look people, its as simple as this. Travis barker is a completely different style than LP. I love both but... Travis is a showman, he plays with blink and tons of other artists. LP is great, but Travis gets around alot more which is why he is so popular. Travis plays simple punk, and LP does alot of gospel and jazz riffs. Their both great, don't try to compare them to each other.

Using your logic it wouldnt make sense to compare any band to any different band because they are not exactly the same.

The only thing that would make the runs at about 1:50 better is if there was not clicking from the sticks just barely hitting the rims. Don't get me wrong, it was amazing and he would whoop my ass even if he didn't have arms. Still perfect.

First of all you are talking about Travis Barker on a LP drum solo...? Alright so let's talk about him... He would eat this guy hands down.
Why?
Because TB is more Intouch musically in every single sense such as: Timing, Accuracy, Rhythmically (Such as Feel and Groove), Vocal Support, Technicality (Such as Accenting and Phrasing) and Emotionally.
It's one thing to see TB in concert or on Youtube.
It's another thing to realise that what he actually plays for Those gigs/ sessions is there to fit the music.
I've seen him play a drum set, sitting 5 feet infront of me pulling out all sorts of advanced rudiments over his Whole kit; Sounding just like Tony Royster Jr, with subtle differences.

Ha, Travis is not a joke compared to LP. If your so ignorant to recognize Travis's talent, then you don't need to be judging drummers. that kit reminds me of the x7 through pdp i used to have, 8 10 12 14 16 22. Of course there was no gong drum and I couldnt play a quarter as well as he can. Always found it funny that such a talent was in yellowcrad who plays a generally simple drumwise style of music.
Underrated, considering how good he is. He has really good technique. Check out 'Way Away' by Yellowcard, the groove he goes into halfway through the song is VERY inspired.
Wow! Just saw a video of that Thomas dude. He's pretty sweet! I thought it was LP ar first look he looks and plays really similar to him. I'm not sure who's better with the double bass hits though.... It's pretty close.

why do you always say one drummer is better then the other one. neither travis nor lp would say that he´s the best. they´re all very creative and very talented drummers.
but this one is my favourite :) just love his style

that kit reminds me of the x7 through pdp i used to have, 8 10 12 14 16 22. Of course there was no gong drum and I couldnt play a quarter as well as he can. Always found it funny that such a talent was in yellowcrad who plays a generally simple drumwise style of music.

Underrated, considering how good he is. He has really good technique. Check out 'Way Away' by Yellowcard, the groove he goes into halfway through the song is VERY inspired.

LP does the best double-bass with I single pedal. I don't what people say! - It's true. (Smelly from NOFX is pretty good at that too.)
And I like the way that LP snare-rolls with one hand.

Wow! Just saw a video of that Thomas dude. He's pretty sweet! I thought it was LP ar first look he looks and plays really similar to him. I'm not sure who's better with the double bass hits though.... It's pretty close.
Which band is Thomas Pridgen most known for playing with? Doesn't he play jazz.

yeah deffinetly! I agree! every kid says something like "Travis Barker is the best drummer in the world" or something like that, and yes he deffinetly is good, but Yellowcards drummer really is amazing and im suprised he does not get more recognition. hes sounds like if he keeps playig he could be like buddy rich haha. hes great
