.

  • Even if BNSF did own AC6000s, the no. boards would at least be over the cab windshield.

  • Along with the problem that they dont have AC6000s, this engine has ditch lights, which BNSF does not use.

  • BNSF always uses ditch lights, high mounted on the newer equipment.

  • I'm sorry for the confusion. I meant that BNSF does not use ocillating ditch lights.

  • could you do another video of four or more POWERED mth diesels.

  • sweet. i myself got the GE Demo AC6000 which is nice, but id rather hav a bnsf 1 now that i think about it.

  • Nice Looooooooooooooooooong Train hoss !! 5* !!
