hey, i have a question....did you notice any difference in horsepower after installing the CAI.. and if so, how much ??

@TheBlackrainbows88 Very little really, it's not noticeable, just more of a growl if anything. The gains start coming when you add supporting mods like a cat back exhaust, ported intake runners, lightweight / underdrive pulleys etc.

@TheBlackrainbows88 I had Greddy SE cat-back, intake ( I switched to K&N SRI because this Injen gave me CEL ), P2R throttle body spacer and UR lightweight crank pulley .. I can't really tell you how many HP I gained since I never dynoed it but I would assume maybe 15-20whp.

@danthaman409 when you installed the CAI, and the check engine light came up. how did it affect the car? like bad gas mileage or something?

@TheBlackrainbows88 The code thrown was from being too lean or rich, I can't remember which exactly.

IF you have a short ram danthanman you are noticing what we call bogging... especially with the SRI they are "heatsoaking" especially when stopped because the car is just staying in one spot causing the sri to engulf all the warm air...

Which comment are you speaking about, im not having any problems with SRI, it was CAI i was having issues with.

Do you by any chance know what are the best intakes for this car? My friend is buying a used 08' V6 Coupe and he's been hearing that you loose power with some of the intakes. He doesn't want to believe it lol ;)

Did you plug it back in? And did you have your battery disconnected during installation?

My CEL came on eventually a day or two later with the CAI, I now have K&N Typhoon SRI, no CEL.

What exactly is the problem? It sounds fine.

This was before the CEL came on. When you are driving light / normal on the pedal, at 2000rpm it will rev up another 500 kinda spontaneously and then drop back down. It's pretty unusual I'd have to make another video to show what I'm talking about.

It's fine though when you shift manually 1-D3

Yes V6 EX-L, automatic though =\ My foot kept hitting the dead pedal on test drive on the manual when shifting, didnt like it.

I've been having a check engine light issue with this. Diagnostics said its running too rich. I'm probably thinking about removing it until i can figure out what i can do to remedy it.

try the AEM CAi i heard they dont turn the check engine light off.

Well i know some people with the Injen that haven't had CEL yet. I called Injen they said they haven't had any problems with it, and next time it came on to bring it to find out what the code is and to call them back to see what they can do. I have the stock one back on at the moment.
