It is very cruel and totally disrespectful toward wildlife. I have a pet squirrel and hes getting upset just hearing this. They are very sensitive to stress and can easily go into shock from it. The teeth chattering alone indicates that the poor guy is utterly terrified.

I actually found this video because I was curious about squirrel behavior. I caught one in a humane trap similar to yours yesterday (the squirrels are DESTROYING our yard!) and boy was that little guy angry! I left him in the shade on some soft grass until it was time to relocate him, but he snarled and snapped like mad every time I walked by. This must be typical for them... I never knew they were such little Napoleons! Lol!

Just because they have bushy tails doesn't mean they're not rodents like the ones that get killed in inhumane mousetraps that no one has a problem using when they see a mouse in their home. No one gets mad that rats and mice get caught in traps that hurt them tremendously, and can leave them in pain for hours before they die by poison or a metal bar across whatever part that gets them, or possibly starvation. but people see a squirrel, another kind of rodent, and all of the sudden they want to make sure you're not hurting the "cute" rat with a bushy tail. These things are no better than rats or mice. They carry rabies just like any other rodent.

@hailphire130 No matter, its funny the thing making those noises. Also the dogs cant bug it when it sits up their with 3 of its friends flashing their tails and making all kinds of noise. I shot and killed one and it fell out of the tree and the dogs ripped in half almost then the other one likely died from the negative weather/BB wounds so theirs only one left ;). You say your not showcasing you tourturing it, yet you know its angry and you keep buging it and flash you hand around it and all.
@kcpoynter Waving my hand in front of a squirrel is a lot different than shooting it with a BB gun... not sure if you get that. The squirrels I caught all walked away unharmed...maybe a little frightened, but no more frightened than when you scare them as you walk by. Also, I only got about 4 squirrels that growled, that was why i filmed them. The rest just walk around the trap for a minute then I let them go. I only keep the growling ones for about 5 mins tops to film them then they're freed

I hope you don't think you are being "Humane" by trapping this squirrel and relocating it. That is actually the most cruel thing to do. When you move a squirrel it can't find the food it has stored and eventually will die from starvation. It is more humane just to shoot the damn thing instead of letting it suffer. Just sayin....

I hope you don't think you are being "Humane" by trapping this squirrel and relocating it. That is actually the most cruel thing to do. When you move a squirrel it can't find the food it has stored and eventually will die from starvation. It is more humane just to shoot the damn thing instead of letting it suffer. Just sayin....

Haha, wow did he run. I love squirrels, but the capture was temporary and no harm done. He got a snack and a scare, but that was it. It's not nearly as bad as some people.
