Practice

Patience

Persistence

Stick with it and you'll get better... Practice slowly. Pay attention to every part of your body when you practice.

Remain completely loose and relaxed when playing. If you tense up, you'll slow down (constricted muscles are much slower and less flexible than relaxed muscle). If a certain passage or chord is giving you problems, then hold your hand in that position until it relaxes.

@rs700301 the above responce may very well be right but, from my experiance, in a sitting position, expecially if you cross your legs like i do, and apparently this guy does, your arm naturally goes up a bit farther up the guitar, its just comfort and where my hand seems to go, but like i said this could be different like the guy above said he could do this on purpose to create a different sound.
