  • what guitar are you used dude?

  • Hi dude, what this wood body in your guitar? The sounds is very nice. congratulation!!!

  • @avirtualmusician

Thanks! I'm sorry, I'm not sure of what wood the guitar is made of. :)

  • Remember that splitting a humbucker doesn't give you the sound of a single coil, it's just a different sound, but it's not a single coil sound at all. The only humbucker in the world, which if splitted, sounds like a single coil, is the Seymour Duncan Stag-Mag, which is actually made of two single coils placed side by side and united.

  • What other gear where u using ? pedals, amp, guitar ...

  • @TheMusicDude1997

    Just V-amp 2 straight in.

  • are these good in an agathis body?

  • has a kind of pearl jam Jeremy sound to them..I bet there very good for all kinds of music but if you want metal dimarzio is pretty good for that.

  • Hey, i've got a question. Do you think they'll sound good on a cedro body guitar? I have a Jackson JS30Dk and i want to move forward with the pickups.

  • Hey man are those good for playing metal at all? I like playing a bunch of styles and its hard to find one that that does a little bit of everything! thanx!

  • @bpl711

Yup, I think they are, JB has pretty high output.

  • @laripsspiral alright, Thanx man!

  • @bpl711 im simply going to assume that u play 90% of the time METAL. so output wise u should try out the seymour invaders... or u can try active pick ups. try invaders with 59 neck. u still need tone for ur 10% of other music. oh and invaders are in bridge position which is more distortioned in which almost everyone uses the bridge for metal. the neck is 59 for sure just to give it a nice tone and moderate output for clean tones. by the way u shud also try JB+59. great combination for most metal

  • @jameschoi999 Just because you play metal a lot doesn't mean you should use the highest output possible.

  • bravo!!

  • nice job man. I especially liked the split JB sound, I'm interested in this PU very much. from what I've heard so far though, it'd be the '59 in the neck for me.

    cheers

  • The JB is so awesome. I love it.

  • What kind of guitar is this in? Some kind of SG?

  • I'm impressed. Nice playing. How did you rig up that camera?

  • Rubber band and cheap webcam. :)

  • Playing style is awesome!

  • Thnaks!

  • hey man, great playing

  • great demo!

  • how'd you get it coil tapped? mini toggle or push/pull pot?

  • push/pull pot

  • Thanks Latina Queen!

  • Sorry, I meant 250k...Typo!

  • haha, read this one after correcting your other post

  • What value are the pots you're using?...25k? 500k?

  • Sorry, I don't remember the pot values.

  • 500k is the standard for humbuckers, 25ks are only used for active pickups

  • My Schecter C1 classic came with the pickups, they rock! Nice playing dude

  • I put those in my LTD ec200qm but changed the guitar to Ibanez rg350dx with dimarzio pafs!!!

  • man i have just installed the jb/jazz set in my epiphone sg and i must say im very impressed. these pickups match perfectly with mahogany bodies as mahogany is very bassy and the pickups are bright. i also splited the coils, the slugs in the jb and the adjustables in the jazz sounds great with all pickup combinations

  • what guitar are you using?

  • Cheap SG copy, don't know if it's Epiphone, although it says so in the headstock.

  • when the humbucker are split, which coils do u use (inner or outer) and if i use either one of them will it affect the full humbucker tone?

  • I don't know! ;D No, I do not remember. I should open the back plate and check. Shouldn't affect the humbucking tone.

  • Hi, dude! Just wondering, are those the

    SD SH-4 and SH-2?

Coz my AES620 doesn't have a coil tap circuit, and I'm thinking of installing one, and wondering if it's possible with those two pickups. Thanks!

  • Yup, those. And yes it is possible.

  • does the jb overdrives the clean channel by itself at full volume pot? i consider overdrive any subtle overdrive kick in

  • I guess that depends on the amp. Sorry, it's kind of beyond my expertise.

  • what amp are you playing on in this vid?

  • V-amp 2

  • what kind of guitar are you playing?

  • It's a cheap SG copy.

  • Sounds good dude!

  • Thanks!

  • The JB is actually pretty effective with coil tapping....nice to learn =]

    thankyou

  • No problem.

  • +1 my JB actually sounded way better with coil split!! it become less linkin park more van halen-ish.. lol!!

  • way both use full humbuckers van halen used a gibson PAF in the brigde(which is of lower output than the JB) and for linking park im not sure but the guitarist uses active pickups. th jb is an all rounder

  • i know.. fully humbucking JB sounded a bit muddy IMO, you know it has HUGE lows it's actually quite sloppy, by splitting the JB it becomes tighter, brighter, and more crunchy

  • wait... you put the JB in the neck??? wouldnt the heavier end pickup work better at the bridge near the stopbar?

or is it to do with spilting the coils maybe?

  • No, noooo... JB is in the bridge, of course. Thanks for pointing that out!

  • lol whew :P worried i was doing it wrong :P

  • improvise at the end? sound good (Y)

  • Yeah, just playing around.

  • What amp did you use?

  • I used V-aamp 2, which might not be ideal to demonstrate the pickups, but it's easy to record with it.
