If you ever go to Hawaii, I really suggest Kauai. Its really small and everyone is so damn laid back. It is just amazingly gorgeous and they have great food and beaches. If you want a lot of partying and drunkards I would pick some other island, or go island hopping :]

Screw Sydney. Melbourne is way more fun, more affordable, with nicer people. If you want beaches go north to Queensland or Darwin. Melbourne is definately the best I mean you could always just drive to sydney for a weekend to see the sites.
