did you know that if you want to make the foundation last longer you should apply the mineral veil before the foundation and then apply it again after.. it helps with the oils and the staying power! i love this trick :)

@XXloverageXX I've heard that too. I think if your skin itches, or if you get any odd bumps or blemishes as a result from using it you are probably having a reaction. I've heard from a few people that Bare Minerals has caused acne over time.

@XXloverageXX Alot of people are allergic to the brushes NOT the product....Also get teh MATTE which doesnt have the Busmuth Oxycloride in it.. I use a VERY soft kaubkui by TOO FACED,,but the brushes dont bother me..

@joniesmith I do use a primer. For my mineral foundation I usually use Prime Time by BE, but I also have MAC Mattifying Gel and Mac Prep and Pime.

@joniesmith I think they are both good but I'd go with the EDM one if you're looking for more precise application. The EDM would also be easier to travel with.

I have very dry skin in the winter time and the BE matte just seems to suck all the moisture right out of my skin - regardless of how much I moisturize but I think it's still a really good foundation. Ashley have you ever tried any of Everyday Minerals? I have used the intensive and applied wet with fix plus and the coverage is really amazing and it lasts for a long time.

Would you say that mineral fouundation is better or worse for dry skin?

@KaylahKiller I'm not 100% sure because I don't have dry skin. I think as long as you moisturize really well beforehand you will be fine to use mineral foundation. Perhaps go with a more moisturizing formula- I know everyday minerals has a number of formulas, and I've heard great things about Alima being very good for the skin. As for BE, I'd stick with original if you have dry skin.
