  • This is a fun project for Halloween, but if you don't want to waste your time, you can buy pre-made foam tombstones at Dollar Tree stores or other dollar stores for as little as $1 to $5 a piece. The only down side to these is that they are not personalized and they do not come with accessories or instructions for sticking them in the ground. I used 2 small wooden dowel rods, cut them short and then sharpened one end, stuck them in the ground and taped the tombstone to them with duct tape.

  • @smalltownman73

The dollar store ones are small, like baby-sized. All the ones you buy at other places come with plastic rods to stick them inthe ground.

  • cool but i make the much cheaper elementary school version cant afford the paint and wat not :)

  • @googooberries just go to wallmart or dollar store and buy black acrylic paint about 1.50 and silver spray paint 2-3 dlls, cut the foam, paint one side of newspaper order doesn't matter when it's fresh wrinkle it up then get some elmers glue and glue it to your tombstone, cut the excess off then all you have to do is decorate it (optional)

  • great job dad your props are the best :D

  • Great work on the tombstone!

  • You are a joy to watch. Very informative. I will be watching all your videos. With a little effort you show us how to save a lot of money. Kudos.

  • another good way to make cheap tombstones- those cardboard inserts they put into bookbags you buy at walmart are the perfect shape. use some cardboard tubes to connect two together with glue, use cardboard shapes or precut out funny foam to put words or edges on it, then cover the whole thing in glue and then aluminum foil. as you press the foil on it will make its own wrinkles, then just sponge on black acrylic paint , it will stick in the wrinkles and make it look like stone ^_^.

  • @drkreepy1 thank you so much for this tutorial i hope you'll put out some more for halloween sorry 2 bother u so early but im wondering can i sub the white latex paint for white primer???

  • @brodieproductions I imagine primer would work. Try it out on a small area first to make sure.

  • i would just papper machi ofer the fome the paint

  • @EriksMovies I build tombstones out of cardboard and then paper mache them. EVEN cheaper than spending money on foam.

  • GREAT VIDEO!!!!

  • i heard spray paint will eat away the styrofoam what else could i use for it and it has to be something that wont wash away when it rains any ideas

  • Can you tell us how to make that talking skull in the beginning?

  • can u tell me how to make a tree look creepy? plz

  • Spanish moss works wonders on everything! You can get it dirt cheap at a craft store or a dollar store. Maybe some cheap webs would help too!

  • if this aint to much can u make a video tutorial?

  • I could try, but I can't do it before halloween. Basically buy some spanish moss and stick it in the crooks of the tree limbs and hang it from braches.

  • Thanks, man! I'll give it try!

  • Hey man, I just found you here on you-tube...Love your work!! I just subscribed to your video's. I made some tombstones out of the same kind of board. I used a wood-burner to write in the lettering on them and it made a cool aged looking affect. Give it a try. Thank's for all the idea's and again, keep up the great work!!! zombieme2~~~~

  • could you sell these?

  • Keep the vids commin' Doc!! We love 'em!!

  • Thank you! Working on more!

  • I enjoy your videos Dr. Kreepy

  • i was wondering if i could get some price estimates for some of these, thank you

  • It all depends on how you score your foam! You can try contruction sites. Ask a foreman if they have any extra. Also, the price on foam board varies state to state. I think it's harder to find in the south.

  • that is so cool

  • Thank you!

  • awesomeness is all i have to say
