  • Alguien por favor si sabe mas musica de este tipo !!

    es grandiosa!!

    Me Enamore

  • It's beautiful at the 40 second point

  • The best song I ever heard

  • This is one of those movies when the credits soundtrack make the perfect closure for the film. The ending scene of the film and then when this starts so aprubtly made an amazing efect, the impact needed for the ending of the film. just bravo!

  • omg the violin at the beginning is so amazing and BEAUTIFUL <3 i can'ts top going back to it

  • Perhaps another musician would do the same, until now hillary hahn does it very weel and well done

  • @TheRockandroller96 uhm.....lil wayne cant sing, cant compose, ugly as hell, ruins what music is all about....he is retarded.....got famous like that jb lesbian , or rb....those people seek fame and try to make crap, that sounds SO bad, that it makes them famous, oh and the brainless people who listen to them. Real beauty, the real meaning of music stays in the shadow because where it is comfortable, it dosent need fame, its perfect as it is. So gtfo all we do is laugh at ur stupid ignorance.

  • @TheRockandroller96

wer is lil wayne du spast?

  • @TheRockandroller96 then I am glad that I am one of only 634 and also glad that you are not

  • @TheRockandroller96 then what r u doin on here u ignorant mf? Go back to lil wayne who can only rhyme the word "fuck" and whose rock sounds like a dying howler monkey.

  • i love this sound track

  • J.S. Bach would be proud, this is beautiful.

  • The most beautiful soundtrack I've ever heard. There is only one word to describe it: perfection.

  • When I'm doing my schoolwork/homework I always have to watch a movie, and The Village is literally the only one I'll watch. And then when it comes to the credits, I'll keep hitting the repeat chapter button because this music is just so awesome ♥

  • That's the way to do it,that film is the best l know,it raises far above the normal tat on t.v,that's how it should be,if l could l would live like that, they payed good money to make sure no one aviated over the land,3 mile wide outskirts of rough then patrols+gaurds around the perameters, each person exchanging skill, natural barter, think along those lines when the economy crashes.

  • By far the best film soundtrack... Ever!!!

  • This movie would have been lurking around in the backwaters of film fame, but then BOOM! James Newton Howard happened :)

  • I want this played at my funeral

  • nothing is magical more than the violin of Hillary "the hell" Hahn in the beginning of the track and the theme...nothing is magic...this was the magic

  • thumbs up if this is your favorite movie

  • i would rate this as 100000000% perfect

the best movie ever and the best theme played by one of the best violinists and directed by a pretty good director

    yep

    perfect

  • i downloaded this song 3 years ago and i still listen to it , never makes me bored !!

  • Hillary Hahn, a virtuoso, exemplified in this soundtrack, and as preoccupied as she is with classical this sort of composition lends more to making her mark

in demonstrating her seemingly unlimited ability...gratefully

  • where do you get the scores for this?

  • The music made this movie.

  • Is there any way I can get a copy of the extended/expanded soundtrack cd for the Village anywhere?!

  • thats weird....its only showing the number of my views

  • man, i wish i could play the violin. its SO beautiful.

  • Sublime - one of the few musical pieces that seem to be the musical manifestation of life and its beautiful drama - and the exciting unknown (which I believe the first few seconds embody).

  • The music transcended the movie itself. This particular piece that captures and summarizes all of the major themes is so magical. I always play it in my car when driving through the mountains or through the forests when I visit my relatives in Northern California and Oregon.

  • Does anyone know any other soundtrack albums that have the same atmosphere and feelings...?

  • @MaxtinaJ if you are referring to the violin, then you should definitely have a look at the soundtrack of "Creation", found it like 3 weeks ago and i can't stop listening to it, absolutely wonderful the entire ST, that's quite rare, just like this ST :)

you should also check up "She was a friend to me"- also by Christopher Young, has some violin played in it too. If you know any ST with violin please let me know :), think there are very few out there

  • @MaxtinaJ also i recommend you to check up the soundtrack of "The fountain", specially the tracks: Last man, First snow and Together we will live forever, i could just die because it's so beautiful :)

i am sure you will not be disappointed

  • @MaxtinaJ Death Is The road to Awe- The fountain, Arise-Xray Dog, The Vision- X ray dog, Hoist the colours-Pirates of the caribbean, Final hour- X ray dog, Everyday- carly commando, My name is robert Neville- I am Legend, Anything in teh movie Th Illusionist , Avatar or Black Beauty, The piano-Michael Numan.

To name a few. some of them i didnt know the composer, so i just had to put the name of the movie. And some may not be to your taste, these are my opinion.

  • @MaxtinaJ

Not a soundtrack, but a similar classcial piece: "Ralph Vaughan Williams - The Lark Ascending". It's also played by Hilary Hahn. Very nice.

  • Hilary Hahn forever

  • yes i love the violin at the beginning aswell

  • The violin at the begining is just MAGICAL.

  • Perfection.

  • Hmmm.. I guess one person got too excited over the song and missed the "like" button and hit "Dislike" instead :S

  • Beautiful , I love ,Thank you.

  • Everything up to 1:13 is absolutely amazing. However, I usually stop after that. I prefer the faster more exciting music of the start than the quieter music of the end.

  • Reminds me SO much of summers in Slovakia when I was a little girl.

  • @IBiteTheHandThatFed It really was like that? Sounds amazing! :)

  • @GABDILIVE It was :)

  • My favorite movie song, and it will be for a long time!

  • My left foot is on this and right is on La valse d'Amélie

  • I m back Lucius ! ....BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMM

  • i love it<3 just love love love love love love love it<3

  • Amazing. Simply, amazing.

  • This movie is great but they dont convence me about that living in cities is the best, i want to live like them,

  • bloody hell my headphones were vibrating at the first second of this song playing, think i got slightly deaf :s

well i'm honored it was to this soundtrack that i got deaf haha, still ringing in my ears oh crap.......

  • In the dictionary the definition of beauty refers to this song.

    Excellent violin!

  • @fuser241 You lied to me :(

  • Where can I find this song?

  • @pixgirl100 isohunt.com

  • La música de mi podcast favorito!!!

  • Beautiful... I wish this song was on Itunes

  • Добро

  • this movie scared the crap outta me.... full marks

  • It makes me think of a post-apocalyptic world.

    Don't ask me why.

  • @thedudewiththeMG40 ...If I ask you "how" will I get points for trying? =P

  • @thedudewiththeMG40 The song or the movie itself?

  • @ss35523

    The song. :D

  • @thedudewiththeMG40 ditto bro. Love it!!

  • beauty

  • I think we all agree this film could have been great because it had sprouts of interest. The escape from modern values had echoes of Peter Weir's 'Witness'. But I found it implausible. I couldn't believe the adults in the village like Joaquin Phoenix had grown up there all those years and not thought of the world outside. Where did they get their metal from etc

  • I think we all agree this film could have been great because it had sprouts of interest. The escape from modern values had echoes of Peter Weir's 'Witness'. But I found it too implausible. I couldn't believe the adults in the village like Joaquin Phoenix had grown up there all those years. Where did they get their tools from etc Plus it was a little too clean.

  • @Tostig68 I agree. This movie is excellent for an audience with impaired critical thinking skills, but for the rest of us it's kind of an eye roller.

  • This movie starts of strong, about love, beauty, and innocence but then crumbles.

  • @shortythecarjacker it's about all those things.

  • para mí es la banda sonora más bella que he escuchado nunca, además de que la película es preciosa, todo es maravilloso, banda sonora y película

  • ......when the violin talks !......

  • Goosebumps every time.

  • Too bad so many short-sighted people didn't understand what this movie was trying to do.

  • One person is completely tone-deaf

  • only 1 dislike... !

  • From 0:39 - 1:10 is the most beautiful piece of music I have ever heard in my life!!! Absolutely stunning score by James Newton Howard!!!

  • I must say that this is one of my favorite movies of all time. The way the story was built up until the end had me glued to the tv screen. It wasn't that the truth of the creatures was revealed, but the moment when the Mr. Walker opened the black box to show the photo of the Elders standing in front of the Counseling Center. The music starts playing and at that instance it hits you hard, realizing, the contrast of the two worlds they have lived in. I love this soundtrack.

  • This song should win an award ! =D

  • Even though I'm a big James Newton Howard fan, this soundtrack was all Hillary Hahn! She did all of the violin... so naturally yeah it's all her. I wish she had a chance to do something else like this since it's my opinion that the soundtrack made this movie.

  • @bonndiablo

    Too true.

  • This is a M night shiamalan movie... you must watch more movies from him

  • Refined and penetrating, piercing... Mists and drops of water on the grass, shadows and branches whispering... Words fail in attempt to describe this movie. The best I've ever seen. Everything is in here, a Universe.

  • The Power of M. Night and James Howard

  • From 0:43 to 0:56 is the most beautiful piece of music i have ever heard.

  • This music is the most beautiful soundtrack ever created!!!

  • i think this is the most beautiful music i have ever heard.. :')

  • Where can I get this tune?????

  • The Academy Awards should be SUED for not awarding Howard for this score.

  • God! Who dislike it!:O One deaf person between us!:O

    This soundtrack is pure beauty!

  • this songs reflects the wonder of love

  • This is so beautiful! I'm almost crying! :')

  • This is the best sound quality I have ever heard on a YouTube video...

  • To hear this and think of someone playing something like this is almost hard to imagine, the violin sounds like it came from Heaven. . .to me Hilary Hahn is truly amazing and I'm very grateful for hearing music that's as beautiful as this. . .

  • Probably M Night Shyamalans last good film.

  • Hilary Hahn's exquisite violin playing adds much to James Newton Howard's fine score.

  • I sit here now, glued to my computer speakers..for all time.

  • good!!

  • good!!

  • Llllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooovvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvve. . . . . . . . .The Village soundtrack is the BEST of James Newton Howard's. . . . . . . . .

  • How could anyone dislike this beauty?!

  • I think this movie was very misunderstood. Everyone was thinking it was SUPPOSED to be a scary movie. It was really a drama with a couple spooks. If you watch it without thinking that it's supposed to be scary then the movie itself is VERY good, and it was different too =D I liked it!

  • @Eyeglompyou i agree this film really touched me

  • @Eyeglompyou it wasn't even a scary movie. in the special features he says in the middle of writing it he decided he wanted to make a romance movie.

  • @Eyeglompyou I think that has been the problem with all his movies, like Lady in the Water for example. Some saw it as a bad horror movie and some as a beautiful fairytale. Shyamalan might just be a too difficult director for the masses to understand.

  • @ladyYeniel that's so true. i just wish more people gave him a chance, although the last airbender just reeked of poor acting and storytelling, although the directing was solid despite some awkward close-up shots. I can't wait for his and jaden smith's new movie though!!

  • @Eyeglompyou It is well directed and well acted. But it took things in the opposite direction from the Sixth Sense, Unbreakable and Signs. In those movies, the lead denies the existence of the supernatural, but comes to accept it and use it for good. How that ties into their lives creates an interesting twist. In The Village, everyone accepts the supernatural and the twist is that there nothing supernatural at all. Not a bad movie, but just not as intriguing. Fits with M Night's steady decline.

  • @MP197742 your 'review' is idiotic and not well thought out.

  • @researchsiempre Yeah it is well thought out and its not idiotic. Wheres your review? If you don't have anything productive to say, then listen to the music and shut up. Or fuck off. Whatever one your brain can handle.

  • @IBiteTheHandThatFed very weak comeback. try again.

  • @researchsiempre I wasn't trying to make a smart comeback. Seriously, where's your review? You can't judge what that person said because its the truth and its exactly how the movie was.

  • @IBiteTheHandThatFed that is his(and your) opinion--not fact. Shyamalan's films are subjective experiences and require a certain level of mental flexibility.

  • @Eyeglompyou It was marketed as such.

  • @Eyeglompyou i liked it too, best movie from the director. his other movies werent as good though

  • @Eyeglompyou I actually had no expections of it becaue I hadn't heard anything about it, and well I love it.

  • @Eyeglompyou

    Couldn't agree more. Perfectly said..

  • @Eyeglompyou Exactly what i have said since the premiere. Although i always expected that many folk would never understand it. I got it, it's an amazing love story.. M Night Shyamalan is a genius.

  • @Eyeglompyou twist was given away too soon, making the last scene between the creature and the girl, have 0 suspension in it whatsoever. That was the movies greatest, and only flaw I can remember. Everything else was neat. Shamalon has gone downhill greatly since.

  • *sigh* wow this music is just. . . amazing! i could listen to it all day (:

  • @Sangoluv88 My favorite part, too, love this movie and it's incredible music!

  • Too bad this soundtrack is for that movie. I don't like the movie, I just love the music for it.

  • Hilary's violin fills my soul; James's music raises gooseflesh. As always.

  • this movie was a "What?" movie... Like what the heck is going on. loved the music though.

  • FUCKING BIGGEST CRY ATTACK OF MY LIFE!

  • Good surprise but shit surprise. I mean, I was surprised, but it was a shit surprise.

  • Not a great movie IMO but I loved Howard's score.

  • First part is awesome, second one is okay!

  • Beautiful ....:)

  • squeeeeeeeeeeee i found the fav part of the movie this song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Underrated movie

  • i listen to this every day. so nice and such a peace ful song

  • That opening percussion is so excellent and powerful. It grabs the attention and the imagination and flings it forward into the credits.

  • Sigh.... dis song is sooooo B-U-TIFUL!!! I'm gunna tell mah sis to try to convince her teacher to play dis in one of their next orchestra presentations!

  • James Newton Howard you are the KING.

  • the music and the movie both speak love. its a great example of the one universal power, love itself, unconditional.

  • Isn't this "Lucius Leads Ivy"?

    Great song anyway. :)

  • I love this movie.

  • yes meeeeeeeeeeee tooooooooooooooooo i adore this part for real>>> it's my favourite at all

  • The one person that disliked this has no soul.

  • This score is what got me hooked on film music, and still remains as my all time favorite. James Newton Howard is a musical genius.

The Village is my favorite film as well, work of art. Simply beautiful.

  • i looooove this sound !

  • oh beautiful!

  • The film is a true masterpiece

  • Hello Supercali006

I would love to buy this extended soundtrack -can you help me?

  • This movie is more underrated then unbreakable, its truely a great movie.

  • this is as good or almost the same as The Prelude from Bach

  • @Thegoodlol which one lol? If you're referring to C Major, then you really can't compare the two. Is this more interesting? Certainly. It's also not a Prelude. Bach's preludes were often less about the efflorescence of emotion but rather the use of subtle modulation to build tension, and were often of only one part, where as this is a Ternary piece at the very least. Two very different styles, but neither are intrinsically superior. Personally I'd rather listen to this.

  • @AodhEchelon048 lol i think the name is the prelude of light, Yo Yo Ma plays it too

  • Without a doubt one of the best pieces of music of modern times. James Newton Howard, John Williams, Howard Shore are the Mozarts and Beethovens of today.

  • This was one of the most fucking best songs i mean really i love this song since i saw the movie and i was 14 years old now i am 20 i mean demn i was a child and i fell in love with this song and i still love it...

  • Great!! I did not know there existed an expanded soundtrack version. Great film, even greater music. James Newton Howard is a genius.

  • Great!! I did not know there existed an expanded soundtrack version. Great film, even greater music. James Newton Howard is a genius.

  • this is the same as those we dont speak of

  • musique fantastique

  • ANY IDEA WHERE THE EXPANDED SOUNDTRACK CAN BE BOUGHT OR DOWNLOADED !?!?!?!? IT'S PRETTY URGENT !!!

  • why didn't this soundtrack win the academy award? it's the best!

  • make me cry

  • @champFichtnerBourne Me too! All of James Newton Howard's music is incredibly powerful.

  • I listen to this entire soundtrack when im at work, normally music distracts me when im working, but this does not, its like the perfect ambiance to my dull job.

  • Never before has music evoked such feelings....Some scores are interchangeable....this music belongs nowhere else....it belongs in this beautiful film :D

  • I have to say, for some reason 3:15 - 4:10 touches my heart the most.
