The first part of the episode(soul food I mean) was amazing! First time I see Adam truelly happy and absoulutely enjoying being there. the owners, the food, the atmosphere... You can feel the chemistry and love there! What a special place, what a special episode... I did LOVE to watch those interactions and emotions:) Adam's real joy... priceless!:)

I dig the whole vibe that it's homecooked food and it reminds you of home etc, but can someone elaborate what the difference is between this and regular restaurant food? I'm curious, assuming that regular restaurant food can also remind you of home.

The difference is that this is soul food, and not "Restaurant" food, were everything is cooked from a pretty strict recipe. Soul food is cooked with the soul, which is how it got it's name.

The problem when you have chicken pieces this large, this applies to other episodes of this great show, is that the chicken must have been factory force fed and bred to be one these giant abnormal chickens. The meat is very poor in taste compared to normal sized, normally reared animals.

The place is Roundrock Donuts in Roundrock Texas. It's about 10-15 miles north of Austin on the east side of I-35. Look for the tri-pod Roundrock water tower and they are located about a block away. Great Donuts!!!
