  • I swear to God if you 'undo' one more time...

  • You should consider making the brush size smaller, and lowering the opacity to about 60%. It would make it alot easier..

  • i found it useless

    i only like the games

  • do you need the "touch" part for anything? bamboo Pen is cheaper than Pen & Touch

  • @Yoni123 I am not too sure because I haven't used either of the versions but I don't think the "touch" function should affect the drawings itself. The touch is probably more for ease of use and accessibility. But I would still do some research on google or something just to be sure.

  • @Yoni123 I have a bamboo pen and touch; personally, the touch function is annoying. I keep it off. It's not particularly any helpful.

  • @Angeles33175 Ah I didn't know that either

  • @Yoni123

as far as i know, the bamboo pen have less sensitivity than the bamboo pen and touch, checkout that, and the touch function works almost the same as the trackpad for the macbook pro, i thinks it's kind of useful for some shortcuts like the zoom and rotate, but chek wich version of bamboo pen and touch do you buy, because the new one it's multitouch and recognize up to 4 fingers, while older versions only supports to fingers. Sorry for my bad english, i hope i could help you

  • Comment removed

  • @Yoni123 The touch part allows you to manipulate things with the pressure you put on the pen.

Like line thickness, opacity and a bunch of other things you can configure.

  • @TheRexDark you don't need the Bamboo Pen & Touch for that. The original Bamboo Pen tablet works like that also.

  • Cant wait until i get my Bamboo Tablet >:)

  • how did you do that?? My bamboo pen is always horrendously shaky! My hands don't shake either! :I

  • @PlatinumFireOrchid LOL Don't worry about it, it happens...What i learned is that when you are sketching, do quick small strokes...Don't be afraid of a messy/sketchy picture because you can always clear it up with an eraser later on...As for coloring, zoom in a little and do it slowly, and when you get enough practice, just go crazy with it :)...Hope I helped... XD

  • @Niloy13579 Thanks so much! Yeah that helps a lot.. I guess I just have to get used to the tablet XDD because before my bamboo I used a genius mousepen 8x6 and a kanvus artist 127 (both of which suck XDD)

  • @PlatinumFireOrchid Lol anytime...Yes, it is a big step moving up to Wacom's...They are truly something else :) If you need any more help, you are welcome to ask...

  • if i were to get the bamboo touch would it still make it easier to draw or should i get the bamboo pen and touch?

  • @cloneman184 I really don't know the difference between both but in order to draw, I would get the bamboo pen and touch because it has the pen while the touch doesn't? (I'm not sure whether the "Touch" has the pen also)

If both versions of the tablet does come with the Pen, the concept of drawing should be the same on both.

Hope I helped, and any more questions, feel free to ask. :)

  • @DJPeteJames i just got a tablet today and i was thinking this, but after a couple hours of using it it gets easier, and i think an easy way of drawing is just zoom it in more

  • Wacom Cintiq will cut your time in half, at least. Been there, saved lots of time.

  • @lokkentoons Kinda expensive though, mate...Really want one though :(...DSLR expenses kinda making it hard for the Clintiq department :P

  • @DJPeteJames And also, Wacom does have tablet's similar to what you want. They have the Cintiq line of tablets where the tablet is like an actual monitor, meaning it shows the monitor on the tablet (almost like a tablet PC but for digital drawing). However, that being said, they are quite expensive. The cheapest one is about $900. So if you have the money, go for it :)

Ask away if you have any more concerns :)

  • @DJPeteJames Hey man...Well, it is all in the amount of practice you get. The surface of the laptop is a direct translation of the monitor from corner to corner. At first, it will be very difficult, but overtime, you learn to get used to moving your hands where your eyes are looking...for example, when you look at a certain point in the screen, your hand will move right there (with enough practice). It is difficult at first, but trust me, it gets really easy over time...

  • geez! what's the use of pen tablet if you only trace it in photoshop, i may use 'pen tool' instead to make life easier. the tablet supposed to be make digital artist life much more easier and saves a lot of time.

  • atleast i liked the video :D

  • @tallyhoman911 Much appreciated :)...

  • how often do you have to replace the nib things? and are they expensive? and whats the disadantage of using the pen and touch versus the wacom intuious versiions of there graphics tablets? are there any drawbacks to the pen and touch vs the other models other then im sure size?

  • OMG!!! your so fucking annoying to watch, every line you do you erase, over and over and over again! Go slow quit trying to rush through! ___________ erase __________ erase, you erase some of the good ones and leave the shitty ones?

  • do you have a kind of plug in for the bamboo to work with photoshop?? where did you get it???

  • @mangkyou Actually, the bamboo will work with any software without any plugins...You just have to download the driver from your website and you are good to go...Its a tablet and it just changes the way your mouse acts, meaning a tablet is basically a much more accurate and easier to use mouse...So no plugins necessary for it work with anything...It can be used anywhere a normal mouse can be used...Let me know if you have any more questions...

  • @Niloy135790 i have a question can it help you make sprite sheets like for a video game cuz i want to know because you said it was mor accurate

  • I think that you are good at this, however, the clip frame posted (for when you search) looks like an anorxic woman with her shirt pulled partway up, lol now I see that's a bandana and a nose close up. Yeah I'm strange. But good job, I watched the entire thing!

  • @kissyhot1 LOL, no your not strange, that's a 'unique' way to look at it...Hopefully you didnt click it because of the thumbnail picture :)...but thanks for the comment :D

  • which bamboo?

  • @3l3phantz Sorry for the late reply, but umm this is the bamboo standard...The first one that came out...The flat black one...

  • if only you had talent

  • nice channel and cool videos ....check mine too :)

  • metal gear so0lid?

  • bored

  • Wow, you're making lines so straight...I see a lot of talented ppl able to that. Is that due to experience or are you using smthing to keep those lines so straight??

  • @damaged2 Yes, yes, sarcasm understood =)...but this video is more than 2 years old and I have improved...

  • @Niloy135790 Haha, nono, I'm serious

  • @Niloy135790 I liked your reply tho =]

  • @damaged2 Thank you =)...This video is from like the first week of getting the tablet and just practicing over time improves you a lot...

  • @Niloy135790 Ohh I see I see - Yeah I realized it last ngiht, haha. I was going over a favourite pic of mine and somewhat got it, hehe. Thanks =]

Got more practicing to do, and have to work on the paints now..haha

  • @damaged2 Lol...Painting is actually the hardest part in my opinion, and requires the most practice...Ive been practicing for a year now and my sense of color combination still hasn't developed perfectly...

  • @Niloy135790 Yeah it seems so haha. I plan on drawing random objects or ppl with my tablet...hopefully that'll make things "easier".

  • @damaged2 Wish you all the best bro...Keep me updated =)

  • @Niloy135790 lol you can't get anything perfect in one year

  • @ManOfSteel2627 Your probably right... =)

  • Wtf ?

  • niloy, do you lose track of where you are drawing sometimes when using the wacom tablet? I think there is no screen on it so I'm not sure if I should buy it or not. Is it easy to use?

  • @GameSchoolBus Its sort of hard to explain. At first, when I got the tablet, i tried to trace as you can see and tried to follow the lines "slowly". Hence why sometimes I lose tracks of the lines. But after 1 - 2 weeks of use, it really doesn't bother you because you get used to it. The monitor is EXACTLY translated into the tablet, meaning the tablet's right corner is your monitor's right corner. So as long as you get used to staring at the screen and drawing, then there's no problem.

  • @Niloy135790 I see, I am about to place my order. It gets easy if you just zoom in right? Thank you for your help!

  • @GameSchoolBus Sure buddy, no problem, glad to help...It definitely gets easy if you zoom in...But from my research and practice, the best thing to do is layout your basic design/sketch while you are zoomed out and then zoom in to add the finer details...if you are interested, you can search videos of this tablet in youtube...They have some true masters here...

  • @Niloy135790 Thank you SO much Niloy, I have just bought it yesterday! I really am looking forward to be as talented as you!

  • @GameSchoolBus No problem bro...I'm sure your going to love it...Let me know if you need to know anything else...

PS: When are you getting it btw?

  • @Niloy135790 not sure but I ordered it from walmart so it should be soon.

  • @GameSchoolBus Great! Looking forward to your awesome videos...

  • @GameSchoolBus Let me know if you need anymore help...

  • Anyone can trace a picture.... bro

  • How is it that the tablets with monitors on them are more expensive than many laptops? Laptops are capable of doing so much more... Ugghhh. I can't afford one!!!

  • I really hope I get a Wacom tablet for my birthday....! So for the past few days, I've been looking at those videos telling myself "ahhh....I so want it..."

If I dont get it for my borthday, I'll buy it myself....an't live without at least TRYING to use a tablet.

  • @Mowaie Can't go wrong with wacom bro...Thing about wacoms is that even the cheapest one will leave you satisfied...and the higher end ones provide like the best digital drawing experience (if you can afford one)...

  • SNAAKKKKKKKKEEEEEEEEEEEE

How do you draw without the picture physically on the tablet?

  • @iamemod really tough when your first starting out lol...you kinda have to stare at the screen and not look at the tablet...and kinda let your eyes do the drawing while your hands follow...

  • @Niloy135790 okay Thanks :)

I got the practice exercise with the x's and circles.

    Wow, I failed a lot.

    5 stars.

Oh wait new youtube doesnt give 5 stars.

    Gay.

  • @iamemod Can't wait to see some of your works bro...

  • Nice..

Im like you, i cant seem to work out how people draw from scratch and get it so proportinaly correct? I always trace my pictures but i would like to know how to sketch my drawings instead of tracing

  • Yeah, some real talent out there....but if your interested, i have another video up (the link is on the description) where i sketch-trace a picture....

  • that wacom bamboo is compatible with xp

  • @pivot3salsa Yes it is...as of now, i am using it with xp....

  • yo guys i've got a bamboo fun but when i go on photoshop it doesn't scale correctly i get on the top left hand corner

    PLease he^lp

  • if you want to draw from scratch i recommend checking out sketchbook pro. it gives you a real sketchy feel that you can clean up in photoshop after for coloring and stuff

  • The same sketchbook pro from autodesk? Perhaps I should give it a try after all...Thank you

  • hey i think i saw this hot lesbian chick at...., psyche hahah you thought i was a spammer lol. shoulda seen yo face. nice vid btw

  • nice vid dude. It's good practice to use this method. I don't personally because I scan my drawings and just use photoshop to edit. maybe these fucking stupid ass loosers should just get a life rather than try to find people on youtube to put down.

  • Thanks a lot man....the reason I try not to scan and edit my drawings is that I see so many people just start drawing from scratch using their tablets and I really want to do that...

  • anyone could do that

  • all this time spent tracing in photoshop should be spend learning how to properly draw

  • ant noob can trace on photoshop.......

  • never ONCE did i say i was good, but i could do just as good as that if i traced in photoshop. i have never traced anything and posted it on youtube. and when you say my art is garbage, i know its because you want to make me feel bad. i may not be the best, but i am definetly not a low life loser who makes fun of people becase theyre stating a fact.

  • lol, its okay guys, dont worry about it...he was just expressing his opinion which is totally kool...just enjoy the video...

  • @Niloy135790 Your video was sick! I loved it....!!!!

  • @TheLoneWolf52 Thanks a lot!... :)

  • I'm trying to make you feel bad, and what are you doing to Niloy? See the issue is your disrespect of something that the VOID of opinion. He made no claims, he simple demonstrated something. And you made a sly snarky comment. That's fucked.

  • Thanks a lot for the backup bro, really appreciate it!

  • @mykittytoby lol "ant noob"

  • @seepauliedie ROFL...

  • so with this pad i saw a video where he was writing stuff lik notes on paper but through the computer

is it possible to do this lets say for college and u have ur laptop u plug it in then start writing with one of the softwares they give u can u do this

    lik college notes and stuff

  • yeah but it is faster to type, but yes, you can

  • Yes you can. The Bamboo can do that, edit photos and what not for presentations, you can use it as a mouse on the computer, all kinds of things. It's really a nice piece of equipment.

  • and now try to draw your own snake ^^

  • I wanna upload a new video, its just when i try to record, computer lags up like crazy...i have gotten a lot better since my initial stages though

  • you're usyng bamboo fun or bamboo wacom ?????

  • Bamboo wacom...not bamboo fun...

  • what's the difference between bamboo fun and bamboo wacom ??

  • OMG I FUCKN LOVE METAL GEAR SOLID SNAKE EATER!!! its very hard tho

  • hellyeah...especially if ur trying to get no alerts...but the ending by itself is worth it =P

Needless to see, it is ownage and one of the best PS2 games...EVER!

  • but on the Wacoms Tablet you don't see wath you draw ON the wacom tablet don't you? i know some of them haves but... ¿some of them don't?

great work i have the MGS2 for pc now XD really great game

  • On the cheap ones, no, you dont see what you draw

However on the expensive ones, that are 1000 dollars or up, you see it in the tablet

So unless you are willing to cash in a thousand bucks on a tablet...your outta luck =P

  • i don't care now, i just buy one cheap and that is all, just need to learn drawing without seeing it :P and of course i can see it on the PC XD

  • my logic exactly, and thats exactly what i did, bought a cheap one to improve my skills on a tablet (which i found it is TOTALLY different from drawing on paper)

And if i think im good enough, than ill spend money on a clintiq....but don't underestimate the cheap one either...it can create masterpieces...

    check out my faust's page - co23ghttoe

He is truly incredible with the tablet

  • "Master Pieces" you're right

    co23ghttoe it's a channel from youtube?

  • Yup, just search it in youtube and you should see it

  • ok im going check it out Thanks ;)

  • Cintiq...not Clintiq lol XD

  • Just like your mouse...

  • hell yeah you're right :P it wont be so dificult

  • hey there grat work by th way i hav tried this tracing thing im using photoshop cs3 and im having trouble with the layers when i get the image i wanna trace i open a new one put it to the bottom of the image i wanna trace and start to trace and nothing is transfering to the blank layer

    any advice

  • I believe you have to lower the opacity on the layer with the picture...and then select the blank layer and draw on it...occasionally, click the eye next to the layer with the picture so u can check your progress on the tracing

Tracing is mostly helpful when you want to recolor the picture yourself, i didnt show that here....

  • can you put a paper on the tablet and trace through? or does it have to be directly "on" the tablet

  • never tried it, but may damage the pen tip if u trace on direct paper, i have no idea....but if it is a SMOOTH and THIN paper, put it over the tablet and give it a try.....

  • I'm thinking of getting a tablet, but I'm afraid the usb plug will be too short for my pc. The usb drive in my pc's monitor is in the back, so what should I do if it's too short?

  • Well, the USB plug is separate from the tablet meaning you can completely take it out. So your best bet would be to either get a longer USB cable or a USB extension cable...

  • i got a question does every drawing pad have a screen cause i found for about 49$ in directfactory in canada and i dont know if it has a screen to view my photoshop

  • 1 - Very few tablets have a screen where you can directly view the pad (meaning the monitor is visible on the tablet surface). The only model that i know of that does is the Wacom Clintiq line...

2 - If your getting it for $49, i highly doubt that it will have a screen, mind you, im pretty sure it doesn't have a screen. The models with screen are very expensive...Example - Clintiqs are all $1000 or up

  • ty s

  • @PrincessHKD, I believe the wacom bamboo tablets cord is 5 feet long, if you have a problem with that you should seriously consider changing your setup. :P

  • Okay thank you I thought it was shorter than that XD

  • in some stores you can buy "USB-extenders" i don't know how they're called in english... but its just a cable which has a connector to the PC on one side, and a connector for your tablet on the other side :)

  • okay thank you :) I'm always worried when I buy something expensive. XD

  • But yeah, like Draigilth said, the stock cord by wacom should be enough for you...and even if it didn't there is always cheaper solutions like Cult1022 said...so no worries....

  • ok thank you! ^^

  • Well i have this tablet (after my mother broke the old one) but i have the same problem that i had with my old one.. the tip of the pen is slowly dissapearing.. Is there anything i can do for that? apart from using lower pressure cause i allready use the lowest possible pressure..

  • It is common with this tablet due to its paper-like texture, the best solution to the problem is to buy extra tips, 5 tips cost 5 bucks and they can be found in the wacom website....

  • hm i didn't even know tips can be changed... Thnx!!!

  • no problem

  • So bamboo tablet is good for beginners and bit advanced drawers? i was thinking of buying one for myself... Im not after drawing mona lisa stuff just some regular anime and stuff =)

  • yeah, it should be fine for that, even if u wanna take an attempt at drawing mona lisa lol...i mean some people in youtube create gems and masterpieces with their bamboo, its amazing...all about practice

The Bamboo fun offers an 8x6 tablet, but its priced higher, so buy one based on your preference...

  • I recently came to the conclusion that i need a pen tablet as well for my illustrations. As a beginner (with CS3/illustrator), you can imagine that paying well over 200 bucks for an intuos is a bit too much. so i was thinking about getting this one. i don't like the feel of the Bamboo fun... do you recon I will be satisfied getting a bamboo (this one)? as many vids say it's manly for office use. I would use it for tracing my drawings...thanks in advance!

  • that was my main reason for getting the bamboo actually....Didn't want to spend like 400 dollars on a tablet....

yes, the bamboo should do the job fine, just make sure you have your own drawing aplications...and your good to go

  • I just got mine its a little tricky to use really.

  • solid snake is awesome <3

  • That's actually Big Boss (Naked Snake) but solid is also awesome. I just like Big Boss more because of his eye patch =D

  • Well yeah. I was going to correct myself but I usually don't think about that. I haven't beaten MGS 3 snake eater yet lol

  • okay okay, im going to tell you 2 things:

    1) The ending is freaking awesome! And i can't stress that fact enough.

    2) MGS has the best theme song =D

  • I know! I have a video of me playing it on the piano. But I messed up a few times. And I'm stoked about seeing the ending :)

  • Awesomeness! I'm gonna check that video out right now...

  • mgs 2 has finale march and i think thats the best one

  • Hey! Great Video. I really enjoyed it!

Is the board pressure sensitive ? So when I draw with a low pressure, the line is thin ?

    Thank you in advance,

    Take Care, Lenny

  • Yup, its pressure sensitive, so it does exactly what you said. Also, due to pressure sensitivity, you can also control the opacity (light or dark strokes)

Thank you for watching the video, and always happy to help.

  • Thank you so much for your fast answer! :)

That possibility to control the opacity is great, too!

    You are a great "YouTube'r".

Keep on creating those nice Videos.

    Take Care,

    Lenny

  • Humm, the bamboo tablet is the cheapst of all wacom tablet. it has only 512 pressure levels, and others has live over 1000. but dont worry, it still does the job fine ^^;;;

  • Spot-on mate

  • I dont know if my pen is messed up or something but I'm having lost of trouble with the eraser it wont act like if it was presure sensitive and it gets kind of stuck.... is it normal?

  • The eraser for the normal bamboo is NOT pressure sensitive...

The eraser for Bamboo FUN IS pressure sensitive...

  • who this? :d

  • by using pen tool on photoshop you will get much better results than any wacom

  • maybe true, but you also lose the fluidity and the sheer enjoyment of the "pen to paper" feel. But thats my opinion only.

  • The thing I don't like about installing the tablet software is that is slows my laptop a lot. Especially when it starts up. Argh!

  • Yup, and its always running in the background processes from the time you install it.

  • is there any way to not make it slow my computer?

  • to check if its running go to the little microsoft logo in the bottom right of the screen and press run if its not there just search for it, then type msconfig and you can see all the programs that are running and make them stop. BE CAREFUL YOU DONT STOP THE WRONG THING

  • Today I bought the WACOM BAMBOO! I can't wait to draw!

  • ME TO DUDE!!!

  • me too. :)

  • congrats guys...hope you have fun with it.

  • i bought me a cheap tablet and it works a charm in PS

  • Which one?

  • how do you trace the image with a blank sheet i dont know to to get my layers transparant to trace stuff can someone plz help me

  • Click the add layer button. Done.

  • Big Boss is watching you!

  • ...with his one eye........*shudders*

  • and it took 10 minutes almost.... hehhh

  • SNAAAAAAKE!!!!!!!! lol

  • ROFL

  • Comment removed

  • original bamboo, the black one for so called "office work"

Works fine for drawing for me

  • hey just to make sure

um...did you use a bamboo fun or the original bamboo?

  • What I'd like to know is why there are almost 40k views and close to 100 comments on this video. I mean, Niloy135790 admits this is not a showcase of sheer skill or expertise, so why then the interest? My videos have been on for about the same amount of time and have 2% the views of this vid. And on the subject of tablets, the Wacom Graphire series works fine for the aspiring artist/hobbyist.

  • Because the person in this video traced over the legendary Big Boss.

  • Couldn't have said it better myself.

  • because when I search for "photoshop" or "tracing" or "wacom tablet", this video shows in the results... "Rough Sketch" and "Anime bikini girl on the beach" do not show in the results so no-one finds your videos!

  • so it is possible to trace!

  • just load any picture into photoshop and create a new blank layer on top and trace it! you dont need a pen to do that, you can do it with a mouse too :)
