  • The public land (such as islands and beaches) cannot be SOLD, that is clearly prohibited by the Greek Constitution and noone can disregard it or change it. That's absolutely impossible. Rent, fenced and utilised could be possible if the supreme court allowed it; and it won't.

Some big companies can be sold and most of Greeks want them to be sold, cause simply the workers there are lousy and most of them, practically illiterate, covered by the former state of permanency and high payments.

  • how else could they buy this land? they needed a plan and the greek goverment helped them make it real

  • WTF SELLING PUBLIC LAND? What's next? Paying different owners for each block of pedestrian side walks? All of those crazy nut heads calling for smaller government and larger private sectors...what private companies ever do to help the homeless people on the street? You can argue to decrease homelessness but never can you actually grant help for the homeless ppl that are already out there hah.

  • WHEN PARLIAMENT IS ON SALE WILL IT BE MORE THAN 10 DOLLARS CASH IN HAND ? HAHAHAHAHHAHAH

  • Greek debt crisis? Greece have everything we didnt need anything to borrow. Who the fuck started to borrow people? I dont think so. Everything is a fucking big plan that fucks countries like spain, greece, portugal, italy and so on (other will come dont worry), for money. They fuck us for power and money but they fuck with the wrong country/countries. They want us to OBEY and they know that the greek nation through history was the difficult one to OBEY. But they are still trying fuckers.

  • i wouldnt invest. they do not keep there word.

.5 trillion dollar debt and only 10million of them.

thieves is the only discription for hellsass.

  • Don't mess up with Turkey and spent your money to feed your starving stomach. I mean no military expense. Because it is no use, you don't stand any chance to compete with such a grand power like Turkey. May my best fucks prevail.

  • What the Persians under Xerxes and Darius could not do, is now being done to Greece by international bankers.

Where is the modern day Leonidas, with his 300 Spartans, to draw the line in the sand. That when the Chinese and Japanese investors come to claim the Acropolis or Delphi, who will dare them to "come and take them!" --as was done 2500 years ago?

  • The Greeks brought it upon themselves. It's clear that they're simply a lazy people. Reinstate the Drachma, let them devalue it so that it matches their economic potency. That should give them some time. Time to think about how to change their ways.

Sorry if my English has serious flaws.

  • @meh23p germany has bigger debt than greece.... fucker! it is a global capitalism crisis, having to do nothing with debt.I guess u cannot make analysis, only repeat the urban propaganda the media feed u with.Chew it pig and spew it. Because urself cannot have opinion

  • Madness?

THIS (Sparta) IS OWNED BY CHINAAA!!!

  • No worries, Greece will be rescued by Turkey.

    Are you asking how?

Turkish Tourists spend a lot in Greek Islands and these days they are treated like Kings and Queens. But for the future, Greek friends don't stand any chance for picking up. Why? Because they are the laziest people of the world. They came so far with European loans which stimulated the country. And I am asking ; how about from now on? Just Hell.

  • @baksin you are ignorant and obviously don't know much about what's going on in the world. in other words SHUT UP u IDIOT!!!!!

  • @marymayman

I know very well what is going in the world baby. Let's see, Greece for example. They are starving despite all European Aid and support. If no EU help , what would they do? for sure, they would sell their asses to feed their stomach. So what was our lesson? Starvation in Greece. So, I send you my best fuck dear motherfucker. I wouldn't want you to die starving. I can come and give you some food, but I want your ass in return.

  • Get the incredible story of the crisis from data perspective at Knoema.com

  • Fuck'em , they should have worked a bit when they decided to borrow money instead wasting money on propaganda against Macedonia.

Only country where you can retire at the age of 53 without self funded income.

  • @Prilep1903 ANOTHER IDIOT!!!!!

  • yes sell it all open the doors to all the other countries become the whore of europe fucken politicians

  • Sell the banks not the lands.

  • The Chinese are ready to buy, do it like the French sold Louisiana, Russian sold Alaska......When you need money...sell it.

  • @kleancuts Debt = Slavery, sad but true those in debt will submit to any means in order to survive. To make things even more complex and worse the debt is imaginary(artifically created by central banks with the creation of inflation and interest), while the average has to acquire debt in order to buy a car, home, etc the rich continue to steal the "weath" from me and you. Mother fuckers need to pay, there really is no other solution other than to kill this cock sucking mother fuckers.

  • @kleancuts There is a difference; These countries sold COLONIES. You're asking for our homeland. Other countries owe multiple times as Greece does, and yet the media tends to depict the Greeks as the ones that caused the crisis, which is of course ridicoulous. Not to mention the amount of countries (Germany and France included) that have debts so high that even they are above the Maastricht limit of 60%.

  • The EU needs to kick them out!

  • This is so sad to watch, international bankers will take it all.

  • Fuck fuck fuck the banks. Fuck them off from you land.

  • @ashutoshmikku Give me a gun i'll rob a bank give me a bank i'll rob the world want to know how? THE MONEY MASTERS the Most informative video at how few crooked banksters robbed America n the world

  • @ashutoshmikku and the treaty runs out next year you will lose Macedonia. so dont sell that land. its not yours.

    BUYERS BEWARE

  • Greeks will not be allowed on private land unless their serving the German and Chinese tourists

bow down to your new conquerors Greeks

  • @godscuttingyoudown lol IDIOT obviously u don't know what's happening in the world right NOW, while u try to live ur poor ass life.....

  • heh.... bankers set up amonetary system, greece borrows money, gets in over their head now they have to sell off their land to the rich people who've leeched the money from everyone, through shady trading, credit default swaps, bad mortgages. the 1% of the mega rich are slowly buying up the world.

  • The difference is that the Greek state economy is fu*ked up and runs a primary deficit. They can't even raise enough funds to keep the pay of salaries and pensions flowing (that’s what parts of the bailouts going to). In the event of a full default, forced out of the euro zone, bailouts suspended and virtually no creditworthiness - they could only balance the books by paying in drachma and risk extreme devaluation thereof. Mass money printing is a game for the big financial players…….

  • Is it just me, or did the Greek people lose their luster once they started praying to a dead Jew on a stick? Dead Jew on a stick religion does to man what neutering does to dogs. Where are Leonidas and his 300 now?

  • @TheAmericanMirror

300 is also the number of the Greek parliament members, but these fools are not to be compared to the glorious Spartans! Also the primeminister Papandreou is for sure not Leonidas!!

Modern Greece has nothing to do with the ancient one. The Greeks have long gone, they dissolved in the global mix and only their legacy remains.

  • How did Iceland handle this?

  • @TheAmericanMirror

Basically by nationalizing their private owned banks and saying bugger off, they cant pay you, to foreign banks - and getting away with it. Iceland Is a special case.It did just fine up to the bank crises, and trades exports for imports. It doesn’t really need the global financial system ,so the debt that some crazy private banks incurred is irrelevant. It's a luxury Greece dont have.

  • @knutgordon I don't think you know or you understand Greece its economics or its resources.

Greece will be fine....but has to default yesterday!!

The Euro will take the hit...but the Euro is what created the problem in the first place.

Independent economies with a single currency is madness and it will never work.

    Greece......default!!!!

  • @9ior77

I would crack a beer and enjoy the fireworks in the streets afterward as the state will have to immediately carry out the kinds of cuts that they have not dared to carry out up till now. There is not enough ouzo in Greece to cover that headache..

  • @knutgordon If Greece defaults....it will make the ECB print Euros in order to refinance. Euro will fall below the US dollar and this will mean trillions of loss to all Eurozone . It will also hit US big time because of the CDS,. This is why the bailouts keep on coming! If Greece returns to drachma "Iceland " will happen again. The whole mess this would create will actually be good for Greece if you think about it.

  • ...….. In the view of UBS, subjective or not, Greece could lose up to half its GDP. That’s quite brutal. Let's forget about foreign banks that hold Greek sovereign debt and assume that their respective governments and ECB will/must take care of them. Greek banks are large holders of Greek sovereign debt as well. Who will take care of them? Certainly not the Greek government. If their banks collapse because they cannot absorb losses of that scale on their own, that would be even more brutal.

  • @knutgordon Yes, the Greek banks will collapse regardless of owning Greek sovereign debt or not. This is why I said "Iceland will happen again"!

Greece is in reality an un-utilised country with a lot of potential, so when it will be left with no choice, it will only take around 2-3 to recover.

There is no money and there is no way to find the money

Greece has to default, or Europe has to fix its economic system.

A monetary union without fiscal union is destined to collapse.....

  • @9ior77

The Iceland bank still exist today, although with different owners, and the national Iceland economy as a whole was and is rather healthy. Same with Russia, that defaulted back then also. Greece are worse off, Greece will both default and have their drachma and their "freedom" from EU. The question is rather when and how it will happen than if. There is default, with some kind of deal made out with trading partners and finance institutions, and there is DEFAULT............

  • ............The problem facing the Greek is they has little to fall back on and that they are still spending more than they can afford even with EU life support. The Greek economy produces little actual wealth. Few industries with little depth. no huge pool of skilled workers to draw upon. Tourism is way down due to the recession. Same with shipping. Even agriculture is in trouble. Greece have to slim down the fat and become competitive again. May take more than 2-3 years to recover that.

  • @knutgordon

The Greek economy produces not enough wealth, because what you see in this video...bureaucratic mess!

Greece has a vast number of skilled workers, but they are either unemployed, work in a take-away, or go abroad.

Tourism is not down but up, as more than 16million tourists arrived this year, but only accounts for 1% of GDP.

Greek shipping fleet accounts for 18% of the worlds shipping with over 3,000 vessels, but the profits don't go to Greece, they are probably 90% offshore.

  • Fart-loving greeks

  • Change will come from the Barell of a GUN !

  • @longgoodbyeIreland so sad, but so true.

  • Who controls the Bank, who runs the FED, who controls the Banking system Globally with the exception of the Arab Banks. How have they tricked the Arabs, they Bank with European Banks & US Banks and they concoct, stories to get their assets FROZEN in their Banks and take control of their money, by deception. What do they do afterwards dectroy their economies. Has anybody ever froze any European money anywhere, no because they know how to deceive other, and people never learn by their mistakes.

  • All these things were pre planned, if 40% of the Millionairs in America is 2% of the population, who is going to buy up Greek assets. The film Omen, he will not stop till all that is your is his. How will Satan rise to power throught Politics, why has it become clear that all politicans work for this shadow Government, who is it who lurks in the shadow??.

  • This is truly disgusting. They should have defaulted.

  • NWO in progress.

  • Bounce back Greece....

  • @dragon8me2

Republicans? You mean the Federal Reserve...

Republicans and democrats are the same false ideologies, just summed up with differ priorities first..

  • A sell off??? Why not just lease it.

  • I hope the investors will continue to struggle with the bureacracy, the beaches belong to the people and should be free to swim in forever (granted people are willing to take care of it and keep it pristine). If the rich get it, better believe it will be fenced off and marked with "private property-keep off" signs.

  • what a sham... the bankers create worthless paper "assets" like CDOs, and sell them to your "government" and in return they get your real assets like your national beaches, your land, your whole danm country. It's high time people came together and put and end to this ponzi scheme called the "global financial system", it's only purpose is to consolidate and confiscate real wealth for paper.

  • @sharpcin "what a sham... the bankers create worthless paper "assets" like CDOs, and sell them to your "government" and in return they get your real assets like your national beaches, your land, your whole danm country."

You're the only one that gets it. Even our own bailouts in the US were bogus. The money was created in a computer and NOT backed by anything. The US is NOT honest about the Dollar's value. The EU could do the same.

Extensions on loans could have been granted.Greeks got fucked

  • @sharpcin i agree 100% brother

  • @sharpcin You cannot just blame the bankers as the Greeks themselves must take most of the blame for running huge budget deficits for decades. Corruption is rife, no-one pays any tax, children collect their deceased parents pension, they spend billions on defence but 80% goes on administration. They have had one hell of a party for the last 10 years and the bill has just arrived and the vultures are circling.

  • @alcraig I agree, the culture of corruption usually starts at the very top of the country's leadership and works it's way down, it's all a part of their swindle, they create incredible asset price bubbles to the point that the average citizen can't make ends meet anymore and you create an environment in which corruption becomes a means for survival. It's also interesting how every country is going bankrupt at the same time, I guess they must all be corrupt?? hmm,... it's the banksters!

  • @sharpcin Blaming the Banks is a total cop-out. How about personal responsibility. Greece has a per capita GDP of $30k and have a very high standard of living. They knew this was coming but they don't care they just want to grab as much as they can before it all collapses then throw their hands in the air and complain it's all the fault of the government or the bankers which is very convenient. Stop apologising for their appalling behavior, they've got the government they deserve.

  • @alcraig well, I hope you feel that the banksters are innocent when it happens to your county as this will soon be the scene in more of the Eurozone and the USA as well... I guess the per capita GDP for most of the citizens in those countries is too low and that they all cheat on their taxes as well. C'mon it's time to see the light here, this is a backdoor bank bailout, the ECB takes from German/French citizen's taxes gives to the Greek Government who gives it to French/German banks!! wake up.

  • @alcraig None of us knew that the budget crisis was imminent, unless you imply that Wall Street banks in collaboration with ordinary Greeks disguised the true extent of our deficit.Oh,I assure you that we NEVER enjoyed a high standard of living here.Do you have to pay for commodities like education and medical treatment like we "profligate" Greeks do?My family spent above 8000€ on private institutions over the last two years(10% of our annual income)due to the inefficiency of public education.

  • @JeanMaria93 What a joke, according to the corruption watchdog Transparency International Corruption in Greece is so rife that 13.4 per cent of respondents even demanded bribe money from those carrying out the questionnaire!

You got the Government you deserve

  • @alcraig Er,never in my post did I say that our government isn't flawed...My point is that people need to stop believing that up until 2009 Greeks were living the dolce vita, which is fallacy.

  • @alcraig -In there lies the big problem, don't forget free education and no land taxes. How can anyone in this day and age expect to live as the Greeks have for the longest time and not have to pay.I say to the Greeks; Suck it up, do some work, pay some taxes and stop whining....If it was I in charge of this fiasco, I'd have kicked them out of the EU, as soon as everyone found out they lied/covered up their financial situation to get in to the EU.

  • @Flagrum3 Unfortunately they cannot expell them from the EU because the owe too much money to mostly German banks, which is the reason they hid their debt. Now they owe so much, if they are pushed too hard to make changes they just threaten to default which will have a detrimental effect on the Euro.

  • @alcraig -Well I realize that, that is why I stated 'as soon as everyone found out", that was a while ago even before the pay-outs began. As for the topic of Greece vs. the States; I'm definitely no expert but there is no comparison. The States can and will turn it around and as in everything they do, 'In a Big Way'...it's still one the largest economies in the world and 30 times that of Greece. The U.S just has to learn to tax their rich & corps more and the problem is basically solved.

  • @sharpcin Have you ever owned property in Greece? have you ever tried to sell property in Greece with a help of a greec real-estate agent????..do you think that Greece is Spain?....can inform you that most greec real-estate is worthless..and if sold you fetch prices you couldn t buy a small apartment in Nice for....Greece is a pile of shit, nothing else.

  • Greece is only nominally helmed by a "socialist" party gov't.

The PEOPLE of Greece need to seize the reigns and wipe the slate clean. New constitution, new legislature, and real socialist democracy.

...AND get control of the issuing of their OWN CURRENCY while they're at it.

  • Rich people are buying up the land from the greek people, its not the people who are selling their land. Don't you notice when someone is fucking with you? Selling of something that you can not own is ridiculous. You can only live on land and take care of it, the planet is doing the owning though. Or do you think that you control the weather and plate shifting?

  • If republicans (tax and spend anti-capitalist corporatists of the Trotsky mould) and democrats (tax and spend anti-capitalist corporatists of the Stalin mould) have their way, America IS next.

  • It might help the economy to have their coast guard stopping boats with humanitarian aid.

  • What are the super rich buyers going to do with a beach?

  • @jacksrumgone Build hotels, and villas on a beautiful piece of beach, and rent it out to tourists...

  • Debt = Death.

  • Cascading domino effect of Greece to spread throughout Europe.

    Translation: Death of Euro.

  • @iknewitalready

    very unlikely

  • @KarujaSipelgas

What is different with Greece's european neighbors?

  • @iknewitalready

higher productivity, actual willingness to cut, less corruption and bureaucracy at all levels, that would cover most of the difference

  • @KarujaSipelgas

Which European country does that now?

  • @iknewitalready

Almost all eurozone countrys have higher productivity, Greeks bureaucracy and corruption seem to exceptional, austerity is going on round europe where its needed without massive street fights.

The euro is good for france and gemany, they won't give up their lovechild, no matter how hard it politically may be to pay the bills, the euro helps to export more. German economy is booming right now, the euro pays a vital part in that.

  • It's not rocket science, end fractional reserve banking, initiate free market banking or in other words a 100 percent reserve requirement, if only the Greek people knew this!

  • Imminent predicament for Greece's neighbors in Europe.

  • The Greek people need to opt out of government, and help themselves! Get a new currency, gold, silver, or what ever the market would choose, end the welfare state, and produce things, only then will things turn around!

  • Banksters will not stop till they own it all!

If Greece knew better they should get out of the Euro zone and then do like Iceland ! "Don't pay the bankers who ripped you off" ...then take your time to pay the fair debt.

Our politicians are sell our country to eu, imf, and you still. Why don't you let us bankrupt. We want our freedom and we'll make everything for take our country again. remember this.

Well if Greece goes bankrupt then you have to cut pension's and other social programs even more and faster because there won't be any money. Default would make Greece poorer, why go that road? The austerity will suck but the banks will roll over some of the dept and with good reforms Greece can come out stronger out of this crisis.

  • Sad.

  • lets sell them get the money pay off debts and then nationalize. Spread the wealth :D
