The Bible says that the rapture of the saints (the great catching away ) will not happen until two things happen first. #1 a great falling away...#2 the man of sin( the antichrist) is revealed. These events have not happened yet. but when they do be ready. After the antichrist reveals himself then we have 3 1/2 years left. Apes are good at living in trees that is why they arnt as smart as us. They climb we walk when we walk we free our hands allowing tool construction which increases brain size over time. Irenaeus' taught in direct opposition to Gnosticism .

and yes, I have read the Bible, but the difference is, I don't go into the Bible with a preconceived idea and then try to find proof for my personal interpretation... I simply bring out what the word of God says for itself by examining and comparing other scriptures, going to the original Hebrew and Greek, & reading the verses within it's own context.
it's called exegesis... bring His Word out and letting it speak for itself... eisogesis is what the Bible forbids us to do (2 Peter 1:20)

Dear gogeta, I think you need to check your double negative in that comment, but I think I know what you meant. No reading of the full of Scripture in its context would bring someone to a Post-Tribulation rapture. It isn't there. There is nothing in Scripture that even suggests that the saved will experience the wrath of God.

but if you want a scripture that refutes pre-trib, then read 2 Thess. 2:1-4... it is the Archangel Michael who was retraining the Mystery of Iniquity in Paul's time, and it is the Archangel Michael who is restraining the Mystery of Iniquity now in our time... the Word of God does not change just because Thomas Ice or any other Dispensational futurist says it does... you want it more forward, Matthew 24:29-31

and yet wile you sit here and claim that the church it sot in the Old Testament, there are prophecies that were given in the Old Testament relating to "Israel" and were then fulfilled by the church... there is no separation from Israel & the church (Gal. 3:29, Ehp2:11-22, Gal. 6:15-16)
that is a man-made teaching... even Irenaeus himself was covenantal in his thinking, not dispentational, and it was Scofield who changed the definition of the word "dispensation" in 1909

Do they not both deny that the truth of the Old Testament is abrogated by the teachings of the New. The God of the Old Testament is the SAME as the God of the New. If the New Testament can annul the Promises of the Old Testament, you may as well find any "god" that suit your particular needs.

no, CT teaches that the God of the OT is the exact same as the God of the NT, shows no partiality 2 any certain nation or individual, including Israel, & calls for an Israel of the Spirit, not an Israel of the flesh (Romans 2:26-29, Gal. 6:15-16)

The CHURCH is NOT in Matthew 24. The "mystery" of the church was not revealed until Paul, the apostle to the gentiles, unveiled it by heavenly revelation.
The Antichirst is setting up his arguments of a Matthew 24 taking away the tares to EXPLAIN AWAY the rapture AFTER it occurs.

Paul taught against a pre-trib rapture in 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4... Christ said, through Paul, that a rebellion would occur first, and then the Antichrist would be revealed.
