I've got mine since 1 year now, a blue one and i must say this SAMSUNG NC10 is SUPER!!! Realy i don't regret at all to have perchased it because despite it's low sound capacity, it got everything built-in and super slim/small that you can carry anywhere as a profesional or evryone who love speed working computers!

So does saying ebooks are not excellent as normal PC are just wrong!

When im on msn on my LC10 and i do a call to my friends so we speak and when my friend talks 2 me its all crackly and the speakers are fine when i go on itunes or youtube to listen to music its fine message me back people please :)

This guy is an idiot, the battery life is 6 houres, not 4. He said theres nothing spesial about the looks but forgot to mention the mirrored sides. He never mentioned the card reader was 3 in 1 and never even looked at the 1.3mp camera. In Nov '08 (when the vid was made) the price was £325ish not £299.

P.S. The NC10 is now £279.99 with a free Three mobile modem (as of Aug '09)

The resolution is not high enough to use it unless you tweak the UI lots :)

P.S, windows 2007 official states the lowest resolution it uses is 800x600, these netbooks tend to be 1024x600. word doesn't support this resolution..

Even with the newer netbooks with the 1.66GHz CPU and 9.5 hour battery life, this is still one of my favorites. Why? Nice keyboard, matte display (no reflection issues!), matte finish (no fingerprints!), not too bulky/heavy, and good batter life. It just looks good as well. The touchpad is a bit small though.

No. The processor is too underpowered, and there's not enough RAM to run Photoshop well, anyway. You MIGHT be able to run Paint Shop Pro or one of the freebie editors like Gimp or Picasa on it, though. Remember, netbooks are meant for web surfing, email, light video chat, etc... not heavy computing like a regular laptop.

Correct. A notebook is not designed with such apps in mind.

BUT. People ran good image editing on desktops in 2001, in fact people used to remark how good there PIII's were at running it. This computer has the CPU speed from that era. So make up your own mind. Also its memory is typical of a good 2004 machine and I remember thinking that my PC then had enough to do any sort of editing. So again make up your mind.

Don't buy one of these as a all day image edit platform a cheap PC will do better

you would have to have an external CD/DVD drive that does into the USB... you probably can download it as wall thought... and in reply to the post below Spore would not work... the gfx arent up to the job unfortunately ... if you want a gaming netbook try the Asus N10 :)

Well i bought one on satuerday and thats one of the games ive got on it. you have to by and external drive but it works well. a bit laggy in parts but that can be expected

if you are on the move though and need something that is a laptop equivalent, then this is a good option. External CD/DVD drives can be purchased. I mean my laptop is about a year old, got it for about 300, and it only just has a higher spec than this NC10, but does have a smaller hard disk. For mobility it is a better option.

Office 2007 works fine and dreamweaver shouldn't be a problem. I've tested Visual Web Developer 2008 and it worked pretty good.

No. Netbooks don't have CD drives. They're not built for multimedia/entertainment. I have this, and I bought an external CD drive for £10 off Amazon. It does the job.

I have this netbook. Its good for a netbook. Battery life is as they say 6-7 hours. One minor point, the sound volume, on mine anyway, is very poor. And u won't be playing games on it although it plays older games like quake 3 ok. :-) Very useful machine indeed.

Nc10 is known to have a better 6 cell battery than the MSi wind for some reason. It gets over 6-7 hours vs. 4-5. The shift key is also more naturally placed like a regular keyboard vs. the MSI. I bought mine in white because the ultra glossy finish of the blue/black causes fingerprint purgatory!

The black one is glossy, the white is matte. Personally, I think the white looks classier, but I agree the blue is nice. If the black was matte, I would have got that, but the glossy makes it look cheap. The blue is matte. It attracts fingerprints because it's a dark colour, not not nearly so much as the black.

Just got mine today but in Blue!! that's was the only colour they had, I wanted the white one as in the vid. Seems to be very good, great keyboard, there are loads of BLUE logos on the F2 F3 F4 F5 etc etc but I don't know what the hell they are for yet. The speaker seems a bit on the low side but apart from that it's about the best I have tried to date. Still charging the battery at the moment and will test it later.

This one. Depends on what you need it for. I only use it for taking notes, word doc's, internet, mail etc. If you want to do gaming I don't think it would be up to it. Very good battery life "8 hrs" on mine using wifi. But I made sure I did 3 full charges and let each charge run down completely before the next charge, this is the best way to get a good battery condition from day one.

Just bought this amazing little machine...... Was amazed at the versatility and battery life compared to some of the other netbooks. Came close to buying more well known models such as the Dell Inspiron Mini 9, but i am very glad that i shopped around!
