I'm sure Marty's not the coke addict JD is, but you can see why INXS went the way they did. Marty's phrasing here is mediocre, he doesn't interact with the band at all, and his pitch SUCKS. He's a good singer, but really dropped the ball.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion and in that case what Marty had that JD lacked was a true charisma and seeming like a truly approachable guy that had front man potential! JD was a good vocalist but a selfish performer!

I bought Marty's CD asap. No regrets. JD was a douche. Bad move on INXS. Marty would have got what they were looking for. What one album w/ JD and KAPUT!!!!! JD is a tool and should go back to his car.

The one that came out after Rockstar is called Marty Casey & The Lovehammers, then their most recent release is called Heavy Crown.

They are still an active group, they tour around the Chicago area all the time.

I saw INXS with JD in Austin about 3 years ago. JD was... Easily the right choice. He sounded JUST like Hutchence (God rest his soul). JD was the best singer. He was just a bonehead :-). That's why he got kicked out. Marty Casey definitely did not have the vocal ability that JD did, or at least, in the context of INXS.

The remaining members of INXS got it all wrong in the way they got a new singer. To result to a "reality" TV show to find someone just degrades the band to TV populists rather than genuine rock musicians. Sometimes its best to just let some good things die. Why perpetuate the band with useless crap that just demeans the band name in the end? INXS died with Michael Hutchence and thats the true reality.

One of the members did say that Marty did remind them of Michael and they wanted to stay away from that. I still think they should of picked Marty. He was a much better fit and might of lasted longer with him.

I totally agree heavytime. Marty had the charisma that Hutch had. JD just tried to hard to be sexy on stage. I saw them live and JD was just embarrassing and I thought disrespectful of the music. I will always be a Hutch fan, but I grew to really dig this Marty. In a way I hoped he would win but then again I am glad he didn't because he truly has real talent and could make it on his own with his own band.

The reason he didn't win is because he had the talent to make it on his own and INXS saw that. He was by far the most versatile musician on the show.

Love Marty Casey. He should be a superstar by now! The music business really sucks when you got no talents in the news (I won't name any names!) and someone who is rock solid awesome is still struggling to make it.

I thought his first "Don't Change" was better. The one when some tried to vote him off. He has much better highs/lows, range, etc. thank JD. I think he rubbed INXS the wrong way when he said he would help INXS adapt to the future. Something JD wouldn't do, and INXS didn't want a young kid modernizing their sound. Bad mistake INXS.

Marty should have won! He is way better and way sexier than JD. The only good song JD sang was pretty vegas. All of Marty's songs were great. Their loss! Marty can make it on his own and his album with the lovehammers is great!
