He voted against the ban on partial birth abortion because there was not an exception for the health of the mother ( abortion could be considered if the mother's life was at risk).
You judge a person's patriotism by whether or not they put their hand on their heart during the national anthem? That's a ridiculous criteria.See how many fans do it at a game
Those who bring up the "race" word are looking for an excuse. Our government and the elitist have promoted racism and conditioned the people of this land to fight amongst ourselves so we will not band together against them(government, elitist). Think people! If we all worked together to insure our freedoms and liberties there would be less govt.control and more people control as per the constitution. That is exactly why those in the present administration have been stripping away the constitution.
Yes , it'd be nice if we all worded together, but someone is always going to use that to exploit everyone else to gain an upper hand. The temptation is too strong, and since everyone knows everyone else would do it we get locked in a cycle.

We cannot continue to stay the course voting for the same tired retread politician let's open the door to change this Novemeber make a statement US and show the world that we are ready for fresh new voices of progression and change
It's about taking our country back from the corrupt forces that have been destroying our economy and undermining our civil liberties. It's about building a democratic movement by inspiring people to believe in themselves and believe in there country. It's about a lot more than just Barack; it's about all of us brushing off our cynicism and empowering ourselves to take on those that don't have our best interests at heart. In a word, it's about voting.
beteck123 - Heard today that the money for Iraq is to be cut off! It'll be interesting. People in the US gave the Democrats a real message-they've been pretty gutless to date.Maybe the time has come! Question for Obama: He says Illegal immigrants don't take jobs away from black americans...this is true...but the 2nd and 3rd generations and so on do...I've seen this first hand and not once or twice...many many times over. how will obama answer that aspect of immigration?
Correct me if I'm wrong; isn't the 2nd or 3rd generation of a landed illegal immigrant a born citizen? Are you asking what he'll do about American citizens taking jobs away from other American citizens? I really hope for your sake you're not.
Obama talks about change but never actually addresses how he plans to change anything. There is a candidate who has solid solutions for positive change--bring troops home, less government, less spending, no more IRS, etc. His name is Ron Paul.
We live in a democracy (OK representative), right? We want to encourage people to vote-its our right and privilege. Right? Then why are the repubs doing so much to try to suppress voter turnout? The more people who vote (across the board), the better it is for Obama. Get out the vote. Let's make it clear what we the people want.
way to go bro! stay on message. don't let them drive the topic. keep reminding folks that we have a chance to reinvent the way we approach politics. we are adults, and the time has come to act like it. we can make this country better.
Vote for change? How about none of the above? I'm rather sick of having one side of the coin or the other offered. It's a pendulum: Waste money toward big business, or waste it on people who don't want to produce.. Either way it's to a few and not coming back.
If you can't agree with the above, can we at east agree on this: Truth In Politics! Lets at least hold them accountable.
It never happened before in history this powerful movement, people are singing walking talking and bonding. this is best movement were are talking about thank you American we stand hand in hand god bless you all enjoy this song check it out this is going to the movement for generations to come
I'm starting to consider the fact that Congress has blinded us with the Presidential Elections.
We should be more enthusiastic about voting for Congressmen, rather than the President. After all, the Legislative Branch is more important than the Executive Branch.
OBAMA is who we want for president. What these people are doing is amazing. Good job to all of you in this video. I would love to be part of something like this in my state of NEVADA,
Secretary of State(Ca.)Deborah Bowen is from Illinois too! She is the fighter on the ground level who is fighting Diebold and voting machine fraud. Without Deborah Bowen exposing the fraud in E-Voting machines, no vote for Obama will be counted.
So Deborah Bowen is the foundation which makes Barack Obama possible! One women who faced evil to save America!
I agree, I am FOR Sebelius as a finalist for a running-mate positon. I am looking at Sebelius, Webb, Kaine, Richardson, and maybe Strickland. I'm sure there are a select few others who would round out Senator Obama's ticket. But let's not put the cart before the horse; Let's win the nomination first.
Umm, Mrs. Negative...that is your name right? Get out of here, if YOU don't like obama go somewhere else, go do something cronstructive with your life instead of criticizing one of the most brilliant next president to man. I'd like to see your degree, are you an attorney? Are you married to an attorney? Are you running for president? NO, now shut up and grow up.
Finally something great will happen in my time. I was wondering whether all i was gonna have to tell my grand kids and great grand kids will the malfaissances of Bush,The Clintons selling America, etc,.Finally I have a reason to live long enough and wait for them,I have something great to tell them.
I wonder who Obama's VP will be. Because Me and my day were talking about the possibility of Clinton Being His VP. But after talking about it we both felt that she has trashed him too much and would not really do any good for his campaign. What do you all think?
It's great that we have a candidate that has the ability to motivate people to get involved! It's equally important to remember that after Obama is elected that we MUST continue to stay involved in order to ensure that the reasons we voted him in for are carried out. It's too easy to sit back after elections and feel we've done what we should have. The work must continue to see the change through! Thanks to all the volunteers!!!!
This election is not about who looks better or who is married to whom or who deserves to be President or feels that the country owes it to him or her to be elected. This election is about the future of the United States of America. We need vision, diplomacy, good judgement, honesty, character with a sense of duty and loyality towards this great country. We cannot go through 8 more years of the same we just can't. Enough is enough. We need Obama.
Obama says that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is an "open wound" and some Republicans pretend that he said that Israel was an open wound. I think that is the playbook right there: distort and use words and phrases to plant seeds of doubt. Remember "flip-flop" and "exaggerator"? Rove-ians know that a simple message of doubt is often more effective than a complex message of hope.
Obama, I wish you luck, but the fight will be a tough one.
Sorry, but there still aren't enough people who will accept the idea of a black president. It's just the way it still is, and you will find this out in November. But mabye in the next 20 years or so it might happen, when enough old white folks die off. It just isn't time yet. I am the voice of reason. I am not a hater or a pessimist. Good luck.
We also need to change the face of campaign funding. Until then, even Obama is susceptible to the influences of corporations on our daily lives. Push for Obama to create a meaningful progressive bill for electoral and campaign finance reform. Keep up the pressure.
It's not just a campaign; it's a movement!
Obama/Biden 2008...all the way baby!

GREAT GRANNIES FOR OBAMA. YES WE CAN, OH YES WE CAN

Because each comment goes into "pending approval" before being posted. While it cleans up the language I still detest censorship.

I'm starting to consider the fact that Congress has blinded us with the Presidential Elections.
We should be more enthusiastic about voting for Congressmen, rather than the President. After all, the Legislative Branch is more important than the Executive Branch.

I'm stirred up. We've steered into a new day and Obama is at the helm.

I did this for Pres. Clinton, it was powerful
then. The Clintons are now the past.
I made calls for Omama this time. I believe
that this is more than powerful today.
Obama outshines Clinton in every respect.
Obama is our man for today and I'm so glad we
have him. America is blessed by his presence.

I have no personal problem with Obama but as far as I can tell, Hillary is the best candidate to defeat John McCain. CLINTON '08!!!

Obama/Deborah Bowen08
Secretary of State(Ca.)Deborah Bowen is from Illinois too! She is the fighter on the ground level who is fighting Diebold and voting machine fraud. Without Deborah Bowen exposing the fraud in E-Voting machines, no vote for Obama will be counted.
So Deborah Bowen is the foundation which makes Barack Obama possible! One women who faced evil to save America!
LandOfTheBrave01 3 years ago 3
I agree, I am FOR Sebelius as a finalist for a running-mate positon. I am looking at Sebelius, Webb, Kaine, Richardson, and maybe Strickland. I'm sure there are a select few others who would round out Senator Obama's ticket. But let's not put the cart before the horse; Let's win the nomination first.

I'd laugh if the people you registered voted for Hillary instead.

You make it seem like he actually voted against it in the beginning. Which he did not because he didnt vote on it.
He has talked about Iran and actions he would take. The same as Hillary and same as McCain.

I wonder who Obama's VP will be. Because Me and my day were talking about the possibility of Clinton Being His VP. But after talking about it we both felt that she has trashed him too much and would not really do any good for his campaign. What do you all think?
puppydog88 3 years ago 2
I realize that we all have our opinions of who we would like to see as VP but personally, I would like to see John Edwards on the ticket with him.

Thank You OBAMA!!!!

YES WE CAN. Three easy words. YES WE CAN win this in November. Cant wait to get started!!
crazybbeautiful860 3 years ago
Sorry, but there still aren't enough people who will accept the idea of a black president. It's just the way it still is, and you will find this out in November. But mabye in the next 20 years or so it might happen, when enough old white folks die off. It just isn't time yet. I am the voice of reason. I am not a hater or a pessimist. Good luck.
DMuMajor 3 years ago
DMuMajor:
I disagree. I think there is a combination of factors that come into play:
* 26-28 years of Reaganomics have gutted our infrastructure, all but demolished the middle class, and sent millions of good jobs overseas.
* America is sick and tired of the OCCUPATION (not war) in Iraq. McCain will continue it and eventually attack Iran.
* The young, first time voters don't give a damn about race. They want change
* Once the focus moves from the Dem primaries to McCain, his numbers will drop.
bushputz 3 years ago
No, you are not a hater or a pessimist... you simply do not have vision, it's hard to see change without it. We will be back for you...

We also need to change the face of campaign funding. Until then, even Obama is susceptible to the influences of corporations on our daily lives. Push for Obama to create a meaningful progressive bill for electoral and campaign finance reform. Keep up the pressure.
