  • Interesting observations about aptitude or lack thereof, and possible reasons. I'm not Asian (AFAIK), but American of German/Irish/other European descent... lots of lessons but never managed freestyle/butterfly yet got ribbons in breaststroke and side stroke when I was younger and can still do them today. Came here to improve my turn, thought there was a prettier way. :)

  • His hands didnt touch simultaneously so it was illegal

  • sometime I can't grab the edge...

  • @hayleydisca train to not need to grab the edge just touch it and then turn, its harder but if you can do that it won't be a problem anymore

  • Do you think a particular race, culture, or bodytype excels at breastroke? As a lifeguard I would always see many Asian rec swimmers with great technique. A swimmer with big hips/strong abductors can do well with this stroke.

  • i dont think its so much to do with natural abilities, but its just that in lots of azn countries breaststroke is the stroke they teach the most. i know coz im from china. my parents and grandparents all cant do the freestyle but they can all pull off a decent breaststroke

  • lovelax67 your the idiot my sis is a swimmer and thats how you do the turn do u even swim>??

cuz if u dont u shouldnt be talking!

and if u do u must really suck and get disquieted for not doing it right

  • breaststroke is not an easy stroke..

  • @levesque2177 I oddly find it the easiest one
