"A relationship between Iraq and Al Qaeda" could mean anything. It doesn't hold a candle to the quote from the 9/11 Commission's report, which said specifically that there was never a collaborative operation. He used a vague quote outside of the report and out of context to defend a claim that Maher was cherry picking evidence. Nice going, douche.

Basically, the white house gets reports from the CIA, mines it for quotes that apply to their agenda, then call it intelligence. Nobody in the CIA ever said that sadam had WMDs, hence america went to war on false pretenses and propaganda. Rumsfield should be tried for warcrimes and Powell too. Americans might be interested to know that in the U.K. who went into Iraq with the U.S. no one tries to suggest Iraq had any connection with Al Qaeda. We know this is absurd.

First, I'm a liberal and I AM pissed at our involvement in Libya. But I have given up on expecting Obama to be an actual progressive as he's proved he's a moderate Republican at best. And by the way, the only reason many conservatives are pissed about Libya is because a Democrat did it. I don't know how much attention it got in the U.S. but our government scientist who was made to make the claim of weapons of mass destruction went to the media. He said he had been told to fake the claim. He was found dead a few days later having committed "suicide." Scary stuff.

@chargersblowify ---No, my judgment on Obama is based SOLELY on his 'vision of America', his policies, and his blatant narcissism. While in office the moron has quadrupled the deficit after whining for 2 years during his campaign about Bush's deficit spending. He has added 4.5 TRILLION to the national debt in 2 years which is more than the first 100 CONGRESSES in TOTAL. He has isolated and embarrassed our allies while SUCKING UP to our enemies. Other than these things, he is just peachy.

Clearly with inflation just about any deficit will look massive in comparison to prior congresses. Of that 4.5 trillion 3trillion was inherited. Ya Obama is responsible for 1.5 tril after getting one of the worst economies in history. Am i happy about that? NO. But i can at least acknowledge that blaming everything on Obama is just stupid...

Check out the stats on any government website. "worst economies in history"??? Again, pure CRAP. Take a look at unemployment while Bush AND the Republican congress held both houses from 2000 to 2006, and then observe that stat since the Dems and Obama have controlled spending. @jake5811 BTW the debt has increased 3.7trillion under obama most of which would have occured no matter who was in office since the deficit was at 500billion and rapidly climbing. Unemployment is also another number that was dropping fast when obama took office. These things dont happen instantly, when the economy is falling first all you can do is stop the bleeding before you can start to see things get better. U just dont like obama and will manipulate any facts u can to make him look bad...

He was told the unemployment numbers wouldnt drop below 8% by people who grossly underestimated the damage to the economy. Please point to legislation that killed jobs instead of being a moron who thinks "were losing jobs and obama is in office therfor it must be his fault!" The fact is the stimulus WAS terrible. It should NOT have contained tax cuts but pure infrastructure projects.

In the span of 2 1/2 years he QUADRUPLES the deficit, and adds 4.5 TRILLION to the national debt. The unemployment rate in 2008 was 5.8% and today it is 9.2% with no relief in sight. The country lost its AAA credit rating for the first time in history. Yep, Obama is a real gem. Too bad you get to vote.

Obama opted to jam through his big Government (Keynesian) 800 billion $ 'stimulus plan', and also INCREASED regulations on businesses. Canada LOWERED corporate income taxes, reduced regulatory pressures, lowered personal income taxes, and it has yielded a healthy economy. We could learn from you. Kinda ironic eh bud?

Also canada has the advantage of spending 6% less of our GDP on healthcare yet we managae to give ALL of our citizens care. If health care reform had been to a single payer system the USA would be better off. Its too bad corporate profits are more important.

@chargersblowify the countries which have a single payer system have much fewer people than the US and their people also live under a different system....they work fewer hours, watch less TV, exercise more, and eat better....if want a single payer system then we have to target poverty too and people will unfortunately have to start exercising here in the US....you can't sit down, eat junk food, smoke, watch TV and demand that technology save you when it's too late and that your taxes pay for it.

@luv4knowledge Ya ur right lifestyle plays a big role in americas health care costs. In canada alcohol is roughly twice as expensive and cigaretts are almost 3 times more expensive. Its irresponsible for the government to not collect enough money in tax revenue to at least counter balance the damage these substances cause.
