  • Omg i bike in much worse weathers then that with summer tires. But i am a badass

  • I bike all year round and I'm in Sweden. I think its much worse than this guy

  • Fender's are Gay..it's like a man wearing thong's...Get a Nice MUDGUARD.

  • i used to cycle like 5 miles each way to college on a single speed dirt jump bike, it would take me about 20 minutes and it saved me about £20-30 in bus fares every week. Some days i even cycled in pissing rain or 2 foot deep snow... and im from scotland and it rains a lot here.

These days im just too lazy and it would take nearly 40 minutes if i tried to cycle it today...

  • why would someone dislike this???

  • A cyclist without gloves is riding in temperatures which do not even rate as autumnal over here. Nor is he dressed for the cold. What is the point of this video if it doesn't remotely match the title? I ride almost every day of the year down to -15C, 5F. Including months of snow and ice. Car ownership requires no special skills, strength, masculinity or even average intelligence. Allegedly any fool can do it. As witnessed by the comments here. And, the countless lives lost to bad driving.

  • @Tricyklist Preach on brother! I ride regardless of the weather conditions!

  • he is a real cyclist eh...

  • lol this dude is dope

  • I enjoy biking in all weather. Especially as I ride along the bike path next to a line of 300 cars waiting to get into the downtown core. It's all about being prepared for the weather and dressing/riding carefully.

  • Get a car, douchebags.

  • Comment removed

  • @MrKuntly are you for real

  • To think our familes, grandfathers and great grandfathers went to war for our countries, and gave everything they had, and died doing it. Yet there's a majority of 'entitled' north american motorists, who think riding a bike is 'gay', or too hard, or dangerous, or crazy , " in the rain ". I have to wonder what most people consider a 'challenge' nowadays ?

  • @Dalrock1 Losing the TV remote and having to get up to change the channel?

  • @Dalrock1

It's kind of easy to live nowadays. I cycle though for sport and just because cars piss me off. One day it'll just be bike lanes and sidewalks ahaha.

  • Really? They're amazed because people are cycling in the rain?

    Come on...

  • @Exadeful lol......Toronto has an annual snowfall of 52 inches and drops to temperatures of around - 35C in the winter. Its hard enough to get about on foot.

  • in russia i ride in snow, 2 days before i got food. my arms came off in snow but i still survive.

  • @MediaMocker lol Yeah the comparisons here on who is tougher gets more stupid every day. I use my bike to get around town. If it means I ride in 80F weather or -20f so be it. I am not trying to impress anyone. Just getting to my destination.

  • I bike and i live in the phillipines... lol i joke i joke, i live in spalding and the only 'hill' is a pregnant 12 year old

  • is this a promo for the gay cyclists club of America ?

  • try new york city bike messengers, they go through all weather and get hit by cars and other things

  • as the Dutch say.. "you are not made of sugar and you won't melt in the rain"!

Just get yourself some good wet weather gear and you're set. Showers Pass is the shiznit.

  • omg its a puddle what are we going to do!!!

  • i live across the lake in cleveland the pot holes and bad rodes here call for some one who can actually build you wheels..im talking 36x(4) cross...the drivers here dont give a F about cyclist..i tried it one year and thought to myself to hell with this..ill ride my trainer and work out at the gym but im not going to take myself out of this world and my kids world to ride to work..its too dangerous..there is no respect in cleveland for riders..

  • I rode all year threw the winter ice storm of 2008 and every other winter Maine! I would kill to get just rain and 2" of snow during the winter...

  • WTF. I live in Holland, do i need to say more

  • I ride in Glasgow. Every day.

  • Cycling in Toronto winters is like cycling on a cold autumn day. I am an year-round cyclist and i live in Montreal. Try that if you want to brag about cycling during winter-time. Toronto winters!! HAH!! They're nothing like Montreal winters.

  • I know several people who cycle year round to work in Cleveland, OH. I would like to do it but I don't know what they wear and how they make it through the deep snow and black ice.

I would like to see a documentary on this to see how it is done.

  • everything is to far out to be a cyclist here in america.. freaking sucks.. i would have to live in a city down town

  • If I was in control, elevated pushbike freeways would get cyclists safe&dry across town NON STOP.

Wouldn't that be a great incentive for people to exercise?

Hanging above traffic these tubes are ventilated with fresh air as well, and being transparent, serve as a lighting fixture for the motorway below. Heck, you can even make the ventilation push the bikes ahead on long stretches!

Of course strictly push bikes; all others will be crushed :-) Keep on dreaming, I know...

  • @Nomasain I like the way you think. You remind me of myself. We could have the answer to all of the world's major problems, but no, no one will do it.

  • In my country around 1 or 2 million people daily use their bike from on to work. It's nothing special. Even with 30 cm snow on the road I used my bike this winter.

Buy a rain suit and some fenders.

  • Ironically, it's not the weather that will stop you front commuting by bike in Toronto. It's your own mayor, Rob Ford. If he had his way, he would simply run us all over. I will stay in Vancouver safely tucked away in my bike lane, thanks.

  • I ride year-round in Los Angeles. Booooy is it tough!

  • haha, what did he do about the snow they got in Toronto this year?

  • i have a studded 69er in my garage and never ride it, just change the tires when it gets cold out, then back in the spring

  • I ride a hot blonde beat that

  • @deadreck024 Whats his name?

  • Lol, I ride a stripped-down velo Trek year round. With slicks. Beat that.

  • I cylced 7 miles home from school in 1 h 15 minutes thanks to a snowstorm! xD

  • Dude, there are people in Alaska that bike year round. I don't want to say me because some people think that would be bragging (even though it isn't. It's just a fun way to get from point A to point B).

  • wow this guys a tough cyclist theres like one little pile of snow in thw whole city

  • I cycle 100 miles when it's below 0 and pissing it down.

  • only sheet ice can stop me cycling or a blow job

  • @innit27 yeah those sudden blow jobs will stop you every time. lol

  • @innit27

I was looking up on youtube how to make snow tires but they shouldnt be allowed there or on roads whicgh us poor car drivers have to pay for in road tax. No Pay No Say

  • I dare you to ride in Rio de Janeiro

  • that was winter? In my country winter is when you cant go outside without 3 sweaters and 4 pairs of pants.

  • @bebris007878 goof for you and your country. Study weather, geography, and geology, you will understand why this countries winter is not as cold as yours. hope this helps you learn something. now go study fool!

  • @DrumTeknique Dude, retarded.

I know why in my country the weather is what it is.

The point of my comment was, that it is not a winter, thats just cold day.

  • 0:28 biking clunge??

  • please be careful. Please don't die.

  • jesus christ i cycle to my school every fucking day with a shitty bike

my school is 25 kilometres from my house i have to cycle more than a hour through snow ice and shit before i reach the city i live in holland so i often get soaked too

  • Fenders !...lol Mudguards is the correct term

  • oh no water! who cares...

riding in the rain is actualy pretty fun on a fixed gear =D makes you consintrate more

  • OMFG come to holland xD

Everybody rides on a bike there!!!

  • @InventiveButton When was the last time the mercury dropped below -50 in Holland?

Btw Holland is a great Country that deserves a capital H in front of it when written.

  • Tough? He wears a hat so his head won't get hurt.

It is a good idea to cycle to your work. I live in the Netherlands and almost everyone goes with the bike to school, but not many people got to work with it. I always feal a lot fitter when I cycled in the morning, it wakes you up a little.

  • don't matter how tough he is, what matter is that he is keeping fit n when he get's to work he feels much better than most of his work mates.

  • try glasgow in december at 6.30 am for 10 mile

  • Way to go, man, I used to do the same when I was in England, not so much here, but I ride when ever I can. Thanks for the vid.

  • More people need to take up this idea.

  • tough? BS when you ride DH then your tough.

  • @doomboy829 Tough? Ride the Tourlemet uphill, 2 days in row, then go on and win the TDF. Then, you can call yourself tough. I would consider commuting year round in any city in Canada a true badge of toughness.

  • Here in the Netherlands its the only way, many millions cycle year-round. Its the only way to get around town. Busride takes me up to 4 times as much time, by car almost double.

  • hahaha fuckin canadians with their accents...

  • he's Irish.

  • I am a year round rider in Winnipeg, -40, blizzards, iced roads from December through April. To me Toronto winter riding looks like a tropical vacation. LOL

  • @firstling1 -40??? you're joking, right? i can tolerate maybe -30 tops.

  • i can`t see, what them fendors are good for. :/

  • lol, couriers do this every day for 8 + hours. he commutes 10 minutes? big deal

  • Allez!

  • I ride year round in quebec city. peace to all winter cyclists

  • bike hippy?

  • @firstling1 Yeah. All that hair. Must be a hippie mustn't he?

  • that sucks

  • yaknow they could always walk in the winter...like most people without cars

  • i wonder how many chicks these guys pick up..oh wait i know...none

  • @MegaCobraCommander

How many chicks you pickin up being a prick on youtube?

  • I wrecked my bike last winter .. is time for a new one , and some new winter gear.. I hope it will snow , and the lake will freeze again :D

  • well then yr lucky you didnt kill yrself yet.

  • what a rash

  • try doin it in poland hahahahha epis fail

  • hes solid wouldn't mess with him.a living legend

  • wot the fuck, man up pussy, fuckin hell

  • exiting:|

  • pussie

  • I used to work as a cycle messanger in toronto in 1988. Summer and winter.

  • Good for you, but I know some people (bike messengers mostly) who do it in Montreal year 'round. Even in blizzards... So biking in T.O. winters, no big deal...

  • I was born in sunny Florida, but i live in The Netherlands for many years.

Riding thru rain, wind and cold is my specialty now!

Try Tourmalet, Galibier or Aspin in France on a hot summerday...

You will find yourself yelling and crying, cursing at your bikes and mountains!

And when you finally die or fade away you will say: mommy....with your last breath...

  • fuck sake go to London, people ride in the pissing rain everyday

  • @Ayrshirenutter talking about london.. I live in Holland.. the bike is a normal subject you need every day.. everyone.. It's a very popular sport here too you know ;)! Haha, they're talking about cycling as if we come from an other planet !

  • @Ayrshirenutter that is so true, even with fucking snow :)

  • @Ayrshirenutter LOL, Toronto is a bunch of PUSSIES. They can't even shovel their own snow, they get the military.

  • @Ayrshirenutter

    toronto has got colder winters.

  • @Ayrshirenutter try scotland!

  • @Ayrshirenutter what choice do they have if it rains 365 days a year?

  • @Ayrshirenutter ya but london is full of faggots

  • @gotwoody1 With a screen name like "gotwoody," I'm not sure what your complaint is.

    :-0

  • ehrm we had snow in holland but it froze so badly EVERYTHING was slippery i bike round 12 km a day and that time in those 12 km i fell 10 times i mean wth?! the first time was right after i stepped outside the front door-,-

  • How do you ride in the snow? Last time i tried had not traction at all.

  • you need a good tires... probably some designed for mud would fit.

i was riding this winter with continental explorers on front and back and it was ok, when there was a fresh snow i was changing front tire to continental vertical.

  • 220,000 cyclist year round?

In a city of what - a couple million?

That's ten percent, and I think the reporter didn't do too well in math or reading comprehension.

I ride to work when I can in Ft. St. John. Below -20C, I become a whimp and take the truck.

  • starbucks? that's unnecessarily offensive.

boy-barbie, this might be more than your overly teased head can handle, but if we lived in a world where bicycles were considered tough, your hair band heroes might have traded in their motorcycles and not bloated into sacks of crappuccino playing cheesy vegas hotels dry humping the memory of a career that ended once they weren't skinny and pretty anymore. kid, any glam rocker worth their weight in glitter knows you can never be too fucking skinny.

  • yer moms lips and my cock do though however...

  • Pathetic.

  • tough? jimbo makes videos of himself applying hairspray; i think his problem with cycling is that it makes his mangina hurt. if anyone wants to know how tough cycling can be, watch the cyclist dust the cops in a high speed freeway chase in "one very fast cyclist"; your stones don't get any bigger than that.

  • Search youtube for the two letters 'DH', supposing you know how to do that, you will find some videos. Watch them. Now tell me cycleists arn't tough.

  • Asshole, ever try riding a tour? or any of the Giro's? If not, shut the hell up and go suck on a nipple you pansy.

Just because YOU are a weak cyclist and can't actually cycle up a CAT 4, doubt even CAT 1...

How would you ever hope to think what tough is? I feel sorry for the parents that raised a worthless rambling idiot such as yourself...

  • I hope its gonna snow this year, I like cycling in snow xD

  • I've seen in a bike book, someone studded thier tires with nuts, bolts, and lock washers. If anyone wants more info about this, let me know, and I'll make a video on how to do this.

  • I cycle yearound as wll, and in every type of weather condition. Only thing I hate about cycling in the winter months is that it gets too damn cold alot of the times, and im not for the cold, specially while cycling.

  • I know exactly what this guy means. The sort of sense of accomplishment of "beating" the elements.

  • Great report that I forwarded to my friends who only cycle in the summer in Boston!
