Even Shatner who always needs to overly be the center of attention is giving respect and deference to De who really was like the Godfather of the cast.

It's nice to see him in the middle because he really was the heart of Trek.

this was great to see, however also painful to look back to 1995 as a fan.

knowing that at the time the TOS crew were thrown in the trash and Ricky Berman started his masterplan of running Star trek in the ground. i still have a hard time believing that Nimoy's last appearance as Spock was on an average TNG episode never to return under Berman's rule. not to mention Shatner. even when i can appreciate all Trek shows i am a TOS fan first, and there wasn't much to enjoy after 1991.

Agreed. For those who weren't around to appreciate around that time, the Old Trek was just amazing, but sadly, never got the proper respect and exposure given TNG's supposed place.

But fans like myself was always, I mean always yearning for old Trek and its characters. There was still alot of demand and money to have been made in fulfilling fans like us.

*sigh* There's hardly a day that goes by that I don't wish D was still alive. I didn't get into Star Trek until about three years ago. He was gone before I even knew I liked him. The more I hear and see and read about D the more I like him. I just wish I could've seen him, even once. Ah well. He'll always have a place in the hearts of Trekkies/Trekkers everywhere!

Thank you for posting these. They had a really wonderful relationship together and it made me cry to watch DeForest here knowing that he is no longer with us. I am sure that Bill and Leonard miss him greatly.
