I love seeing FL-9's moving FAST. I understand their maximum was 90 and that was only north of Hudson, NY. All the ones you got were probably doing 80 or so. Still very very nice.
The videos on Beacon, Philipse Manor, Peekskill, Breakneck Ridge, Scarborough and other places on the Hudson Line make me wonder how beautiful the Upper Hudson is. Google Earth gives a faint idea.
Now Ive found your videos which were taken some 20 years. Watching them its possible for one to observe the huge evolution your railroad system has been passing through. From the turbo to the Acelas! By the way, what happened to Conrail? Cheers, Carlos Alberto.
Im from São Paulo Brazil. Ive become a watcher of video on US trains. Its been an obsession of mine since Ive never been in US. (frustration!) But its really joyful. Specially those videos shot on this so called NEC and on Hudson Line. Those many boys do it very, very nice. And I wonder how much cold they do face in winter.
