  • Another good one !

  • @wildsticks123 hanks Wildsticks, there's always a danger an aerial video doesn't say much but I think the subtitles helped tell a story

  • Lovely country...

  • @thatsmethistime yes it is isn't it, this stretch of the Downs especially so

  • @miniphase : maybe we will spent our holiday in England next summer. Love to try hill soaring (or coast soaring)

  • @thatsmethistime the best sites are in Wales or down in the west country (Devon and Cornwall). The North Downs where we fly is a bit third rate by all accounts!

  • @miniphase : I understand. And yes, Cornwall was our first choice.

  • Indeed I will visit you guys, it seems that you have lots of fun there :D I will try to do some XC on foot, I measured my way and is only about 1.3 km :P not a los but a good beginning :D let see if the weather holds this weekend :D

  • @edwinzea sounds good, yes start with smaller distances first, fly something slow and stable. Let us know how you get on Edwin

  • great work. would want to make sure the batteries were topped up.. Mainly the transmitter that is...

  • @wendtb I worried more about the receiver when I first flew the distance, but concerns unfounded...only used a couple hundred milliamps

  • fantastic video as usual. Thanks for sharing.

  • @foudgeta glad you liked it, we're planning some more adventurous routes for next year

  • Wowow Paul that was amazing, it would be cool to have a split screen half footage from the on board half footage on the pilot :D One day I will be there :D

  • @edwinzea Thanks Edwin, yes we've got plans to do some other versions, and maybe a longer run from the back of a car if we can plan a good route. By all means come and visit us if you're ever in the UK. In the mean time winter is on the way and I have a 3m wing to finish....

  • We tried this a fair few years ago on nevis range ,not as easy as it looks ,i remember we had a few tries but the conditions didnt allow ,but we had fun all the same ..

Looks like you had a great day ....

  • @spektrum33 yes the conditions are critical, the wind got very light towards the end and with the extra drag of the camera I did think I'd be landing out a couple of times. I had to take a long route too as there were frisky bullocks in most of the fields I usually traverse!

  • well flown Paul,so next time will be there & back again? ;)

  • @reverendkrv already done the goal and return Kirk.....I'd like to try for absolute distance next but we'll need a thermally summer day for that

  • Beautiful Countryside!

    Thanks!

  • @poppopscarvinshop it is a lovely corner of this busy island, we're lucky to fly here
