  • Are you sleeping .....can you hear me ...

  • I have the album for the soundtrack, but the version of this song is different. Does anyone know where to get a recording of this version?

  • "This must be the pointed forest arrow"

My little brother loves this movie and he was born in 2000 classics never die. Even if no ones heard of them

  • I love this -- this is so great!

  • I can hardly ever sleep , oh I slept fine when the Movie came out :) QC

  • @chotchcas Of course he had a manager. she killed him [figuratively] by bankrupting him. His heart failure may very well have brought on by her embezzling millions from him. Of course all his boozing & drugging interefered with his attention to book keeping.

  • Harry Nilsson was so amazing - his voice so versatile and his songwriting too.

And his manager kills him. And there's no justice.

  • two people missed the point.

  • I do love this little movie i have seen it in 1997 and thougth to look for it has i mist it!

  • i love that my 4 year son loves this movie.

  • This movie came from the 70's. Therefore it has a liberal bias.

  • but im

  • I get it. He was wonderful. People are stupid. How else could Kurt Cobain have existed?

  • ADORE this song. I have been singing this all day! I grew up watching "The Point." Nothing but good memories connected to this song. Sadly no one else has ever even heard of the point, and if they watch it with me, they can't understand the beauty of it :P Oh well more glory for me!

  • What happened to the music?

  • Great movie.

  • you never know whoah whoah whoa you never know ;)

feeling silly echoing his own brilliant words to himself but, LOOK!

  • Harry Nilsson YOU were a genius and the music, POINTS and voice that you shared with us all is a true gift. I wish I could have met you, but I feel as if I maybe did!

  • this movie kicks ass

  • Forget the drugs , this film actually made a bold statement to kids about how we need to learn to accept one another! Back in the day of Archie bunker and Good times , Sweet songs with simple animation made a home run driving the POINT of racial equality.

  • my friend asked me if there are any movies that are actually good to watch on drugs, I told him I've never watched this on drugs but I'm sure it would be amazing haha

    it's amazing sober eitherway

  • I miss him. I really miss the birthday cards too.

  • you know for a fact this was better than any School House Rock!! nilsson probably did music for that too....

  • I love the animation on this...Very Yellow Submarine like...

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE

  • There was a time....that you were mine.

  • Best song ever. This is a classic movie. I never quite knew what the point really was, other than pure entertainment

  • @neightn the message of the movie was to accept yourself and others as unique individuals and that not everything needs a point to make sense. hence the quite literal "pointless" forest where everything was nonsense but still made sense lol wonderful message and great movie.

  • great movie and one of the best soundtracks ever

  • This was the very first movie I ever watched when I was younger, my dad and I used to watch it all the time, I still watch it from time to time to this day :)

  • great audio!

  • Thank you for that, I haven't heard that song in so long. I grew up on that movie and my dad used to sing it to me before I went to sleep. Brings back memories.

  • used this song for an audition for a musical. Got the lead. Best song ever.

  • One of my favorite songs ever.

  • wel thank you for your answer but the 1971 version i saw did not have ringos voice , unless he lost the accent ... you can tell the difference in the clips on this site

  • The original ABC Circle Film had Dustin Hoffman's voice as Narrator. The album was narrated, however, by Nilsson. I still have my copy of the original LP. The album was played in its entirety on San Francisco FM radio, KSFX, numerous times after its release.

    Ringo's narration was done later.......

    Robert "Doc" Waltz

  • how can i buy this origanal 1971 video, not the one with ringo star , i believe its harry nielson that narrates or dustin hoffman please post an answere on this site thank you

  • This is the original 1971 movie, with Ringo Star narrator, and the music is by Harry Nilsson. I don't know any other version than this one.

  • Harry Nillson has a beautiful voice

  • This whole movie is like an acid trip without the acid. Beautiful, and it has a good "point," too. ;-)

  • @MTGyrl

That's apparently how it came to be...all children should see this movie...very deep.

  • @MTGyrl but it was in fact a acid trip WITH the acid. :)

  • 0:59 Pretty stars!!

  • 0:32 wow.... those girls are hot.....

  • man i miss when this kinda stuff used to be on tv. i have no idea what channel, though. i'm guessing this came on Nickelodeon before it turned to shit

  • anesthezea rules antartica!

  • I used to sing this to my son when he was a baby. Grew up watching this movie and always loved the music.

  • I love this song and video! Are you sleeping, can you hear me Do you know if I am by your side Does it matter if you hear me When the morning comes I'll be there by your side And in the morning when I wake up She may be telling me good-bye, la la la la And in the evening if we break up I'm wondering why-y-y, I'm wondering why-y-y-y... There was a time, we had a time There was a time, we had a time There was a time, there was a time When you were mine
  • I love this!

  • There was a time when stars were flying ... now is the time to fly away and take care of the moon inside of you !

  • Was there stuff like this on Sesame Street - I'm sure this type of animation haunted me as a child! :)

  • I used to watch this all the time as a kid. I love this.

  • I loved this movie. <3
