I idolized Sandy in the 60s. Her bare feet (VERY daring and bohemian then) and classy English understated style just blew us all away. That straight black hair, simple clothes...other artistes were in high heels and beehive, big hair. But Sandy was pure class. Very English, no pretense at an American accent, as was the norm then. It was a great part and a lot of stars were there including Rod Stewart with Britt Ekland and even Marc Bolan and Glloria Jones were there. Marc died the following year.

At one point in the late 60's she wanted to perform nude at a London Happening, but she had gained so much weight that her manager said, the crowd would be angry with her appearance.
